Rule 2 - No racism, sexism, ableism, or discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender, gender expression, religion, or any hate speech of any kind. See rule 1.
Rule 3 - No discussion of politics or religion. Exceptions are bands like Rage Against The Machine where politics are a large part of their music.
Rule 4 - No travel/lift sharing posts - there is a channel in our discord for this, and also a Facebook Group
Rule 5 - No ambassador scheme sales.
Rule 6 – Contact the mods before posting any surveys, fundraising drives, petitions etc.
Rule 7 – If you’re posting screenshots of social media posts, redact people’s names and any other info.
Rule 8 - Don't ask where or how to get hooked up, or how to hide drugs or get them into the arena or campsite.
Talking about drugs is not banned. Discussing stories of when you were on drugs is fine. Discussing harm reduction or how to get help if 'a friend' gets too fucked up is fine. We want this to be a place for info about welfare and first aid and making sure you don't die.
Rule 9 - No Gatekeeping
Rule 10 - No ticket selling/buying/giving away posts

This was in reference to somebody stating a negative opinion about Muse and the response was that they are ‘gatekeeping music’. Honestly, it’s getting cringe now. People are going to have different musical opinions. Especially about bands like Muse who are highly polarizing in the download community. Yes, some of these views are presented in a dogmatic way, but it doesn’t mean that they’re ‘gatekeeping’. They are not controlling or limiting other’s access to music. They’re simply stating an opinion that an open free speech platform like Reddit allows them to do.
Have you discovered any bands this year that you'd like to see on the line up on future?
Doesn't have to be new bands, just new to you.
For me:
Raises the likelihood of them playing Download
Hey, so is it a deal of you have to bring portable chargers or is there some other way to charge phones while there? (First time next year) Thank you.
Ep 05 - "8000 Miles to Metal; A Journey to Download Festival!” is now live.
This week we look at the unique story of Jesna (735ART) who travelled nearly 8,000 miles to be part of the Download family.
Jesna's journey from a remote village in Bali, Indonesia to be part of the sell out crowd in 2023 is unlike anything we've ever had the honour of being part of, and his retelling of his experience of the festival is truly not to be missed.
I got tickets for rock I’m park instead :)
I went, but stayed in a hotel in derby. I was so dirty each night and I'm really impressed by anyone who survived camping. I was just wondering how people managed it, did you avoid the inside of the tent getting muddy? Showers at night ? But then I guess you'd get muddy coming back from the showers.
Personally, I think my mum would have ABBA, Madonna and Kylie Minogue 💃
Already got this declined on the facebook but I’m desperate (admins please allow🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻)
Per chance has anyone got 2 spiritbox tickets going for the 13th Feb next year🙏🏻🙏🏻
Wondering if its leaked or fan generated because i NEED to get a ticket if its true...has a "leak" like this happened before? What do you reckon the chances are?
With the announcement only a few weeks away, what band announcement has taken you by surprise the most?
A couple come to mind for me, just as examples.
Die Antwoord subbing Slipknot, Smashing Pumpkins subbing (they had previously headlined most festivals they'd done), and the daddy of them all for me, Busted headlining a tent (which made me literally stand up as I couldn't quite believe that they were at Download at all.)
Mike (The LoadDown Podcast)
Call me crazy but I think around 2030 electric call it will headline the way they’ve been going and how popular they’ve been getting I think they’ll be the new bmth
Me and my best friend have got tickets for 3 days camping in the quiet area, I’m 16 and he’s just turned 17. We have gigs booked before Download itself - but it’s nothing like this.
We both don’t know what to do, what to pack, how to even survive to be honest. We’re both huge metal heads and Downloads soemthing we’ve discussed since we became friends, and now it’ll be our first proper festival.
