Hi there, basically the title. I want suggestions for the course it could be any field personally looking for a cybersecurity or a devops course but a good value course for placements (DSA,dev) which is nicely organised will also help. Any certification courses suggestions are also welcomed. I'm an undergrad.
Hi as the title suggest I've fucked up and didn't my college life seriously. I've a decent job offers but these companies don't offer internships. Im in my final year of engineering, i need help in getting internships before like jan. Is this a feasible time, im aware I won't finding the best one out there but to find anything decent is possible? If I wanna intern in filed like data science what are options realistically. Im smart and I'll catch on but I've just not put in the work and have been dealing w low self esteem due to these rejections. Thanks for reading.
Hello Members,
If you recently learnt docker, I am organizing a free docker workshop. I will give insights on how containerization works in companies and is suitable for everyone. You need to have some basic docker knowledge and basic knowledge on how to write a Dockerfile. Also some Git knowledge is needed.
You will work on some real problems in this workshop. These are:
Containerizing an old legacy application.
Optimize this docker image and make it production ready.
Understand what is continuous integration is and automate the process of creating and publishing docker image to an image repository.
Solve a problem where data is not getting persisted in a container after restart.
Setup a micro-services application with 10 different services and deploy it locally within docker.
This workshop will start morning 10 AM and end 6:30 PM. Its long and you will gain a lot of learnings out of it. You can fill out this google form to enroll: https://forms.gle/RxcgR564E2V5Usz16
there're so many different AI magic tools that claim to automate everything in your life, but so few of them actually work. CAN you recommend any?
It's a QR based virtual queue management app for business and shops where the business owner will get their store registered and be given a QR, while the customer scan the QR will generate a FIFO queue Token.
The customer will be intimated in advance when they're next so that they can come at that time to the shop without wasting much time waiting there in a long queue.
I thought why not give it a try, while we save time by quick commerce and food delivery, It's still bothersome to wait long queues in hospital counters, salons, etc.,
Share your thoughts on the startup and any ideas that i can experiment and expand
which backend language is best fully api related project
I’m a college student currently in my third year of cs. I’ve learnt mern and I’ve made a few projects and done an internship too. Now I feel lost because I don’t know which direction to take from here. I know what databases, servers, rest apis, caching, etc are. It’s starting to feel like I know everything at this point xD (just a joke, no narcissism). But I want to learn more as I don’t want to waste my college time and so I’m looking for advice on concepts to learn that will make me a good engineer in the long run.
Stuff I know at the moment: Python: Django, tensorflow, flask Javascript/typescript: node, express, react (little bit) Databases: mongo, sql, postgresql C#: unity C++: OpenGL, SFML
Hi everyone. I hope you're excelling in your career and doing what you love. If not, I truly wish you find the perfect opportunity soon. I earnestly require your valuable and esteemed inputs on this.
I'm a Cyber Security Consultant with 2.5 YoE. Have worked in VMDR for 1 year and VAPT for 1.5 years. Looking for Cyber Security domains that are less hectic and also have a great pay. One that offers a remote job preferably and doesn’t require much coding. (I do write scripts at the current job but hate source code reviews).
The only domains that I could find that meet this criteria in the Cyber Security domain are
Technical Pre-Sales (The remote job criteria rules this out but the pay is extravagant compared to any other role I’ve seen)
Threat Hunter / Operations / Intelligence – Haven’t seen much openings in India. This also requires lot years of experience
Security Audit
Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC)
I’m inclined towards GRC. Is it the best option right now assessing the current Indian market?
Would it be wise in the long run to switch to GRC right now? I’m of the opinion that AI Risk and Compliance might become a big thing in the future.
From what I’ve seen the compensation in GRC is lesser compared to VAPT, at least in India.
I’ve never heard of anyone switching from VAPT to GRC but I’ve heard a lot of cases, the other way around.
Are there any other domains apart from these that meet the criteria?
Kindly provide your esteemed inputs and advice seasoned and experienced Cyber Security professionals.
I apologize in advance if anything I’ve written comes across as naive, as I have only 2.5 years of experience in the field. Also please pardon any mistakes or oversights in my writing.
Whenever i open developer india people are always on extremes....some are working in big tech companies making big bucks but are compaining how they have to work a lot even extra time mostly in return of that amount of money......while some are like they work in big companies have very minimal work and are also earning big bucks.....seems like people are always on extremes....some say tech is doomed while some say they have multiple job offers..........people really working in tech with high packages can you tell how does it really feel like working in corporate
They asked me to fill a form asking my availability and basic details. Will there be an interview, any tips regarding what comes next? I really need this internship any help is appreciated.
I’ve been trying to find internships in cloud engineering or machine learning, but it feels like there’s nothing out there for freshers. Almost everything I come across is for frontend, backend, or full-stack development. Do companies usually expect you to have prior experience even for internships in these fields?
I am a 2nd year B-tech student and I want to get an internship for learning on the side and making some extra cash. I've been applying for MERN stack internships on sites like naukri, indeed, internshala, glassdoor and I mostly get ghosted or get some assignment to solve. Its just frustrating.
I don't know in what areas I should upskill and get better at it.
Please review my work, all kind of criticism and feedback is appreciated.

Hello! I am from 2024 batch and recently got a selection mail from a service based company (HCL) for GET position (4.25 lpa) and along with it I also got selected in TCS ninja role (3.25 lpa) both oncampus. But haven't got joining yet from either of them yet.
