Why does it do this?!?!
I’ve been playing fire emblem path of radiance on dolphin on my Anbernic handheld and it’s going great until one level where the screen won’t stop flickering in and out. Everything else with the game has been fine. Any recommendations or help would be appreciated!

Hello, I want to change my old laptop and one of my criteria is playing GameCube/Wii at 4k 60fps.
What laptop could I use for this? ~1200$ maximum price, 1000$ would be perfect.
Thanks!
Not sure if many could help me but I wanted to retexture and re-model some things in DKCR for a theme, like giving DK a hat or maybe changing some text and whatnot. i started with wanting to give DK a hat so I downloaded Brawl Crate and went to the filesystem tab in the properties to "extract entire disk" into a folder. but I couldn't find any model files or much of anything for that matter. it was mostly world and level data, the movies, languages, and boss AI but that was about it, I'm not sure where to go from here
so, I've been having this problem with the wimote pointer, I know it is because I am using an xbox360 controller instead of a wimote
I don't have a wimote, I try out what the few tutorials I found on how to adapt the motion sensor to a joystick but none of them have worked, does anyone have any idea how to fix this or at least if it is possible or not?
Or maybe a way to use the mouse instead
dose anyone know why dolphin emulator is not detecting my keyboard on Linux?
Me and a friend are trying to play Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and the error code says that communication with the host isn't possible, please help.
So i installed the update that lets you use the wii menu but now whenever i save sate the load state button is greyed out can someone help?
I've been stuck on some things. First, the Everybody Votes Channel ain't working for me. Second, i really don't know what games to add (in terms of VC and WiiWare) and third, I don't know how to play online here.
For the Everybody Votes Channel, i use WiiLink24. For the second one, I only want recommendations, no links to websites where I could get them from. I know where I can get them from already and I won't share it. And for the third one, I use my own NAND backup, and I'm actually not afraid to format if needed. I have backups of everything already for that.
Could someone help me with these problems? If you do, thank you a lot!
My pc is glitched out and I am going to get it repaired Tomorrow and in order for it to be repaired it needs to be factory resetted,so will I be able to save my progress on paper mario ttyd and continue when I reinstall dolphin and the ROM and if so, how ?
Tried on different networks too, literally any build for any platform gives me this. Updating through the built-in option on the emulator itself gives out an error, so that's why I was trying through the website in the first place. I guess I could try to build it myself, but this machine runs windows, so it's annoying.
Hi there, I'm trying to play Eternal Darkness on the latest version of Dolphin but no matter what I seem to try, the game is just stuck on a black screen and won't even go to an intro or anything.
I am using the latest dev version (2409-254) on a Windows 10 PC with an i7-6700k and a GTX 1080. Pretty much every other game I play works fine without having to fiddle around with the options; this is the only game I'm having issues with.
I've tried disabling dual core, changing video backends, I even tried different ISOs and everytime I keep getting a black screen that never goes anywhere and unfortunately trying to research this online provides hardly any useful results (the wiki doesn't even list any options that might help)
Any specific settings I should try to get this to work? I really want to play this for Halloween so any help would be really appreciated.
I have the wii u original adapter and use wii u gamecube gcn USB adapter app. When use my adapter on the switch it works perfectly fine but when i plug on the pc the analog just barely goes right at all. I cant run nor dodge to the right. I tried it on dolphin, yuzu and even rivals of aether 2 and the issue is the same in all these games so it must be the adapter's fault, I just cant seem to find it. Any help?
I apologize in advance if this is an old question, I'm just stumped about something that's honestly fairly unimportant anyway. I would ideally like to boot games from each emulated system's main menu, which I can absolutely already do. However... booting a game from either system's main menu seems to ignore all special properties assigned to the game through Dolphin, such as game-specific graphics settings. I'm assuming this is happening because, to some degree, Dolphin doesn't really think I booted the game, it's only really focused on the fact that I launched a console's system menu. Given that most games need at least a couple specific tweaks to look and play their best, this stops me from ever launching from the system main menus.
All said, is there a known way to force Dolphin to apply game-specific properties when launching a game from either the GCN or Wii system menu?
Thanks in advance, and a nice clean "no that isn't possible, shuttup" is fine too, I'm just curious!
EDIT: I completely forgot Dolphin is available on different platforms, I'm on PC.
Recently been wanting to start emulating Wii games on Dolphin and was wondering if I still need a bluetooth adaptor/some other kind of device despite my motherboard having bluetooth in order to get my Wii remote to work on PC, I saw some guides that say I do but saw that they were also listed as outdated.
Hey just wondering, is there a way to easily invert controls on twilight princess?
