I like doujin music. Quite a lot. Sadly, a bunch of shady 3rd party "distribution" groups and 4chan trolls have been bombarding youtube doujin uploaders with false copyright strikes. The videos are therefore privatized, and sometimes the channels get completely wiped. And because youtube refuses to even let you read the titles of copyright struck videos, it can be hard to find what used to occupy that grey box. So, this is where the ScarletDevil website comes in. I'll show you how to use it with an "idiot's guide" style short tutorial.
Go into your playlist, find the struck video, and copy its url. Then, cut and paste the video code. This is the random mix of numbers, letters and sometimes symbols that follow the youtube.com/watch?v= portion of the url. If your video was in a playlist, it's url will look something like this: "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57IYBcSUfe8&list=PLCHqB-fJfkTrZ7fcQY7Ts4bFk4PwlmbYn&index=95", the video code is contained between "youtube.com/watch?v=", and "&list".
If your video url was NOT located in a youtube playlist, it will look something like this: "youtube/video.php?v=wncg35s0zks". Take the code, in this case, wncg35s0zks, and put it in the ScarletDevil search bar. It will return to you the video's information; date, uploader, original URL, the name of the song and sometimes the description.
in this case the video's metadata is as follows:
"Title Touhou Remix #6 (Folk) The Fantastic Legend of Tohno
Channel Bishamontenreturn
Published 2012-08-15T18:14:00.000Z
Description Title: 御霊遷
Circle: Floating Cloud
Album: Carnival!
Original Composer: ZUN
From: Perfect Cherry Blossom
A fantastic folk arrange of The Fantastic Legend of Tohno by a fantastic circle. Enough fantastic. Floating Cloud is one of my favorite folk arranger. They give a celtic atmosphere to all their songs, and that's pretty awesome!"

This website was originally created for the recovery of touhou music, and it has an immense amount of information. If you aren't looking for touhou songs, you can still use the youtube video code to try to find metadata that users inadvertently captured; you might find discussion about your video on twitter or reddit, for example, or on one of the thousands of Chinese or Russian information sharking websites. However, do NOT use the full url, only the video code. The full url will only return results if the video had tens of thousands of views- and most of my doujin music does not.
Just wondering how everyone heard their first doujin songs etc
When dojin.co was still there it was by far the best imo, apparently DoujinStyle is the current best one but I find it quite mediocre tbh. I really hope there's something better.
Just wondering if anyone managed to get that C95 Gyari Album. Can't find it anywhere. http://www.gyari.com/content/mugen-sora-t/
I really really want this song, sadly the uploader had audio issues that were never fixed.
Sorry if this is not quite the right place to post but I cannot really think of an appropriate subreddit for this.
I am looking for anime remixes or galgame music remixes essentially. I guess they are mainly DnB / bootleg.
Examples:
Shiroki Yami no Arabesque (Soleily Remix)
White Eternity (Soleily & Epsilon Remix)
Star map (Soleily Remix)
Snow Halation (REDSHiFT Remix) (Kimunyu Ver.)
Okaeri (Asterisk Remix)
Hitorigoto (Inulloid DnB Remix)
Stella-rium (Puru Remix)
Any recommendations?
