"We are the warriors of the Grey Knights, armoured in faith, shielded by devotion and armed with purity of purpose. But greater even than these, we carry the light of the divine Emperor of Man into the dark places to purge the daemonic wherever it may be found."

Resurrection
At the end of the 13th Black Crusade, a group of survivors from Cadia left for Macragge. Led by Belisarius Cawl and Saint Celestine, the group allied with Eldar in the service of Ynnead who helped them flee using the Web. The motley group thus arrived at Ultramar where Cawl revealed that one of his works which occupied him for ten thousand years was a powerful armor capable of regenerating Guilliman. Despite the reluctance of many Ultramarines to have their genetic father freed from stasis, Cawl set out to awaken Guilliman. At the same time, a vast Chaos invasion began to prevent the rise of the Primarch.
Belisarius Cawl's creation alone was not enough, but through the power of the god of death of his Eldar allies, Cawl brought Guilliman back to life, who quickly took command of his chapter and suppressed Macragge's renegades. . Although he was deeply saddened to discover the state of the Imperium, he realized that time would not allow him to mope, and he gathered his Astartes to travel to Terra.
Following this battle, Roboute Guilliman was officially crowned Lord of Ultramar in the Chapter Master's sanctuary. Marneus Calgar, Varro Tigurius, Agemman and their closest lieutenants were present, along with representatives of all the capitular companies. Saint Celestine blesses the Primarch and Yvraine of the Ynnari observed this historic moment.

I have never tout he’d a rts or a MOBA or anything like that at all, I just want a good beginner game that’s set in the 40k universe. Dawn of war 3 looks cool, but I keep hearing that it’s really bad, in what way is this true?
I also play chaos, and want to be able to play as them, which one is best for the slaves to darkness?
How long does it take to find a quick match in dawn of wat 3
i've seen videos from before release and after, those graphics and mechanics just don't fit in 40k game... tried it for 10 min, uninstalling and redownloading space marine which was bit boring when came out but ill try again
Does anyone know if there is a mod that allows you to build 2 groups of units per unit built.
Example: if I build 1 Dreadnought in the factory, 2 Dreadnoughts get dropped off
I was looking at making this mod myself but I remembered that I'm not a programmer
I feel like if you just doubled the unit count on the battlefield that would balance champions as there so op also make the game awesome
Hey guys, greetings.
I've deinstalled Dawn of War 3 and I dont know if it was an common thing from Relic to just open an new Tab in the Browser to finish an survey about DoW 3 and what you think of.
I did in hope of Relic that they stick it back to DoW since they almost finished Age of Empires 4.
So if you guys already witnessed the survey months or even years earlier that ignore the post, but if you have the game installed and not played then deinstall and complete the survey in hope of that relic finds its love back to DoW.
Otherwise.. in my theory I just hope that they search new interested or already interested people to play DoW 3 again coz AoE is basically ready to go.
Hey guys,
I'm a long time DoW fan. And Just recently been playing DoW3. Clearly the online community for this game doesnt exsist. But I am looking for people to play Skirmishes with for fun :)
Annihalation mode actually makes the game wayyy more enjoyable.
But still has terrible UI etc.
Comment on this post and lets see if we can get some players together.
PS: I also play DoW2.
I was looking in to DoW games' customization and I couldn't find if 3 had halved or quartered options to customize Space Marines. Can someone inform me about if it does offer It? Images of it would be nice too.
I admit at first the game seemed overwhelming. Starcraft II did a great job with their tutorial and having missions that allowed you to slowly focus on some units and upgrades. No controls or hotkeys listed made it a little difficult to maneuver at first. With Dawn of War 3 I never really have a feeling on how effective the units are, or how effective it is to upgrade a unit.
I do really like the game though, and I actually really like what they did with the multiplayer, even though, most people hated it.
Anyways, I hope they make a Dawn of War 4 and keep the series alive.
3vs3 custom match up right now
Was the hipsters sipping their soy latte all "I prefer the original game".
DoW3 is fucking fantastic. I picked it up last night for the super cheap deal from Steam. DoW2 remains to this day my most played game on Steam.
I have now played all 3 and all 3 of them are brilliant.
This game wasn't bad. It was simply downvoted to hell by a hipster audience.
You can even see it on YouTube reviews of the game. Comments like;
"Me and my mates like to build a big base and big army before fighting" - I have never respected an RTS player who has this mentality. It's the same mentality that got me kicked out of hundreds of C&C3 games on XBOX 360. The idea of an RTS is to win, notice how Starcraft players don't cry when their opponant is "rushing". In fact, they refer to this as strong play, and even stronger player if the defender is able to mitigate the rush.
That's all that's wrong with DoW 3 - young players who were 12 when DoW1 dropped crying because DoW3 has out stripped their mental capacity.
"Oh but its like a MOBA now :(" - Grow up ya fannys!
Sorry for the rant, but it's been bugging me all bloody day. Sat in work chewing my friends ears off about it too.
I keep hearing Eldar is strongest early game, Ork is unstoppable late game, and SM just suck. I am SM main and always go Devastator spam with passive vehicle repair for the win but do struggle and lose a lot against good Orks. Basically people have said SM are easiest and Eldar are most difficult but SM falls off the most at higher skill ceiling. What say you?
Hi guys, I've got dawn of War 3 but I can't find any online match while I try to play on multiplayer, what can I do to find matches with real people?
Can i runDawn of War 3 on what settings and fps intel core 2 duo E7500 2,93ghz, win7 64bit, 6gb ram ddr3 nvidia gt710 2gb, directx11
So i was a huge fan of DoW1 played the crap out of it. DoW2 was okay but didnt like the whole scrappage of the base building. Purchased 3 and so far I'm liking it, there are a lot of issues and things I dont like but its not too bad. I understand the developers no longer support after a year of release, which is shocking, so I take it theres no content? Is there a player base still or has everyone just got up and left?
Now it's gone and no more content will be made. This is not a discussion of what was wrong with the game so please don't talk about that. This is not a discussion of why the game failed. This is not a discussion of what is needed in the game. This is not a discussion about what you liked or disliked about the game. This is not a discussion about why you didn't support the game by not playing it and talking shit about it online.
So, do you regret not supporting the game by playing it and by not talking shit about it online?
It doesn't seem like my Elite's are not retaining levels as I've gone through the Campaign. Do I have to hit the next level to keep the experience? Do I have to do it through multiplayer?
Any assistance appreciated!
I've bought the game for ten bucks. Coming from a sstarcraft2 and dow background. I'm finding each mission of the campaign so slow. Most missions taking me about an hour on hard setting.
I'm a bit confused by the reasoning behind listings a units dps but not now often they strike. Units like wraithguard do 69 dmg(nice) but they shoot like once every 4 or 6 seconds. And a lot of that big damage is wasted if the unit dies while the shot is enroute.
Also being punished for having an army, should I just be trying to do more with less? Mixing damage types between normal, All and heavy armor has had some success but it's still a slow slog.
Am I missing something? I'm finding tanks a real good way but getting enough power to actually build an army that can take the map is a long while to build up the power.
At least with tanks you can repair them mid fight and don't lose them and have to run home wasting time and resources to reinforce a squad that doesn't get much done.
Any hints for a noob? I'm a little confused by some concepts and surely the missions are not designed to take this long.
