I’m in love with the design of the MCHOSE GX87. The anodic oxidation gives it a sleek, premium look. Typing on this keyboard feels luxurious with its full CNC aluminum body. Wanna add it to my wish list!
Planning to get my 3rd board and preferably an aluminium or metal one. I know everyone would definitely go for the Tofu65 as it is more quality and well built. But I've been hearing great reviews of the Cidoo V65 as well. Here's some difference in price wise of the boards that I can find from where I live (Malaysia):
Cidoo V65- Comes with keycaps, PCB and other essentials except switches is RM490
Tofu65- Just the case is RM459. I need to find its PCB and other things separately
Your advices would be highly appreciated :)
I’ve officially fallen into the rabbit hole of keebs. Planning to get my second one after my first build.
I’m currently torn between the CIY68 and Infinity 67. Here are some difference of these 2 that made me indecisive:
CIY68
Total with shipping is around RM240
Infinity67
Which would you go for?
Does anyone know if someone has designed an alternate case for the GMMK Full? I was thinking it might be nice if I could re-home my GMMK Full in to a closed sides case.
I'm currently designing a keyboard that I intend to handwire, and there are a ton of stabilized keys since its an alice layout with a numpad. This is my first time designing a keyboard, and will be my first time handwiring, so I was wondering how to stabilize keys for this. I have the cutouts in the plate, and will make them the proper thickness, but without a PCB what will be preventing the plate mount stabs from falling out of the bottom?
Good afternoon! I purchased keychron v4, Tecsee Purple Panda Switches and keycaps. On this basis, I assembled a keyboard for myself, which I have been using for a month. I modified the keyboard as much as possible as far as I had the opportunity and skill. I made a tape mod, and also added foam between the board and switches. I also generously lubricated the stabilizers that came with the kit and tape the place of attachment of the stabilizers.
Now I decided to try laying Durock Switch Films, replacing the stock spring and lubricating the switches. A friend advised me to try TX Springs Long 67g. These springs are available in my city. Any thoughts on this upgrade? Perhaps it makes sense to take 62-75g or Long/Short spring? Has anyone tried it? I would be grateful for any thoughts.
I have one nice keyboard from Cooler Master that have switches i like and software that is nice, but its full size and that is something I can't get used too. So I wonder is there an option to create custom PCB based on components that are on this keyboard? I have some soldering experience so i think i could easly manage desoldering all components and soldering them again, but im not sure is it possible to create PCB that will be compatible.
