How was storm druid on PTR?

Either tornado or lightning storm. I take it Shepherd's aspect is the way to go, but how's companions with the stat inheritance buff faring now? I had an absolute blast with LS druid in S3, albeit it was my 2nd char and I had an easy time getting both unsung wraps and tempest roar, but then again - no restriction on aspects is going to make leveling much easier (hopefully).

Any feedback/impressions are welcome.

Nature's Fury And Boulder Question?

I run Boulder with Nature's Fury with Hurricane, Trample and Bulwark. Petrify is my Ult. I tried both Storm Strike and Wind Shear, and it seems the only skill being reset is Hurricane. I use the Symbiotic aspect on my chest.

Is this how it's supposed to work? I can't really find what resets and what doesn't but if Bulwark and/or Trample reset, it would help with uptime on my Tibault's.

Druid Key Passives Rebalance

I've been a Druid player for quite a while, decided to try some new classes on S2 and S3. I noticed that key passives in general are shitty, but Druid is definitely getting the worst ones (Rogues are also not great, absolute wall of text). For the most part, Blizz did decent work on Barb key passives and Sorc key passives to a degree.

If you were a developer at Blizzard, how would you rebalance Druid's key passives?

I'll start: Perfect Storm has to be one of the most shitty key passives in the game. First, the Spirit restoration of 1 is absolutely terrible. I would suggest the Spirit gain to become a percentage based on max Spirit, 5% seems decent. This will help out early-game resource issues for Storm builds and make Druid builds have less reliance on Lust for Carnage.

Also, the x20% damage to Vulnerable, Immobilized, and Slowed enemies is also terrible. Maybe cause it scale with your total Crit Damage / Damage to Close and Distant (like Ossified Essence)? Or, if another 'boring-increase-in-damage-key-passive' seems boring, an alternate option could be increasing Storm skill size (either as a constant such as +50% or scale with some stat, I have no idea why Tornado doesn't have a Temper option to increase this), or make Critical Strikes with Storm skills charge the enemy with electricity, where it explodes after a certain period of time or if the enemy is killed, dealing area damage based on the damage you dealt to them.

These changes should help compensate for the Shepard's Aspect's extra damage if it is nerfed/reworked, give Tornado more crowd control, as well as making the key passive more fun to use in general.

Thoughts?

Hurricane Druid - This Build will be an ABSOLUTE BLAST in Season 4! - Diablo 4 Theorycrafting

Hey guys Angren with a new Season4 Theorycraft Video for the upcoming Season4 in Diablo4!

The Hurricane Druid will be a real blast in the upcoming Diablo4 Season4! Thanks to the changes to our Shepherds Aspect our skilltree and most important the new Temerping Affixes we now have the Chance to keep up our Hurricane all the time thanks to the Hurricane Duration or Hurricane Cooldown Reduction tempered Affixes.

Also because of the removed trading restrictions we can now buy some nice aspects way earlier for Tornado and Symbiotic Aspet and some other stuff to get this Build going even faster!

Also thanks to Aceofspades he Made an Build in the PTR so you can checkout his chanel and his video if you want a showcase of the build!

This Will be also a real strong Season4 char as you dont need that much gear besides the Hurricane Duration to get this build going.

And for the first time I have the feeling that you can play a human Hurricane Tornado Druid like it was back then in Diablo2!

Check out my Video down below!

https://youtu.be/6ENWc8R2DbU

It is a theorycraft Video so this wont be a Build Guide yet but I will prepare a Build Guide until the Season4 arrives so if you wanna HAVE SOME D2 NADO DRUID FLASHBACKS THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE RIGHT BUILD FOR YA!

I haven't tried druid yet but my friends always say the class is bad. Thinking about going druid in season 4 is it really that bad.

Werewolf companion Shred / Rabies Druid Season 4 PTR showcase - Never had so much fun with my little wolfpack!

Hey Guys! Angren with a Season 4 PTR Showcase for All People that are waiting SO LONG TIME for companions to be viable! And on top I got some spicy Rabies for you!

The Rabies Companion Lacerate Druid might be a real Thing with Diablo 4 Season4! And I have a Build that I theorycrafted for you that you can check out on the ptr! This build is a heavy shapeshifting Build that uses all Companion skills our Rabies Skill to apply Poison and Lacerate to finish the Enemies off with our Ultimate!

