I'm trying to but put a new bg for my subreddit using this theme, but I can't get anything to fit. What's the perfect dimension to use for a header for this reddit theme?

I really love a lot of the elements in this theme, but some are, well, so-so.
So I remixed it and made what you can see on /r/DuuL
If you would like the source (it's really messy because I didn't really intend to give it to people) just ask.

so to help, let's start with a quick link to the subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/BorderlandsRP/.
I have saved it in this state to give you an idea of what i need to fix. The arrows are being changed to match the vault symbol from the game this subreddit is based upon, and are each 20px x 20px in this format: http://prntscr.com/8mewjx. Also, the font i ended up using (which is actually the font that matches the game) became picilated and was hoping someone could help me understand how to fix that. thanks!
