Hello, I wanted to share something that happened recently at my church. Today we're going to have a Christmas musical, and I, as a musician, didn't have to sign up. However, my parents signed up quickly, and soon the complaints started because the spots were sold out.
In the church's Instagram post about the musical, I casually commented that because I was one of the musicians, I wouldn't need to sign up. Surprisingly, someone responded by calling my comment "unnecessary." My mom saw it and asked me to delete it.
What bothered me the most was seeing so many complaints and discontent in the post. Church is a place to connect with God, but it seems that many people are focused only on the event, forgetting the true purpose.
The church will stream the musical live on YouTube, providing an opportunity for everyone to follow along, even if they weren't able to attend in person. It's sad to see the lack of maturity and understanding, especially when the goal should be the spiritual quest.
I want to remind everyone that the connection with God is what matters, more than specific events. In the midst of the complaints, I feel the need to share this reflection. Let's focus on the spiritual essence and try to maintain harmony, even in the face of limitations.
It worries me that some seem more interested in the event than in strengthening their relationship with God. Let's seek spiritual maturity and try to save together. These moments make us reflect on what really matters. The purpose goes beyond a Christmas musical; It is a spiritual journey that we must embrace together.
