Yesterday I bought my first S.H.Figuarts 'nd it's Super Hero Goku! I'm pretty excited 'nd I would like to start taking pictures but I can't think of locations/dio (no experience whatsoever 'bout building dio) to do it. Any ideas fellas?
This seems to be the cheapest foam to buy in the UK, it is any use for a diorama?
Long time lurker, first time poster. I want to start building my own stuff, but most tutorials and such are US or Canada based, so I was wondering if there are any UK based folks able to suggest the kinds of places I can get foam board that's equivalent to what US/Canadian builders use.
Thanks in advance.
Has anyone compiled a list of standard 1:12 sizes? Doors, windows, brick, cinder block, etc? I'm just starting working on my very first diorama and this seems to me like one of the most helpful items a noob could have in their arsenal.
I recently acquired most of the BSG action figures by Diamond Select. And I'm looking for guidance as to where I can go to commission a diorama to be made. Can anyone recommend some custom builders? I am, by any definition of the word, no artist.
Do you guys buy anything, or do you make it all yourself?
I ask because my wife has been honing her sculpey skills making miniature everything for her dollhouse, and she's pretty damn good at it. She also works with clay (ceramics) professionally. I've brought up the idea of making some 1:12 or 1:6 scale things to put on eBay or Etsy for the action figure/diorama crowd, and she's down, but the biggest problem we have is knowing what in the world she should make.
I think it would be hard to start with direct commissions, since we don't have any examples of her work. So, I'm putting it to the community: what sort of things would you buy from, say, an Etsy store? (And in your opinion, what would be a fair price for it?)
I am planning to make a set for a stop motion animation, and have been struggling to find good tutorials to help me on my way. I figured a diorama subreddit like this one might be able to offer some help. Does anyone have any good tips or pointers for constructing a good looking scifi styled set?
Heck, even just a tutorial link or two to get me started would be appreciated. I'm new at this.
Hey so for the past couple weeks i have been requesting to join the Diostructure facebook community but it just stays pending for days and then goes back to the "press here to join" button. Is there something I'm missing? Am i constantly being denied?
I hope this post is okay to put here. Anyway, I was looking around for some sort of material I can shape, or pour into a mold to make a perfect semi-circle sphere. I want to put a figure inside of it and paint it translucent green so the figure can be seen through. Does anything like this exist? I've seen people on a tv show use vaccuform plastic which would be perfect, but I have nowhere and no idea where I'd get that done.
