How come the malls are so slow this Christmas ?

I went Christmas shopping in king of Prussia mall yesterday and Christiana today and it was so quiet compared to how it was last year . I spoke to some employees in Macys and they said it’s very slow. Is it because of economy or online shopping

Delaware drinking water

I’ve heard that Delaware’s water is one of the worst in the country. Is this true and if so what are some good brands that filter water pretty well. Not really looking for any water installation filter but something I can use in addition to my fridge water filter!

We were able to purchase 15 yard signs with our lost dogs poster on them, we're making a plan on the best places to stake them. We'll take any suggestions you guys have on the best intersections to leave them at.

He went missing out of newark on 12/5, but might be on the train tracks and could be anywhere in like a 30 mile radius. We need to make a list of the best intersections with the most traffic so our signs can reach as many people as possible.

Preferably places where people are stopped so they may take a picture of the sign, but we'll take any suggestions you guys have in delaware or surrounding states.

Bridgeville Shooting Range Question

Straight and to the point, do any members remember the width home made target stands need to be to drop in the pvc holders on the 100/200/300 range? I can't find that crap anywhere on their website.

Flashing Lights in Forest?

Are we going to pretend that no one just saw that video that was JUST POSTED of the flashing lights in the middle of a forest in DE? Does anyone know anymore on this?

I’ve been looking outside my window every night with the anticipation of seeing something fun! We’re in Trolley Sq and haven’t seen anything too odd, other than the occasional drunk stumbling into Delaware Ave

Edit: found post to r/ufos

Strange knock on my door

So back on 12/2 this guy knocked on my door with what appears to be a state of Delaware binder. He was driving an Accord with completely blacked out windows and the car had no identifying markings.

No cars were in the driveway and it would have looked like no one was home. Since then, I’ve seen his car pull up twice outside my house, stop for a minute, then turn around in my neighbors driveway and leave. Both of the times he was here and did not knock, there was a car in the driveway and would have made it look like people were home.

Maybe I’m paranoid but that’s super strange behavior. Anyone seen someone like this or a that binder and have any idea who they are/what they want/what they’re doing?

Does the DMV print out your license immediately?

I'm transferring my license from another state right now and my girlfriend's whole family swears that Delaware prints out your license on the spot. But the other three states I've had licenses in they gave you a temporary one and sent you your actual license in the mail a week or two later. I'm doubtful that it's on the spot and I know I need my current ID for certain purchases. So I just want to make sure that I'm not going to leave the DMV with a temporary paper license rather than a verifiable one.

Is it normal for the army to fly all day in Delaware?

We just moved here from the Midwest not too long ago. I’ve been looking at the flight radar app off and on all day and noticed the army has been flying their helicopters over the state pretty much all day long. Is this normal routine practice over here? I know there’s an Air Force base in Dover, but this is the army, not Air Force.

Political/Election signs & flags on residential property

Can someone point me to DE/Sussex Co. code that details the regulations for political/election signs on residential property. TIA

Update: So here is the full picture and my take. It is in regard to a political sign on a residential property. When a property is purchased the purchaser agrees to the ratified covenants of the community. The community may have no specific rule in the covenants, which would default to article 1., or may defer to local or state code. I think that's right.

Bethany in the winter

Hi everyone!

My dad just moved to Bethany in the fall. I was planning on visiting for Christmas. Is there anything to do with a toddler next weekend in the winter? Around Bethany and surrounding areas- play places, parks, libraries, restaurants?

Has anyone noticed this?

I’m seeing a marked uptick in MAGA convoys in my area this week (Brandywine Hundred) with huge flags and to be honest I’m scared and angry.

Where’s the best drive through light display between Rehoboth and Lancaster?

Not specifically looking for individual houses but full drive through displays.

Been to the one in Lancaster a few years back and it was fun. I heard about one in Dover I haven’t seen yet.

Looking for suggestions. Thanks and happy holidays!

Pregnant girlfriend was laid off

My girlfriend is 5mo pregnant and was just unexpectedly laid off so we’re scrambling. She’s worried that she won’t be able to find a job at her current state and that she won’t be able to continue seeing her same doctor as we have many appointments coming up…

Any suggestions/recommendations for being able to get quick coverage through Medicaid/CHIP? She is going to look into COBRA as well.
