My sister’s dog, has been battling cancer. After a long arduous battle. She felt it was time. The vet gave her a high dose of opiate pain medicine and my sister asked me to accompany her on one final walk, at her favorite park and a beautiful day of being spoiled with all the treats. Including 2 in n out “no salt” hamburger patties 😆
It was beautiful. My service dog Kaia came into my world through a program when she was a puppy I got to meet her. At 1 and a half years old she was fully placed with me. She grew up with her cousin. Very close. I saw the concern and love in her final walk and day spent with her.
Dogs just know. They just do. Truly a gift.
Murphy was calm, chill and loving. He did his job without fail. He never wavered, he was a good boy. He passed away at 11 from cancer.
Just want to share about having a sd for narcolepsy
Introducing Hugo, my dependable service dog who's got my back when it comes to sniffing out sleep attacks. He's trained to sense them based on my scent, giving me a gentle tap and guiding me to a safe spot to rest. It was quite the journey to get him, with two years on a waiting list and a year of training from Guardian Angels Service Dogs.
Sharing this post to shed light on the importance of service dogs for less common conditions. If you have narcolepsy and considering a service dog, feel free to reach out.
K-9 Leo trained right here in Ocala, Florida. He was trained to fight crime, to help those in need, and to protect his handler.....at all cost. Saturday, Leo did just that. He fearlessly charged toward someone who was threatening my deputies with a gun. Unfortunately, during the confrontation, the suspect was able to shoot Leo before my deputies returned fire, killing the suspect. Leo gave his best in that moment to protect those deputies.
He even fell asleep shortly after, I am so proud of him!!!
