So I got a Wiimote off Amazon to connect to my laptop to run Wii games on Dolphin. I was able to connect it but for some reason as soon as I plug in the nunchuck the Wiimote stops working entirely. Does anyone know what’s going on?
Just downloaded dolphin emulator and medal of honor frontline and i love it. Used some settings from youtube and its running good now, but only one problem occurs anyone know how to fix this? The Hud and the player character keeps flickering.
So I just bought a new USB OTG cable and I was wondering if I could use it to play on the emulator with my controller?
Is my cpu just too slow? or my GPU? I find that lowering the resolution to 720P makes the game run smoother. Any settings I should try and explore? TIA.
I am not sure what is causing, this is issue it seems to be whenever I play wii games but It's hard to tell. after I use it for a bit it refuses to close and when I reopen it I get a whitescreen followed by it not responding. this effects other emulators too but steam games seem to be just fine.
I am running windows 11
I have a Nidia GTX 4060 TI
does anyone know how to swap out skylanders during gameplay? dolphin doesnt let me do more than one in the emulated portal at a time, and wont let me edit during gameplay. also, what is the C button control? thanks!
after many times of trying and struggling with dolphin emulator, now I can finally play it, it feel really cool to play the games I used to play when I was a little kid, I am so happy, I want to try punch out first, what game should I try after that? I'll be reading your comments!
Hello guys. I use the android app on my z flip 5 and it used to run wonderfully until one day it started freezing as soon as i open the game but it's more like the game freezes and doesn't go further than the press start menu, but i can exit the emulation just fine. At first closing and opening the app would fix it but now even reinstalling it didn't work.
Has anyone had this experience? If not, are there any emulator alternatives for GameCube i can use? I'm having a hard time finding a good one.
Thank you!
Hello, I was wondering if you are able to play and use the PS2 buzzer and games that support it such as robojam or jungle party on dolphin?
Which would be better for Steam Deck, 2x SSAA or using 1080p downsampled with one of the resampling filters? Or FXAA? Looking to eliminate aliasing from the lower screen resolution while not draining too much more battery.
i just bought a new wii remote after discovering dolphin emulator, becuase trying to use mouse and keyboard just didnt work well for certain games, im almost certain the wii remotes and nunchucks i bought are off brand and am worried that that is the reason they wont connect to my pc, ive tried all the different ways of connecting a bluetooth device i can think of and just cant get either of them to pop up on the add a device screen when trying to connect. im not sure if im just doing something wrong or these controllers are just a lost hope
Hey all, today I decided to finally get Xemu working on the steam deck, and after doing the steps to put NCAA 2006 on my deck, it is running very poorly. Like I mean, textures are popping in and out + 5 FPS. Would anyone know of a possible solution to this, or the problem at hand at all? Thanks a lot.
It appeared out of nowhere on certain textures, first on the groubd where the pumpkins are in ordon village, now it's on the rock texture after crossing the bridge. Everything works out fine, just this bug.
I wanna connect my wiimots to the dolphin, which mod should I use? I heard that passtrough has better experience, audio and other things, but i thas some limitations too, like you can't access the BT adapter while using special driver and you need to buy special tested adapter or solder the wii modem. All the guides I've seen use the emulate BT adapter mode with selected "Real Wii Remote" option. So, is there really that much of a difference and is it worth it to buy/solder adapter for passtrogh? Also, does the list of adapters for passtrough apply for "Emulate the Wii's Bluetooth adapter" mod or any adapter will work fine?
I missed the secret boss, I remembered hearing their was a secret boss but didn't check literally at the final boss of the game, and you've gotta go in and out the motel to trigger but can't do it at this point, and it can be only happen after the robot football dude, does anyone have No More Heroes 2 BEFORE you're rank 2 savefile, I don't wanna do like 2 hours of playing again
is it possible for me to turn roms into Wii channels so I can have all my games in the Wii menu? (As in .wbfs / .nkit.iso , not WAD)
So, I own a legal copy of Super Smash Bros Brawl. But when I set everything up and launched the game I got a black screen. So I checked the MD5 and it confirmed that my version of the game is not compatible with Project Plus. Can someone please tell me how to get it to work despite this? Is there a fix for this? Frankly it's absolute bullshit that I can't play this game just because I don't have the version of the game that's supported it's still Brawl.
how can i setup the gyroscope or touch screen to emulate wii remote and nunchuck specific for godfather game
i looked at every guide on youtube but they were like 4+ years ago, i need help
I am fostering a child this Christmas season. She’s six and has had a very rough life. I wanted to set up the dolphin emulator so we can play. I got the emulator set up and my games are booting up. However, when I try to connect my 8bitdo Xbox controller, the option isn’t there. When I try to connect the Wii motes (fake or real), they show that they are sinked to the bar but nothing rumbles and they don’t work on the games. Any advice? Please help me!!!
All my Wii games work on my retroid pocket 5 except this game. I can’t seem to swing the ball with left joystick. Am I missing a setting?
Thanks
hello! I'm trying to set my emulated wii mote to tilt forward when the Y+ axis of my mouse is above. 8 but im failing to type it correctly and receive syntax errors. can anyone correct this for me?

