Were you taught Cursive in School?

Hoping to decipher text (likely in German or Polish?) on back of postcard from 1916 - can anyone help? Have also included the front of the postcard, for context

Trying to decipher this. Any guesses? Btw it’s a, most likely Serbian name.

This book is by Henry Rubin but I really don't believe that's what this says. Can someone translate please? TIA

First photo: the first name is Maria, but I can figure out her last name. I believe it starts with Ca- but can’t make out the rest.

Second photo: J ? Hernandez. Rufina P? Manuel P? ( I believe they both have the same last name.) & Claudia ? Sanchez. 

*my family is from Mexico, in case it helps.

Will you come over to the studio tomorrow afternoon or Thursday morning? You will find me still working on the Portrait of Mdme XXX which will go to the Salon on Thursday if it is finished and done.

Found a box of antique documents from my ancestors that I would love help deciphering, this is just an example, if I’m in the right place and somebody would like the challenge, there’s PLENTY more like it!

I’m doing this for a project on enslaved people in Cuba during the 1850s. There are some names I just can’t figure out, any help is greatly appreciated.

My grandfather served in ww2 for Australia and I am trying to understand his movements and what he was directly involved in but am having trouble reading much of his service record. Could anyone please transcribe the centre and bottom text? I think I can make out the dates written but not most of the text. Thank you !
