Not sure if it is useful or if I should salvage and get the spark to build a different mystic
Trying to find ideas to increase my dps for a lightning spear sorc with chain as my median(i like this build better than any spear or chain build i have found). Capped out on armor, resistance, movement, crit chance and cooldowns for ice armor, unstable, with 1900 crit dam(could improve GAs). Running shako(for cooldown), tyraels, starless with storm swell gloves, conceited main hand, lightning rod offhand, splintering other amulet, esu for crit damage and finish crit chance cap(15%) tal rasha flame shield. All Smith attributes I'm running is with is 50/50 crit damage and shock crit damage with 75% double hit on chain and 26% double on lightning spear damage. Have tried swapping all variations of staff with lightning rod, double damage to 50% on spears, 100% on chain double hits (if I rework the mixture of two hand aspect on lightning rod or concieted, or the Smith attributes for chain hit and spear damage - all variations run me a very simular dps) the only thing I can think to add any dps is to get higher GAs and max glyphs. Was running recommended builds for paragon boards and glyphs (chain and spear have almost identical paragon builds on max ice and meta). Did swap unleash for invocation and got a higher dps. I do git the 20% increase to stunned but not chilled only way I know you get that I lose 125%crit damage. Any ideas might help. Thanks in advance.
Disclaimer: Diversity and Modding skills on the skill tree seems to be a weak aspect of d4. Hydra has tons of potential but here we are. Maybe the skills (not just hydra) can receive this kind of treatment.
Enhanced Hydra: Merge Current Effect (more heads) + Critical Chance proc from Invoked Hydras
Hydra Enchantment: Increased cap to 4
Base Hydra: Your Hydras Inflict Burning damage for 8 seconds and they do deal fire Damage and has a lucky hit (30%-x) to replace its projectiles with Firebolt.
Invoked Hydras: Changed to Frost Hydras. Hydras now deal Frost damage and has a lucky hit (30%-x) to replace its projectiles with Frostbolt.
Summoned Hydras: Changed to Lightning Hydras. Hydras now deal shock Damage and has a lucky hit (30%-x) to replace its projectiles with Spark.
Hydra Unique: Trinity (Unique Wand)
Implicit: % Non Physical Damage
*+ Ranks to Hydra
*+ Luck hit chance to Hydras
*+ Ranks To Core Skills
*+ Hydra Damage
Unique: Effect: Your Hydra’s Have A X% Lucky hit chance to cast a LEARNED Core Skill of the same element depending on your Hydra Upgrades: Ex: Lightning Hydras Have x% Chance to Cast Chain Lightning.
Hey guys. So I recently switched to mekunas pit pushing variant instead of the Lightning Ball version with shroud and shako to the pit pushing with heir and raiment. I had no trouble clearing pit 85 with the mobs dying very quick and came to the boss in about 3-4 minutes and then I got mother's judgment but with charged bolt it seems to be good to be close up to the boss to get any dmg going just teleporting around wasn't as easy without flickerstep and standing far away felt like I was not getting any dmg out on her but if i was up close I did stagger her pretty quick but got stacks very fast and insta died after 4 stacks. How do you guys do with pit bosses and this build?
Hey guys, I’ve been playing Sorc this season (first season playing this game) and went CL. I’ve tried looking at different builds on YouTube but it’s kind of hard mimicking builds fully due to lack of gear and such. I’ve been progressing decently, can do Pit 75 (close to 80) but I feel like my ignorance is keeping me limited. So I come to this sub hat in hand asking for help. All I really want to know is, what is absolutely crucial for every CL sorc to maximize damage. I know you can make tweaks and can use this aspect or that glyph but what does a Sorc NEED to be using when it comes to gear, aspects, rune words, skills, paragon boards and glyphs. Without boring you with details I currently use: frost burn, azure, tal rasha, starless skies, shroud, harlequin, axial and my amulet/focus are rare. For the last 2 which tempers do I NEED and what enchants am I looking for? Sorry for the long winded post and I’m certain my answers are already out there but I always prefer answers from here because it includes user experience.
Any assistance or guidance is greatly appreciated.
Finally
I am considering going for an inferno meteorite build next season but I am unsure how meteorites scale.
