Where do I go to get decent loot with little risk. Second day playing and first time being inland so I’m super nervous it took me so long just to go a few miles and through a few towns

I just setup my first improvised tent and even found a car and now when i logged back in im moved 20km away.

I didnt even jump servers. Why is this a thing?

It took me 6 lives to finally get to my camp alive and well. I get sick the first night. I didn't kill anything and eat it. I only drank water from the pump. I wasn't out in the rain. I hate this f-ing game.

It's happened a fair amount of time now where player movement is silent. People sprint past windows and I don't hear them. Players sneak up on a door I'm sitting next to and I didn't hear them at all. It's pretty egregious so I'm wondering if my audio is bugged or if the audio is just bad

So I went to a barn NE of Tisy and BOOM step on a landmine left in front of the main sliding door. Now i have to limp around to find sticks and cut up my face scarf going for rags. Fix my leg. Find a half built base with a Olga that has no engine parts. 2 tents and some guns, food, random stuff and a landmine. I pushed the car in front of one gate that was built. Tossed a buncha stuff and blew all the explosives. Great success. He blew my leg almost off and ruined my bag and some gear, so I feel happy that I destroyed my first base after 500ish hours of playing. I survived. This game rules.

• I’m a disabled vet, which makes it harder to find people in my daily life who share the same interests.
• I have around 600 hours in DayZ and know a lot of tricks and strategies to survive, though I’m still often getting caught by people who are either better than me, cheating, or roll in groups.
• I’m an aspiring YouTuber and hoping to stream or record some fun "antics" with others. That said, recording or streaming is NOT mandatory — I’m just looking for fun and good company while playing.

I love the survival aspect of this game. I think one addition that would add some realism is a sleeping mechanic. There could ge a debuff of reduced stamina and injury recovery if you don't sleep at least a little bit every couple of days. With extreme debuff to stamina and injury recovery with blurred vision if you never sleep. On the other side if you take cat naps stamina and injury recover are as is but if you sleep for a longer period you have buffed stamina and injury recovery. Maybe make a bonus if you sleep in a bed or add a sleeping bag for the same effect. When your asleep the screen will be black and you won't hear as well but still somewhat hear zombies and footsteps. Do you think this would add to the survival aspect of the game?

Hello, fellow survivors!

I’m posting this because I’m looking for a player named "Slurp." This guy cold-bloodedly betrayed and murdered me and my friend after taking him in at Solnichny. We had already been given guns by a friendly player and decided to go on a journey together. Despite some suspicious behavior—mostly his silence—he still participated in a glow stick tossing game we played on the road, which made us feel more at ease (lol).

Later, we stopped to make a fire in a shed. I went out to gather more wood and spotted him holding a gun. I warned my friend, but Slurp put the weapon away. After I added the wood to the fire, it happened. While I was drying my clothes, Slurp shot my friend and then me in the face with a shotgun, giving us no time to react. We luckily got the same spawn and rushed back to where we died, but Slurp was long gone.

Has anyone else encountered this player? If not, be cautious—this was my first betrayal, and it hit hard.

Hi guys just had a really annoying experience. Checking out some buildings in tisy and opened one of the industrials to find a guy standing on the balcony looking out. Killed him by shooting a grenade on his chest and finishing him off. As I was killing the first guy I noticed his teammate in the corner of the balcony briefly. Went outside and kept an eye on the windows. Shot him a couple of times I think but not sure , ten minutes later the server wipes. I go through the other entrance and he’s gone and all of his friends gear. I guess this isn’t really combat logging just not returning after a wipe in a gunfight.

What measures if any do people think could be put in place to negate combat loggers

Me and some buddies have been playing on the skyfall servers which we've enjoyed. However I recently got banned for building a watch tower higher than 3 floors. We would like something similar but with traders aswell

So I was grinding along, decided to grow some tomatoes, added some potatoes, was going to have a feast. Decide to hide in a bush while it grew, I had a single bullet. Not even 30 seconds a duo ran in, the audacity if it they dug up my garden.... I lined up the digger from my bush and pulled the trigger... He bent over at the right time and it missed, but the distrust in dayz is strong... He immediately turned to his duo and beat them to death thinking it was them that shot at him... I stayed in my bush watching like a creepy watcher giggling to myself lmfao

So I've never really been into the KOS style, but I've made my peace that others are. So I just don't carry anything nice around. Had this idea that I wanted to build a stone oven, so I built it by a spawn point at the NE of Chenarus. Thought hey, maybe a recent spawn might like a quick fire where the zeds don't go. Maybe if I happen to be there I can offer some fish. Figured someone cooking out in the open would be seen as harmless. I know, stupid.

Anyway, within minutes of finishing it and cooking a few mackerel, I get sniped. Never saw the guy. Didn't kill me but I woke and was bandaging when he finished the job. Fine. Whatever. A damaged crossbow was my best piece of equipment. Didn't even have a firearm.

Respawn 4km away, make my way back, and of course he had butchered my body and left the meat, probably hoping someone would cook and eat it. But, he left the oven! Started a new fire, threw my corpse into it to burn, made knives of my bones. I like to think that the first player I ever kill will be this jerkoff when I stab him with a bone knife made from the corpse of the guy he cowardly sniped as he cooked.

Ad the title says, I'm a beginner on xbox, and most suggestions just say "run inland" which never works as you just run out of food. Does anyone have any tips for good loot, navigation and combat

Also, fighting zombies, I've heard there's a trick to it but what is it?

Yo, so I got DayZ, but I can't seem to play it. Every time I try to join a server, it says "Could not connect to the server because it is unreachable." I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas on what I should do?

Could you guys recommend me some servers to get into. Need more pvp action

I've cured it multiple times but it keeps coming back, I have no face coverings, I pour my water out and fill at pumps everytime disease clears, I don't eat contaminated food. My gloves are worn.

My symptoms are sweats, vomit and blurred vision and my thermometer is blue.

I just got Dayz and the first thing I see when I open up the game is a HUGE server list with lots of different names and other stuff. I want the “vanilla” experience but I don’t know what server to choose because from what I saw on YouTube there are “fake pop” servers and very modded ones. Can someone give me a list of vanilla servers that are not modded and have a decent player count?

Earlier on in the year, the devs mentioned adding an "exotic" long range rifle into the game at some point. I was hoping that the sv-98 wasn't the so called exotic rifle because it is outperformed by other other guns that you get around the same areas and it was really underwhelming. I was also hoping that the sv-98 wasn't this exotic rifle because it technically isn't exotic on chernarus, Livonia or sakhal since these areas are based in Russia which is where the sv-98 is made. I haven't heard the devs speak upon the sv-98 being the exotic rifle so maybe there's still hope for an awm or American made long range rifle?

If you've ever been in the forest, it's a pretty common occurrence that there are just broken off branches everywhere. I think it'd be a nice add on in DayZ if short sticks and long sticks just spawned in the forest, so that you don't have to use your gloves or hands. I don't know if the value this adds is enough to warrant a change, but I think it'd be cool. Also, maybe add a few different ways to make shelters in the woods. Various types of buildable shelters.

As the title suggests, I want to know your first kill on players!

My first was up at North West on Cherna. I was in a guard tower and my buddy was nearby. We heard shots from where we had just looted so we decided to hold and wait to see if they come this way. Low and behold, a guy comes to where we're at and he sits still just long enough for me to get a headshot on him with my Mosin. The rush was incredible.

Looking for some good PvP servers, preferably Vanilla+ with a map and group features, but I’m also open to trying modded servers (preferably not too many mods). The type of maps doesn’t matter, and I want a lot of PvP action since that’s what I find the most fun :)
