A subreddit to discuss politics and news with a special emphasis on politicians who are women, people of color, LGBTQ, or other historically marginalized groups.
This is a community for, and about, Democrats. The purpose of this community is to elevate voices of those who have been ignored and excluded from the political process. Although discussions about any issues pertaining to Democrats, electing Democrats and other national or current events are allowed in this sub, our primary emphasis is on women, people of color, LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, and other groups that are historically discriminated against, alongside allies. We are an inclusive sub and our ultimate goal is to use our trifecta to improve the lives of Americans and indeed all people in the world.
Rules:
- No racism, sexism or other bigotry. No, but we actually mean it and enforce this rule!
- No trolling or brigading.
- No tagging or pinging users from other subs to engage in drama or slapfights.
- No spam, advertising, illegal content or unspoilered NSFW content.
- No insulting or threatening behavior including name calling.
- No bad faith attacks on users or Democrats.
- No excessive, repetitive, patterned criticisms on Democrats. Users who exhibit constant criticisms of a particular targeted Democrat will immediately be asked to stop. Reasonable debate is allowed and encouraged.
- No toxicity, drama, harassment or lack of empathy.
- Do not link to right wing sources and moderators reserve the right to remove attacks on democratic politicians that are based on right wing talking points.
- Please be mindful of other users identities and experiences in your interactions in this sub. This sub was founded on the idea of welcoming different perspectives from all Democrats. Also, please use the downvote button sparingly. It is not a ‘dislike’ button and should be reserved for comments that violate sub rules.
