I'm looking into adding a dash cam - both front and rear, and have a stupid question. Is there any sort of camera system that is stealth enough that people won't break into the car to steal it?

Using the Viofo branded hardwire kit meant for the A129. Multimeter reads 12 volts on the fuse I'm trying to tap. I swapped out the tap thinking it might be faulty, but that didn't change anything. Acc tap is working fine with no trouble, ground wire is on a good point (confirmed with multimeter) What am I doing wrong? What should I try fiddling with?

What are the best budget dash cams out there right now?

My family and I are going to be going cross country soon and will average about 8 hours a day driving. Are there any battery power dashcams that we could purchase? I am not finding much online. Our power outlet in my car does not work, no idea why and not worth fixing right now/don't have the time before the trip (already checked fuses), but it is diesel so it makes more sense to take that to save money on fuel. For our daily driver I can use the power outlet no problem.
I have seen the GoPro as an option but I would rather not spend over $100 for a dashcam we will only use while leaving town 1/2x a month. We also have a pretty decent power bank that could recharge while driving as long as it does not die within 30 mins.

My boss is asking me to source a good option for a dashcam, rear cam. We want to use it on our trucks. Something that works as a rearview camera would be a nice touch, could help with our drivers to have better vision. Now, we don’t want anyone to be able to disable the recording, not choose to record, or delete the recording. Having it become operational at startup with no choices would be ideal.

All of these manufacturers, and models, are all loaded like cell phones, apps, upon apps, upon apps. I can’t make heads or tails.

Hi all! I am looking for a recommendation for a dash cam for my 2017 Honda CR-V touring. Have had the car for a few years now and love it, but have been scared to do the installation. I can't stand visible cables.

I have the touring, so my rearview mirror has a 14 point wiring harness. I can't seem to find a kit that says it works for the touring however, the one model I found that I think would work says that it works for the EX-L model, not the touring.

I'm also not sure regarding models, I see the FitcamX looks nice but I don't see a lot of reviews. VIOFO has a lot of options but I don't know how high end I need to go for a good experience.

I am in the market for 2 dashcams. One is for a 2017 Subaru Impreza (Base), and the other is for a 2022 Subaru Legacy (Premium).

I would like to have front and rear cameras for each car. I don't need crazy unnecessary features, but I would like something that has HD and is good at night, collision detection, parking surveillance, SD card + wifi compatibility, and a screen. Not looking to break the bank, but quality/reliability is important.

Is there a setting to change this? I use a Obd cable, it only picks up motion from the rear camera and not the other cameras. Can't find a setting to change this.

Also why does my parking mode loop everything into one short video that is playing at 5x speed. If someone vandalizes my car I wouldn't even be able to tell because it's always a short 10 second clip
