Hi there! I hope question like this are allowed. I have been wanting to try digital art but i don't want to spend a bunch of money on specialized equipment before I know it's something I like so I was wondering what people think is the best general use tablet (like iPads and stuff) for drawing? Since it's a more justifiable purchase then haha
I don't know if I could call myself a beginner artist since I've been drawing for years but I pretty much consider myself a rookie artist. I don't really know how to render and when I try to it just doesn't end up looking good or the way I want it to look lol
So I'd like to know some tips that might be useful! Maybe even recommendations of good videos about rendering, either way, any help is very appreciated! :)
what do you guys think of this? and be honest, everytime i have posted this online i get no engagement, so maybe its bad?
Ive been practicing lately and had an idea for a piece but anime noses (the triangle variants), how would you approach noses on such designs?
small project of mine, need some help, cant pay
but if someone can help me out, replyyyyyyy
can anyone help me identify the brush used in this line art? I'm new to CSP and trying to find the right brush. Thanks!
This is the first concept painting for a new world building/writing concept I got the idea for, the basic premise is pretty simple.
In a world dominated by eternal sandstorms and ever changing landscapes, people live divided into fairly small oasis tribes, these people all have similar but distinct cultures and beliefs that intermingle through their interactions facilitated by “the stable currents, patches of desert that although still shifting, do so in a predictable and consistent manner. With the additional help of a sacred beast known as Sand Bulls in the common language known as Desert Tongue created and spread by travellers, trade and community is made possible. These paths and oasis aren’t quite safe however as all manner of dangerous creatures exist as well as mystical people know as Storm-Striders who possess unnatural powers and are the subject of many myths and legends often appear, whether friend or foe however is unknown.
That’s a very brief overview of it, I didn’t include a lot of things such as Sand Surfers, people who explore the un-chartable shifting sands beyond the stable currents, nor shimmerite crystals, the core “magic” or power system which is considered sacred and used to power the technology of the world. But I think it’s good enough for this as the main focus is the art, just wanted to share the context behind it.
Hey everyone, I'm looking to dive into digital art for the first time and need some advice on choosing the right tablet. I'm torn between two models and would greatly appreciate any recommendations or insights on which one might be better. Thanks in advance!
I love art and i have huge ambitions towards my dream where i want my art to be in a video game also be as skilled as the artists i aspire.
The only problem which i had a hard time finding people who relate when i googled it.
I feel like as if i reached a plateau or lets say a limit where i cant go above it or improve anymore.
I remember when i read a saying "practice makes permanent" made me paralyzed and paniced because i was like oh i wasted 10 years of my life just because maybe i practiced wrong?
When that happened... I got scared to draw and lost almost all my motivation to draw because I believed that im stagnanted forever.
I believed that no matter what will i do i wont improve and i liked that to maybe my lack of intelligence...
I dont know how to get out of this rut. I want to improve i really like the feeling of hard work paying off but in the end if i cant improve then why should i draw? And even if i do, am i going in the right direction...
Art is so scary u dont know if ur doing things right or wrong because it only shows later....
I dont know what to do anymore
I just got into drawing recently and I am using krita to draw, I am trying to get a simple cartoony/anime art style similar to avatar, but I don't know where to start, should I practice using other artstyles first with simple characters and stuff or just start right away with what I am looking for? And I would appreciate some advice 🙏🏻