Are they considered fire skills for the various passives, glyphs and paragon nodes ?
So I recently changed my whole sorcerer build from:
This: https://mobalytics.gg/diablo-4/profile/935c1e59-4ac0-48b0-9eea-61b7d3f2af59/builds/1f24a7bc-7289-4e7f-b947-2b1248615dcd?coreTab=assigned-skills&equipmentTab=aspects-and-uniques&variantTab=0
And now I do pretty much 0 damage
I always love a sorcerer and have most of the new equipment build (but all at 750 power which I should still be able to do damage)
And No I dont have the new extension of the game can I still do the quest to be able to craft the purple???
Lucky Hit: Shock Skills have up to a 7/14/21% chance to Stun enemies for 3 seconds.
Does that mean 21% of my lucky hits have a chance to stun, or 21% of all my shock attacks will be lucky and stun an enemy?
If it’s 21% of all my attacks, is that boosted by my Lucky Hit Chance Bonus (currently 47.3%)?
Also, in a Chain Lightning build, do I have a chance for a lucky hit every time chain lightning bounces to a new enemy?
Long live the Sorc Meta!
(If you agree with the changes to remove Firebolt enchant and Devouring Blaze along with Conjuration Mastery from literally every top-tier build, just comment "Long live the Sorc meta!". If not, create your own post bitching about it.)
CM (now renamed) nerfed
dev blaze - nerfed for other builds, but not for fire builds
BL .. i feel that it is buffed quite a bit. Aside from the new unique, now the old gravitational will give more damage. static surge now gives a multipler after using a shock skill. ceaseless conduit also gives skill damage now.
Overall, without dev blaze & cm scaling, probably still a nerf, but they can adjust all the numbers up depending on what happens in the PTR.
However, in terms of comparing sorc builds, I bet BL will be the meta this time. FB (buffed a bit) will still be viable. They have two new unique out for BL. Hard to imagine they won't make it the meta.
Blizzard STILL has not learned to not take without giving. I do think that ideologically they are moving in a better direction. They are missing the mark entirely by nerfing things that actually make a sorc viable past pit 65 and have offered nothing as a replacement. A promise to “look to redistribute the power” has now come to a point where no one has faith that they will. With so many nerfs over all of the seasons and so few buffs or meaningful changes to the class, time and again, has left many of us feeling that they don’t care about the class, don’t understand the class, don’t play the class, or actively dislike the class. Unless you want to use fire, and then they just don’t actively hate your build ideas.
The new items are neat, yes. Sorcerers need to be unchained from every build taking mostly the same skills to survive and be viable in end game play, yes.
However, all they have done so far is take away the things that made sorc viable in late game and offered nothing to replace it, unless you are a fire sorc. Some of the mechanical ideas and implementations are neat. Neat, however, does not make us suddenly find the intense amount of damage they just took from all non fire based builds. All we have is their word to go on. Not even specifics of where they are looking to add to passives, skills, or aspects and that they are ACTIVELY testing to try and fix it. Just “looking” and after all of the time that D4 has been out, I no longer believe their word.
Quite unfortunately I do love this game. I have been a Diablo fan and player since the first one came out. I wish I was mad enough to quit. Oh well, see y’all in season 7 as a fire sorc I guess.
And is int really better than damage percentage increase ?
I have a couple GA CM with 60+ on aspect. Pm me if you want
Eternal Sorc. After a full year I’m back with the expansion and happy. Pushing pits into the 90s with my Mekuna’s LS build. And I just managed to get my amulet with int, conjunction mastery, and devouring blaze - took over 2 billion gold to get it where I wanted!
Oh man, I can’t wait until the next big patch drops and I see what they have planned!
Oh, the PTR notes! Let me just have a quick little ponder and see what boosts I can expect…
Just need another opinion on it. Left or right?
just curious what glyph levels amd paragon level do you guys had when you did pit 65? i can survive fine but damage is my problem lol. i cant do it fast enough
I have leveling up my chain lightning andariel sorc, resourcing so far seems fine but i need to constantly moving to pick up my crackling energy. Is there a way to automatically pick them up? It is annoying that I have to keep running
Any feedback is good. "We are listening" TM.
