Hello,
Im looking for new locations that are accessible by car as i do automotive photography. Does anybody know of any "high class" or abandoned or scenic places to shoot in Dallas? My two locations have been closed off.
Outside the crow museum near there are two statues of guards but i cannot remember what type? Does anyone know?

It's so amazing
I am desperately trying to achieve a life long dream of creating a non-profit (mostly digital) publication for unpublished and amateur writers, artist and poets. Photographs are acceptable. We really need more of a visual element. Several of my friends and colleagues have agreed to contribute but we really need a wider range of material.
I cannot provide any sort of financial compensation but if your work is selected for inclusion I will send you a handbound copy of your issue and your name (or pseudonym) will be perpetually included in our yearly honor roll of substantial contributors. You can choose to remain completely anonymous, to be identified by your Reddit username or whatever else you feel comfortable with. Again, any art work that can be accurately represented on paper would be highly welcome and very much appreciated. Let the world see your secret selves!!! Send me some messages people!!!
Are there any cabaret shows where the dancers actually perform as an art? Even if they aren't nude, I just want to see erotic dancers who can actually dance.
The Etsy Dallas Jingle Bash will be held this year on 11/11 at Eddie Deen's Ranch. Dallas' premier handmade shopping event and party, will showcase the very best in handmade and local arts, bags, jewelry, home décor, accessories, art, pottery and more! Hand-picked artists, crafters and designers from near and far will all gather at the Jingle Bash which sees about 3500 shoppers.

Hey, DFW!
My partner and I have recently began our own creative arts school offering private lessons across the DFW area. Together the two of us have over 20 years experience teaching, and along with the rest of our teachers offer lessons in music(guitar, bass, banjo, piano, drums, hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, ukulele, vocals, band coordination, and music theory. List subject to grow as new teachers join), drawing, photography, sculpting, dancing, martial arts (multiple styles including Kenpo, Karate, Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, Boxing, etc.) hair styling, cooking, and a lot more. We are still hiring new teachers, and all art forms are welcome. Our aim is to become a student focused arts school offering whatever a student may want in order to ensure the learning process is as natural and effective as possible, and to expand our demographic to cover the DFW area.
We're currently hiring new teachers and looking for new students wherever we can find them in order to build our customer base and spread our name. We are based out of Denton, but have teachers living across the DFW area and offer private lessons, and can come to you or any preferred location across the DFW area. Students of all ages are welcome. We have a standard rate of $25 per 30 minute lesson, but prices can be worked out individually with customers, as our school is student focused.
If interested in lessons or teaching please PM me for further details, and we can set up lessons with whichever teacher would best suit you, or an interview to see if you're what we're looking for.
Thanks for reading, everyone! I hope to see you soon for lessons or spreading the arts!

I am looking to get a gift for one of my mentors. I really wanted to get her a painting and I wanted to reach out to some of the local artists. PM me with some of your work and we can go over some of the ideas I had
I am looking to take some pictures from around the city. I would love to be able to get on one of the rooftops, but I don't know which ones (if any) are open to the public. I know some of the high-rises downtown have observation windows, but I would rather not deal with glass.
So if anybody knows of some good spots, please let me know.
Thanks!

Hey! Names Effy, I'm a local art show curator in east Dallas. I've thrown two art shows (with over 100 people in attendance) and looking to rent a space/gallery for my third one BUT having lots of trouble finding the best place to use. Firstly, I throw an art/live music event so I need somewhere that will not get stressed about a noise aspect. Secondly, budget is a massive deal. Everywhere I've called is over $1000 to rent a space for a night (approximately 4-6 hours) being new to this and not charging my artists any price to be in the shows, my budget is very minimal (right around $600, bit more if I’m lucky). Lastly I need to have a central location. In the past I’ve thrown my past two shows in Richardson, and though there was a great turnout I want to be more central to Downtown Dallas to assure I pull in the art crowd and more people that would be interested in the event. Any help is appreciated, I’m really struggling!!!! Thanks in advance!
I've used around 15 different local artists ranging from oil, acrylic, mixed media, photography, and graphic design in my shows and am always looking for new talent! Message me if you’re interested and want to talk more :) @effy2308 insta/twitter