I am currently playing the game for the first time and am finding the camera controls to be kinda whack.
Was there any way to fix this this? I am using the US version of the game
Don't get me wrong - I have had a great experience with the Dolphin Emulator and throughout my time using it I have been able to play any game I want pretty much flawlessly! And if I encountered issues which was rare, I simply looked the game up on the Dolphin Wiki and adjusted settings accordingly to make the games I want to play work without issues. Well, that is until I came across the game SSX Tricky (2001)... This game has been, well, "tricky" to say the least when it comes to the set up process. It was also difficult for me to find updated information regarding how to make it playable in 2024 on Dolphin through research on forums, reddit, etc.
So far I have encountered issues when it comes to saving to my GC folder, Dolphin crashing upon loading the game up, and the rare occasion when I have been able to boot it up, I encountered massive lag that glitched my character on the edge of a mountain where I was unable to finish a race...
Here are list of fixes I have found through research, yet none are completely bullet proof:
Is there any fix that I may be missing? I still cannot figure out how to save this game properly... does it just work on save states?
Hey all! I can post my specs later if anyone would have some advice. A little new to emulation and PC gaming in general.
My laptop isn't high end. I have a MacBook that's a few years old, that I bootcamp into windows. It is NOT made for gaming.
That said, I can still run some high performance games with no issue, like BioShock, Fallout NV, or Oblivion. I run these games with mods, they're higher quality then they were on console, with barely any lag.
But when I try to play any game on dolphin with the lowest possible settings it still has significant lag issues. Are GameCube games just that intense compared to games made to be ported to Steam?
I'm genuinely curious and would love to get a clearer idea of what might be causing it. Main menus have no issue, or sections where there is little on screen. I have pretty significant pop in though, things don't render, or when they do the game drops to 5 FPS until everything is done loading in.
I've already tried tons of differents emulators, but Dolphin it's the only emulator that I've been suffering with stuttering games, even on Gamecube ones. I've already read tons of articles to solve this issue, but I still get stutturing in some games like Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Sunshine, etc. So what's the best performance options to solve that? Because on 3ds and wii u emulators I got better performance. My specifications of my laptop are:
CPU: Intel Core i5-10210U GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 620 RAM: 8 GB DDR4 2666MHZ SSD: 512gb nVme SO: Arch Linux 6.10.10
Hello I want to get mods on Mac like example this "better sonic adventure 2" that only has sonic and shadow but anyways please help and thank you very much.
Hi guys so recently I was playing some Wii games on my RP4P and I can't get the Wii Balance Board controller to be connected if anyone tried to connected their Balance board to the Dolphin Bar on the Dolphin emulator?
I really wanted to play Dreamworks Super Star Kart, but the game doesn't work normally and I went looking for a configuration and ended up not finding any for the Android version, can anyone tell me if there is one? The version downloaded on my cell phone is the latest from Dolphin
is there a way to have different controls in different game for example I want different controls in smash compared to Mario kart this might be a stupid question I am new to this whole emulating game scene
Hi,
I recently put my XBox Series S into Dev mode and installed the pre 1.1.18 UWP version of Dolphin onto it.
I am getting as lot of stuttering in certain games, mostly 1080 Avalanche and Luigi's Mansion, but games like Billy Hatcher run flawlessly.
I followed the guide on Archades games to set it up e.g. shaders etc. I am using RVZ files.
Can anybody give me some pointers as to what it may be?
Thanks!
Full disclosure: I don't have Dolphin installed on my current computer, nor do I have my Wii hooked up right now, so these are just a few questions of curiosity.
WiiWare Instruction Manuals were not stored the same way as Virtual Console games, where the manual was included with the downloaded game. With WiiWare games, when you pressed the Home button on your Wii Remote and navigated to the Instruction Manual while playing the game, you were taken to what appeared to be a webpage hosted somewhere else, so I had a few questions:
Thanks.
Every projectile has a strange grated texture and Mob-Spawner textures are sliding off their mesh
Howdy folks, I've been enjoying Gauntlet: Dark Legacy recently but I encountered a bug I needed to use an AR code for (access to the 11th inventory slot)
I used a guide to get the AR code working (completely new to emulating & cheats) and I played with the free-camera a little bit before turning it off.
Now I've been encountering a strange visual bug:
Two levels in it though have a graphical error that gets increasingly worse the further I progress:
- Nightmare, in the Dreamworld Realm
- The Underworld (shown in the screenshot)
Behold my end level score-screen
I have no idea what's causing this, though I suspect it was touching the camera.
How do I reset this completely? (Simply turning it off might not have been wise)