When it was first revealed, the Retro Fighters BattlerGC Pro immediately caught my eye. It has a chance to be the "everything" GameCube controller. It is very close to an authentic GameCube controller, with proper octogonal gates and stick shapes, GC layout face buttons, and even analog triggers with a digital click! It even sits in the hand pretty similarly to a GameCube controller. However, it is also a modern PC game controller, with easy connectivity to PC via the included dongle or bluetooth, and modern features like thumbsticks that click when pressed, a capture button, buttons on the back of the controller, and even hall-effect joysticks and triggers, oh my! The BattlerGC Pro has the potential to bring the awesome GameCube controller layout and feel forward into the future, while also still working well with the past.
And now I've used it! It doesn't look as good as a GameCube controller (though transparent plastic helps), but the BattlerGC Pro feels fantastic in the hand. The buttons are good, and after a little breaking in the facebuttons feel quite similar to a GameCube controller's, good job Retro Fighters. Connectivity was easy, and the joysticks feel great and most important feel like a GameCube controller's. Trying it on a GameCube, it isn't perfectly a GameCube controller, but it's close enough that it felt like a GameCube controller. Hopping into games, it felt natural. The only exclusion would be the triggers, but within ten minutes I got used to it and was flying around Rogue Leader without issue.
However, connecting it to PC revealed the controllers weaknesses.
First, the joysticks. Hall-effect joysticks feel amazing; the travel is soooo smooth. But the gates of hall-effect joysticks are terrible, with weird squircle off-center nonsense that's requires calibration. Install a hall-effect joystick replacement in a steam deck and test them, and you'll know exactly what I mean. I was hoping the octogonal gates would minimize that particular downside of the technology, and for the Left Stick, it does. The Right Stick however is quite off! https://i.imgur.com/o6g6AnE.png Dolphin was able to calibrate around this, but I wasn't able to calibrate it in Steam, and Window's calibration is a joke. So for PC games, the Right Stick is just off.
EDIT: Tried the calibration feature I didn't know existed. It helped a little bit but it's more or less the same.
Getting the analog tiggers with a digital click to work in Dolphin was a chore. It's possible, definitely, but I had to kick the controller into Dinput mode and use a combination of DInput and SDL to get all of the trigger's features to actually work in Dolphin. Specifically, the analog trigger and the controller in general was using SDL, but the triggers' digital clicks were Dinput. It works, but it's a pain, and definitely beyond the ability of most players. I really hope they will have an update in the future to expose the trigger's digital buttons as buttons in SDL.
As for Steam, the digital click in the triggers effectively doesn't exist. Steam has support for the feature, after all the Steam Controller has GameCube style digital click! But it just wasn't exposed. Again, hopefully they expose it through SDL. Or maybe even Steam Input itself?
EDIT: Applied the new update, and it's a lot easier to make it work in Dolphin. It's not good for PC use, as I'd want the thumbsticks AND the digital trigger click as separate mappable butons for programming fancy couch gaming setups (and while I'm at it, the back buttons too!). But for specifically Dolphin and it's needs, it's easier now.
One thing I couldn't make work was P1 and P2. No matter what I tried, the controller's back buttons are not exposed as buttons for regular mapping. Not in Dinput, not in SDL, not in Dolphin, not in Steam, nothing. That's a bloody shame. In PC gaming, I use back facing buttons all the time for all kinds of things, and I am very used to them being their own buttons. Having them exclusively serve as duplicates for other buttons already on the controller is a huge disappointment for me. I really really really want them to expose P1 and P2 as regular buttons for mapping on PC.
And rumble seems locked to Xinput mode only. Meh.
Last but not least, apparently only Switch gets Gyro, because it is not enabled at all on PC. BOO! That's a feature I rely on when couch gaming, and to be able to be my go-to controller for PC, it has to have it. That alone relegates this controller to niche uses for me. I'll use my BattlerGC Pro in Dolphin for GameCube things on my GameCube directly, but for PC gaming, no gyro means I'll continue to be using my Dual Sense Edge. Hopefully that changes in the future with an update!
All in all, I do really like the controller. It's built well, I love how it feels, and it's features are great and like nothing else. I want to love it. But I'm disappointed. I love the GameCube controller design, and I was hoping I could use the BattlerGC in Dolphin for GameCube titles and as an all-purpose PC game controller. For me, GameCube connectivity was more or less just a bonus. However, it seems its priorities are the opposite of mine. Its GameCube connectivity is great, it rocks in that mode. It can work with GameCube games in Dolphin well too, but it requires a lot of effort to achieve it. But as a general purpose PC controller for playing PC games, it's a huge disappointment. Right now, none of its unique features are available in PC games, and all it can really do is pretend to be a 360 controller. One with a right stick that's off because it's hall-effect and it can't be calibrated easily. And that's really sad.
I'm holding out hope for some firmware updates to let this controller shine on PC. It has SO much potential!
Can Battalion Wars be run at 60 fps in Dolphin? I saw one YouTube video that had it running at 60, but wasn't able to figure out how it was done.
I just installed the wii menu on dolphin, and i want to delete all the channels except for the Disk and Mii channel. They don't show up in the wii data management settings, what do i do? Can i uninstall these without homebrew?
Hi!
A few days ago, I tried to connect my Wii remotes to Dolphin, but only one managed to do it. I don't have a Bluetooth adapter, so I emulate it using dolphin. When I open Bluetooth settings on windows, the non-TR controller is seen as a keyboard/mouse, and the TR one as a controller, but the second one stays connect for just one second.
Do you have any idea if it is possible to solve this problem without buying a Bluetooth adapter?
