Hello, I am planning on making these custom chocolate favors. Does anyone know where people buy the plain gold wrapped chocolates from in bulk?
Hello! My fiancé and I love designing/ drawing and want to make our own wedding invitations. I have a really nice printer, so was also hoping to print them myself, but I’m not sure. Those of you who have printed your invitations on your home printer how did it go? What kind of paper did you use? Would you mind sharing a photo? Thanks!
Hi, how are you all planning on doing the clean up/tear down the next day? My mom says it’s too much to ask my friends and family to help with clean up. But is it? Since this is a backyard wedding we won’t have any help from the venue and we aren’t hiring a coordinator.
I want to have a “candy bar” at my wedding like this but I am trying to keep the budget way down. For any crafty people out there, how would you go about diy-ing something like this?

If you have real photos (not website ones), then even better
When my partner and I started planning our wedding, one of the hardest parts was figuring out who to invite—and more importantly, who we couldn't invite. We wanted to make sure we prioritized the right people without hurting feelings, but it was such a stressful, emotional process. (WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE SO MANY DAMN COUSINS)
Anyway, in the end I ended up writing a little code/script to help us. It let us rank guests based on different factors (like how often we see them, how close we are, etc.) and gave us a way to sort our list logically rather than emotionally. Honestly, it made things so much easier for us.
I was telling a friend of mine about it and they suggested I turn it into something other couples could use, so I spent some time building it into a free webtool that anyone can try. I'm not looking to make any money from it—I just thought it might help someone else going through the same thing.
If you’re curious, the website is called Who to Invite. It’s super simple: you just enter your guest limit, rank people based on what matters to you, and it helps you organize your list.
Honestly, at this point I've found it quite a fun little project to work on in my spare time and I figured hell, if I can help ease the stress of the dreaded wedding shortlist for even one other couple, then it's probably worth doing.
Hi everyone! 👋
I recently launched a website called Desinvite (desinvite.in you can visit the site for an example invitation) that offers elegant digital wedding invitations. Each invite includes:
The price is ₹2000 per invite, and I’d love to hear your thoughts! Is this something you’d consider for your wedding or a friend’s? Are there any features you'd like to see added?
Feel free to share your feedback—positive or critical. It’ll really help me improve the service!
Thanks in advance 😊
My fiancé and I are having a small (less than two dozen guests) casual wedding and are on a tight budget. We are also planning it in less than a month, for reasons I won’t get into.
We plan to have a ceremony in a park and then take folks out to dinner. Do I need to provide a cocktail hour or at least snacks and refreshments while we are at the park for the ceremony? Even if the ceremony will be short?
We are paying for the dinner and providing and open bar.
Having food and drinks at the park means someone would have to set all that up before the ceremony and I don’t want to leave food out on a table outside for very long.
After pricing it out we could basically either pay for food or we can pay for staff to set up and take it down, but we can’t afford both.
Can we skip the cocktail hour all together or will it seem like something is missing?
Hi DIYers! I love the look of bobby pins like this: https://www.jenniferbehr.com/products/karina-bobby-pin-set-sapphire?variant=Sapphire but can't stomach spending so much on glass hair decorations (Czech crystal is glass). We have access to some gemstones similar to https://labradoriteking.com/products/5-pcs-aaa-london-blue-topaz-flawless?_pos=1&_sid=d79013c59&_ss=r&variant=43479869161684 and I thought it would be easy to find some bobby pins with claw mounts, but I have not found anything! Any advice for where to look? Or how else to mount them?
Any recommendations for good quality trim with a vintage feel? I would need at least 10 yards.
My wedding is 7 months out and I’ve been collecting everything from artificial flowers (including arrangements), centerpiece items, tablecloths, dinnerware, and more. My house is getting overwhelmed, to say the least!
Give me your best organization tips! How did you keep florals from getting squashed and dusty? Did you wash and store your dishes immediately or did you wash them right before the wedding? Did you go crazy with color coding boxes or are you a label maker kind of person? All suggestions wanted, you organization queens and kings!
Hi everyone! I’m getting married next year and thinking about DIYing my florals, but I’ve hit a bit of a roadblock. Most of the DIY floral kits I’ve seen from places like Flower Moxie lean toward more traditional floral styles, which isn’t quite what I’m envisioning.
I’m drawn to modern, sculptural designs such as asymmetrical statement pieces that are loose and freeform with varying heights and depths. I also love the idea of incorporating lots of textural variety and cascading florals/greenery. I'll include a photo for reference. The problem is, I haven’t been able to find many online resources or flower suppliers that cater to this style.
Has anyone else had a similar experience when considering DIYing your florals? Did you find any good solutions or suppliers for this type of aesthetic? I’m thinking of purchasing the book “Flowering: Easygoing Floral Design for Surprising Contemporary Arrangements” to start. I’d love to hear your tips, advice, or even just reassurance that it’s possible to DIY something in this style. Thanks in advance! 💐
Our venue comes with an arch we can use, and I want to make sure we can put up draping in a secure way that it won’t blow away if it’s windy, and that our fake flowers can stay on without damaging the arch (so no nails or pins). Anyone have any tricks or products they used for theirs? We are planning to use a premade 1-2 small silk flower arrangement, and one draping. Photo is of the arch we will have, but ignore the flowers there (won’t be our design)
We are wanting to do a fingerprint heart on the wine glasses for our guests to take home, what paint world we use that isn't something that would wash off and not something we have to "bake" or glasses for?
Also - is this tracky on our wine glasses? We originally wanted to get a bunch of assorted mugs and do a coffee bar with a sign "to have and to hold" but it will be a hot day, (probably) and I know people won't drink the coffee so it's kind of a waste. We won't be doing take-home gifts other than this, so if it sucks it sucks lol.
I’m really debating just building my own from flowers at Michael’s. I don’t want real ones, I want one that will last forever. Open to Sola Wood too but it can get pricy. What did you do for your bouquet? TIA!
I don't know what to do with my large mirror!!
I bought this mirror before I decided to use a large acrylic sign for my welcome sign
Now I need new ideas on how to use it! Its too pretty to not use Its 1.5' x 2.5' excluding the frame
Should I put a quote on it? Pictures? Give me your ideas!! :)
This online store was frequently recommended for wedding supplies by this sub and the weddings under 10k sub. We ordered about $350 worth of items from them for our wedding, including four cute glass drink dispensers (which was $90 of that). We got married yesterday, and unfortunately realized the day before that the drink dispensers were defective and all leaked around the spigot. Although we are outside of the 30 day return window, I messaged their customer care team and they quickly had a person respond to me who refunded the amount of the dispensers. I hope this gives you confidence in ordering from them and does NOT encourage anyone to take advantage of their excellent customer service. The rest of everything we ordered was perfect and very well packaged.
This is in no way affiliated with them or anything, I just wanted to share a really positive experience for fellow diy wedditors!
I'm thinking about these candles from IKEA and these cylinder vases from Dollar Tree but I'm not sure if the candle to vase ratio is right. The IKEA candles are 4" tall and the Dollar Tree vases are 7.25" tall. Would there be too much headspace? The candle would take up less than 2/3 of the vase. Or am I better off getting the 6" vase?
I used Canvaplus and uploaded pictures of my cats and used this frame from target https://www.target.com/p/9-34-x12-34-matted-to-5-34-x7-34-aluminum-arch-table-frame-black-threshold-8482/-/A-88692100
Hi ya’ll!
I’m trying to DIY a bar sign for a friends wedding and I’ve been looking up some inspo on Etsy. Does anyone know where I can find or how I can make acrylics similar to the one pictured? I love the frosted and glass look.
TIA!