Preface - My builds are often structured in a way that has to cater to a large audience. There are often times I know a setup is more damage, but I opt to make the builds tankier or easier to play. The tier list is accessed by a very large subset of players. You have sweats, and then you have retired grandmothers and I am not kidding.
I never want to assume someone has a specific GA on a mythic like crit chance on perdition, or a specific GA on something to meet crit chance or attack speed reqs, so GA and masterwork choices can be difficult. I often add an extra crit chance roll or something just to make sure everyone's set. There are also a few ways to setup a build, mainly the skill bar and tempers, and tbh sometimes it's really difficult to know what is "Best". I usually opt for, what is very good, and feels GOOD to play? Builds need to play smoothly without annoying setups or fishing (why I don't make shatter builds)
My biggest issue with my builds is what happens with the variants as the season progresses, as things/metas change and new bugs or techs are found. I get caught in a crossroads of not wanting to tear down the builds and rebuild every week as the meta evolves. What happens is I will make slight tweaks to paragon or items. It's in the same light as blizzard not wanting to nuke bugs midseason, I don't want to do large overhauls. I used to change paragons and gear A LOT, and the complaints were HEARD. As a result, I'll be honest, the variant tabs end up an absolute mess and I personally think they are confusing.
With the way tempering is, it can be really difficult to ask people to change things like amulet tempers etc. You can't switch from a resource temper (familiar duration) to a mobility temper (evade cdr) so I usually have to make a new variant.
What do you want to see more of?
What do you want to see less of?
Do you guys want triple MW on legendary gear? (I often do 2-1 setups because it's mathematically easier to hit)
Are there any sections you want to see in the additional info I don't have?
My biggest flaw is probably not updating text writeups properly after making changes. TBH I just have a lot on my plate with all of them, and as metas change it's hard to catch every little thing where I mention a skill on the bar that is no longer there. I do not content create diablo full time, I have a financial analyst 9-5 job and try to balance gym/tennis/personal life. Life's hard
Hello everyone, I've fallen in love with the "Emperor Palpatine Chain Lightning" build for the sorceress and it's just a lot of fun.
But unfortunately I have now hit a wall. Pit at level 70 still works, but at 75 it's over. In principle, I have all items from the build with sometimes even better GAs than specified. I've never seen an amulet like the one listed in the build drop. Nothing even remotely comparable! Can this really make up the small but subtle difference between Torment 3 and Torment 4?
I am doing the Frozen Orb spam build and just got a 2 GA perfect roll Winterglass, but it doesn’t have GA for Conj Mastery which my current one has. I am wondering if I should switch or keep using the one I already have.
I am using this build as guide to work from: https://mobalytics.gg/diablo-4/builds/sorcerer/frozen-orb
Guys question on + skills on an amulet and master working. Do you need to double crit to get a +skill to +4? Or can you just have one crit together to +4? Screenshot below, i waisted my luck on a non-ancestral amulet this season so i only get 8/8 masterworks. Could this me +4 for both skills? Or is it ideal the way it is? Thanks!
Hi all Sorc players!
This is my third season playing Diablo but also the season that I have gotten my best build so far. Very happy how the season turned out for my fireball build.
If interested check the gear here since I can not upload the photos on this sub it seems:
https://postimg.cc/gallery/rxPPHnM
After all the equipshowever I have completely lost all motivation to keep going and am done for the season, perhaps done for good even unless something changes in how these seasons play out. It's very grindy and not much is interesting after you max out your character. The only other upgrades I can think of would be 4ga Mythics in each slot and to do some more triple masterworking. But after multiple attempts at getting the mythics and gambles etc I have simply taken the stance that my time is more important, and for what?
It would be interesting if the game focused a bit more on the open world gameplay, since I feel it's just window dressing in comparison to dungeons play. In many ways diablo 4 feels like a single player game aswell..you feel sort of isolated even though you see other players.
I have done an ungodly amount of varshan runs and that gets really old really fast, running bosses is not fun, it feels like you are at the one armed bandit slot machine in vegas pulling the spin over and over again.
What would be the biggest change you would like to see for Diablo 4?
Thanks all in advance
Ive been using icy veins builds simply because I used the website for wow. However, their sorc fireball build feels a bit meh now that I've fleshed it out. Is there a better endgame sorc build that people recommend?