✅ The Rabies / Shred Companion Druid will be a real good Build in Season 4 Diablo 4 I took this build to the PTR and test out if its viable for the Season 4! And oh boy I had so much fun blasting with this build in the ptr that I cant wait to test the Rabies / Shred Companion Druid out in the upcoming Season 4 in Diablo4!

✅ Thanks to the new tempering and masterworking system but also the buffs to the skilltree, the companions in general and the scaling of companions it is competitive for season4!

➡️ This is a showcase, so you can get a grasp if this build will be in consideration for you in Season 4! It is definitely a good build and with some buffs to Werewolf lifes this could be a real BANGER BUILD in season4!

➡️ I will overhaul and update the charplaner until the start of season4 and will also bring out a real Build guide for this cool Build!

✅ Below the youtube Video is a SHOWCASE of the Build!

Youtube Showcase:

Currently there are 3 versions that I tested on the PTR:

As I didnt have that much time on ptr and not really enough materials to heavily mastercraft / temper onto one skill I had really shitty gear except some uniques that I traded.

Every Build had the Storms companion Pants:

1. Basic skill with hectic aspect and Poison Rabies with xfal and werewolf companions (heavily speced into poison)

2. Lacerate with rabies werewolf companions

3. Shred Werewolf Companion -> Left out Rabies and tried to maximize my Shred damage as also the single target of my Werewolf Companions.

So for the rabies Build I'm still considering how good/bad this build will be on season4. I test out Rabies but I think you will ultimately need xfals in the late game! The good thing about is you can trade xfal now so maybe not that big of a deal.

for The lacerate Build I dont know guys, I still think it needs some kind of buffs, maybe It will get better when I invest heavy into it in season4 but with my limited play time on ptr it doesnt felt that good.

Also You still need flickerstep for constant reset as the new INNER BEAST paragon node is really bad, it maybe even be weaker then before the patch because you will get less Spirit cost reduction and the stacks needed to reset 5 cdr are just to high.

the 3. and Shred Build felt really amazing. It was just so much fun ravaging around the pit and unleash your werewolf onto your enemies and kill them off with your shred, so this Build was the most fun out of the 3 and I think with some more gear built into it, this will be a real Banger build, at it is really fast paced with shred and your Problem with single target gets solved trough your werewolf companions!

So What I have to say?

I really enjoyed playing the 3 version of this build and I will 100% play this build in season4 and gonna bring a real Build guide for you guys and keep you updated!

I think all 3 variants will have huge potential to be really good builds, and if Blizzard will buff the Werewolf life we will be in a really good position!

I will also bring out a LVL Guide for the werewolf companion / Rabies with season4 arriving!

So have fun with the video :)

Boulder Druid, Distant vs Close

Hi guys!Druid newbie here. I am desperatly waiting for season 4. I am definitly gonna rock a boulder druid in season 4. Not the broken boulder druid we see on PTR (looks kinda lame and i expect it to be fixed), but the fun boulder druid with dolmen stone. Idk somehow running a ball lighting sorc season 2 makes me crave cool thinks orbiting around me.

HOWEVER

I have not been able to find a satisfying answer for the following question: Is the distance the enemies are hit by my dolmen boulders considered close or distant?

The answer to this actually impacts my masterbrain theorycrafting a lot!

Also do you prefer shred or poison creeper for source of poison? Or is poison not needed at all?

Thx a lot guys!

Best Druid build WITH any/all uber-unique gear?

My "friend's" build absolutely kills everything in t100, but often gets one-shot, unlike this friend's Necro and Barb who are nigh invincible. My friend's druid build has capped armor and resistances. What build would you recommend? Uber's are no object. Thanks for any input ... for my friend.

How exactly do tornados work?

Can someone please clue me in on this? a) How many tornados can I cast per second? How do I calculate that? b) How long do tornados exist? Until it hits an enemy? Or a specific amount of time? c) Stormchasers: Okay, seeks out enemy. For how long? What if there is no enemy close by? Answers on these questions would be appreciated!! 🙂

Shred PTR status?