In July I started working at a hyd based startup ( applied off-campus) with a stipend of 12k for 6 months which would continue till December and then my offer might get converted to full-time with compensation of 25k in hand.
Now the dilemma is should I continue at this start-up or should join HCl or TCS when joining comes? I am so confused right now.
Few points to consider - My learning and growth at this startup has been insane. My tech is Angular right now and soon I'll get to work with node.js. I've learnt everything from scratch here and my manager has been very supportive throughout the journey. Personally, I want to focus improving my skills so that in future I can move to PBCs smoothly.
I've heard not so positive reviews about the above companies for freshers hence I'm not sure which path should I take. Please enlighten me with your views.
Thanks in advance
We've built the world's first open source testing agent and wanted to push the boundary based on customer feedback; so we added security testing skills to the agent.
Now it can perform security scans across 15 benchmarks, under the cost of a coffee :).
Would love to know of the communities thoughts on it. ☺️
Hello everyone!
I’m currently working on a project called Fastre, a lightweight, fast runtime engine designed for efficient server-side rendering and dynamic content handling. It uses HTML-like templating and supports tags like <request>
for templating, and much more.
Some of the features include:
if
statements) and loopsThe syntax is basically just HTML, but with a PHP-like file system for routing and file serving. Fastre is essentially a middle-end language that integrates HTML with APIs to make server-side rendering more efficient. It’s a new approach to handling dynamic content with flexibility, but it’s been getting heavier as I continue developing it.
I’ve been working on this project for the past 7 months, and while it’s been an exciting journey, it’s starting to get a bit overwhelming. So, I’m reaching out to see if anyone here would be interested in collaborating on this project!
I’d love to have some developer friends onboard to help out and push this forward.
I tried searching in this subreddit but most of recommendations are above 5k.
I have recieved an offer from Odoo, it says CTC will be in range of 5-8LPA and there will be a bond of 7.5 lakh, and the cheque would be taken from me on the first day of internship. Anyone who works at odoo, have you any idea that bond will start before or after internship? I asked HR she told before but in offer letter it's written "after completion if candidate takes the offer then they will get rest of the stipend"
Edit: 2 years bond
First please don't Judge. This is oncampus placements and I will still apply to 2x CTC offers In case I don't get anything else then this will be my backup
I have a offer from
-> with very slim chances to upgrade to digital(take it as a fact).I got downgraded from digital. And for freshers digital and prime offers are half of last time. Many people with extremely good profile rejected by TCS. 2) COGNIZANT genc: 4 LPA, No bond, No upgrade
I don't have any academic work from 11th December. I will be free next 6 months
Please share any tips if possible to upskill af
I recently got chance to interviewed with Cars24 and got the only offer from product based organisation. The role is Java developer for Gurugram location and they’re offering 28 lpa fixed. I have total 4 yrs of experience and current ctc is 15 lpa. Want to the work life balance, work ethics, learning opportunities.
Hey Devs,
Can anyone of you please help me to find the API which is used to render the content of below page
https://in.bookmyshow.com/events/toxic-abhishek-upmanyu-live/ET00409716
I also don't see any nuxt / next object in the console using which I can convert the SSR render to CSR and get API details.
If anyone can please help would be highly obliged.
Thanks in advance.
If not heard of, I'm taking about the attached screenshot which became viral in reddit community
My friend wanted to post here but didn't have enough karma. Here's the text:
I'm an undergraduate just completed my 7th semester from an average IIIT, today I got an offer of 5 LPA from a company for the hardware role, it has good work culture and growth environment and its work location is Chennai which is far from my native.
My current cpga is almost 9 out of 10 and I have decent knowledge also interest to work in hardware role but I'm a fresher and don't have any experience in hardware or any other role.
In the dileme to take it or reject the offer.
My reason for dilema: The number of companies coming to my college for the drive on hardware are very few. So I'm not sure how many will come in the last semester that are of hardware role (which I'm interested in) and my current state of mind is that 5 LPA is not good enough considering the amount of effort and time I put in so I'm almost at the edge of thought to reject the offer.
Is 5LPA really a decent offer for hardware? Help me avoid making a bad decision.
Thankyou.

For more information: The alternate path if he doesn't take the offer is, he'll try for placements on campus, but the chances of getting it are small. Meanwhile he'll be preparing for GATE. If he doesn't get a placement he'll try for gate this year and if he doesn't get a good college, he'll try the next year too. He doesn't particularly have a passion for studying more, he thinks of it as just another path to a good paying job.
He's mostly concerned about the package. He thinks its too low for all the hardwork he's done. He fears what his parents, our classmates, etc will think. The concern may be valid because if he takes the offer he'll be placed with lowest package on campus. But may be it's not valid because more than 70% in the college are not placed, he should just take whatever he gets.
The argument for taking the offer is that he hopes after getting some experience it'll be easier to make his way into a better, higher paying job.
TLDR: Campus placement, got a 5lpa hardware job. Good work culture, he likes hardware, very low placements on campus, 5lpa too low. Cannot make a decision. He'll have to accept or reject the offer today at 11:00 AM
Note: if this is not the correct flair, or if I broke any community rules, please hold removing the post to atleast afternoon today. Hearing the thoughts of someone other than us is important for us.
I am looking forward to working with someone for the next few months on their open source project online . I am looking for someone who is good at development and looking forward to share their knowledge whilst working on a project together. Preferred technologies - Go, ReactJS, Typescript , gRPC . I can work for 6hours a day.
