I got through it but it was unexpected and sketchy AF.
Just bought my first bike and I’m going to be moving back to CO in December. Which com system is most common in the Denver/FoCo area?
Just picked up a nc750x and stripped the screw installing (attempting anyway)hand guards.
Figured I'd reach out to reddit fam before heading to the shop. Name your price.
So I've seen a couple news snippets on channels here in Colorado that talk about lane filtering and I wanted to share how frustrating and scary it is they are misinforming the public what is and is not permissible.
For example, a recent one had a news caster saying motorcycles can only pass on the left and it can only happen at stop lights.
This is wicked dangerous because it misinforms car drivers who then vigilante the situation. At least once a week someone tries to actually hit me while legally filtering.
Just frustrated.
Thoughts?
Edit: Getting a lot of people saying you can't pass on the right. The department and news stations are saying you can't pass on the right. None of them are talking about how you can if you are on a limited Access highway and it is not the breakdown lane. Off the top of my head, the definition of limited access highway tells me a significant number of our roads allow passing on the right.

Looking to ride the Snowy Range up in Med Bow before 130 closes for the season. Most likely Saturday.
Bringing stuff for a little cook fire mid-afternoon at one of the picnic sites up on top before heading back down.
Witnessed a motorcycle crash and immediately ran to do 1st response, kid just be patient in traffic and don't do dumb things, also wear gear if not for his helmet his neck would be broken instead he just broke his arm and ankle.
That being said. Can yall believe this weather? I've hit deer creek canyon every day this week.
First time buyer looking at a Honda CRF300L Rally with ABS.
I’m guessing that on an entry level bike like this, the price is the basically the same regardless of dealer you buy it from.
Does the dealer even matter? Anyone have a recommendation for Denver area Honda dealer?
Did a rip up coal creek canyon yesterday and had a fun ride along with a stranger all the way from 6th Ave and Wads to the top of the canyon. Pretty funny coincidence that we were both going the same way that far.
(Also found out that a triumph 1200 doesn't hold it's own against the little 821ugly Duc either.)
Pretty sure he was gone. People were standing by him, but no one bothered to render aid.
Westbound I-70 at the Havana off ramp. Bike was balled up and he was laying next to an earthmover. Looks like he may have misjudged the ramp, exited the road, and struck the bulldozer at speed. Can’t find any news about it.
So it's about time that our little subreddit finally get some extra eyes, ears, and thumbs to keep this group going. It's grown some much in the last year, and even with more auto moderation coming soon I could definitely use the help. Honestly all of you are very well behaved (Wich I'm pretty surprised from bikers) and want the best for everyone, watching our community flourish, and been touched how supportive everyone has been to each other.
If you are interested DM (won't respond for a few days, currently traveling nonstop in Japan) but will read messages and get back to you.
Ps. The last year especially that last 6 months since becoming the moderator hs been the best and befriending time in my adult life. I love you all and couldn't imagine or want it any other way!
i just got a honda navi (mini moto top speed is 60mph) and i don’t have any friends. if you’d ever like to ride around together or hang out let me know :) i have pics of me in my profile and i live in denver cherry creek/glendale area. im 22 and i would love it if someone would teach me how to shift gears on their bike 🫶🏽 (mine is gearless, automatic)
Hey y’all I have been doing research on bikes and MSF courses in the area and tbh it seems terrifying to ride out here. I feel like I see news articles everyday about fatal motorcycle accidents. I’m genuinely curious how it is to ride on our roads for those of you that ride frequently. Whether it is daily or just a couple days out of the week, how many times would you say you encounter aggressive drivers or people not paying attention in the metro area? I feel like I see or experience this every time I’m driving in my car so just wondering if this happens more or less on bikes. Hopefully this post doesn’t come off as annoying, I am just hoping to hear personal experiences with riding out here.
Edit: thanks everyone for the advice! I am a little late getting back to this post but I really appreciate it. Everything has been duly noted. Ride safe everyone! ❤️
My Kawasaki Z900 - 50th Anniversary Edition got stolen out of my apartment parking garage in cap hill sometime between 8:00pm Thursday (Oct 2nd) and 7:30am Friday (Oct 3rd). It has a Chinese knockoff SC Project slip-on, tail tidy, and bar ends mirrors.
If anyone sees it please let me know.

I know this is highly relative to some of you degenerates out riding in subzero weather, but for the majority of y’all when do you go into motorcycle hibernation?
A nearly new Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro is about the same as a nearly new Ducati Multistrada V4s.
I enjoy occasionally going off-road in my Tiger 800, but I don't do the hard single track or more challenging trails like I used to. I'm getting older and I don't have riding buddies for those days. I've nearly gotten stranded a few times in the middle of nowhere.
Anyway, I am thinking of upgrading my old trusty ride to something newer but I honestly can't decide. I really love the Triple engine, but that V4 sings. The Tiger is substantially better off-road, but it's still heavy and not actually much lighter than a Multi. I mostly do long road rides these days but I also spent 9 hours on dirt last weekend so I'm torn.
Has anyone here in Colorado owned both and can give me some insight?
Bike night tomorrow at 14er brewing at 6pm!