For those who participated in the PTR, how are Shred based builds looking? Any major changes or just your thoughts on it? I haven't played for a while but am looking to come back and thinking Shred sounds fun but don't want to play it if it's weak in the current meta.

What do Druids do the best?

Serious question because I honestly see nothing. What is the end goal of the class' design? What niche is it supposed to fill that can't be filled by another class?

Summoner class(zoo Druid)? Nope, that looks to be Necros moving forward.

Agile and speedy tactician(Werewolf)? Nope, that's Rogues.

Ranged dps(Elementalist Human)? Nope, that's Sorcs.

Big hitting Brawler(Werebear)? Nope, that's Barbs.

When I put serious thoughts into it, the only thing I can think of is shapeshifting. However, it seems shapeshifting will become weaker in s4 based on PTR information. What is the point of playing a class that is just a slightly worse version of a class that does it better?

Strictly Werewolf build

I'm only a casual player. Thought it would be interesting to run a Druid Werewolf only. How viable is this late game?

If I have to veer slightly off I will but trying to stay strictly to my characters canon.

He's called Ulfäkoss* due to the fact he was out hunting game for his family when he was ambushed by a wolf pack. Managed to kill 6 of them and the final one spoke to him and imbued the power of Fenrir upon him.

*(sorry to the Icelandic speakers, I understand the umlaut isn't correct)

New player; Is this build feasible?

I’m new to the game since it came to gamepass and have no prior Diablo knowledge. I’m not sure how deep into the end game I’ll get and mostly just want to play the game the way I want to play it. How feasible do you think it would be to not use a basic skill on druid while primarily using a skill that requires spirit?

I’d love to play a build with all 3 companion skills, lightning storm, boulder, and cataclysm.

I would rely on the earthen might passive that has 5% lucky hit chance to restore all spirit and make every attack critical hit for 5 seconds. If you critical hit the lucky hit% goes up to 10% and it also goes up 10% if you hit immobilized enemies which is what my build will focus on.

I’d be using the aspect that grants the earthen might passive to your storm skills. So I would be using lightning storm to hopefully trigger my lucky hit to regain all my spirit. Then also using wolf boon that has 15% chance to restore 10 spirit when dealing damage. And items that give spirit regeneration and critical chance and paragon board that gives spirit regeneration on kills etc.

But basically increasing critical chance and spirit regeneration as high as possible and using earthen might to fully regain spirit without using a skill that regains spirit.

Thoughts on if this is feasible or is there a better way without changing the skills up?

Shred Druid on Bosses

Hi All, built my first shred Druid for S3 and finally got to a point where spirit management is solid and can shred everything. I’m lvl75 and still gearing up.

I just tried Varshon and got wiped pretty bad. I’m solid in helltides and NM dungeons so was hoping feel a little more solid on Varshon. I’m guessing I need to really up my armor and damage mitigation to take on bosses. Another suggestions for single target damage with Shred Druid?

How are Druids PTR?

I’ve mained a Druid every season until Helldivers 2 came out a bit ago. Since then I stopped playing. What is season 4 shaping up like for the Druid?

I saw the PTR chat a couple weeks ago.

Is the Poison landslide build the best one for level 50 druids?

I leveled UP to 50 with no particular build. I was Just playing with some skills that I found cool.

But now, I want to start trying some already stablished builds. The problem is: most of them have late game items as Basic requirements.

But, I was doing my research and found a redditor talking about this Poison landslide for mid level druids.

PTR: Does Shepherd's aspect boost Pet Alpha's rabies?

In theory, your alpha werewolves could now spread a shepherd's-super-boosted rabies (since shepherds boosts wrath skills now). Does this currently work in PTR?

Edit: additionally, does rabies have to be on your skillbar for them to spread it/get the boost?

Seeking Clarification on Blood Howl and Nighthowler Aspect

I just switched the druid I'm almost finished leveling to Maxroll's Werewolf Tornado build tonight, and I'm a little confused on an interaction that seems to be occurring. It uses Blood Howl and the Nighthowler aspect. However, when I have this equipped it seems to totally disable Blood Howl's heal. Is this intentional? Is it "you get bonus crit chance INSTEAD OF a heal," and it just doesn't actually say that anywhere? Kind of annoying if so.

Blood Howl works as the text says it should if I take the gear with Nighthowler off.
