This is the best I could whip up. It's a 122mm SPG with what is apparently a D-30, judging by the slanted fume extractor thing (sorry If I'm translating this wrong, IDK how to call that part of the gun in English.).
I couldn't find a D-30 to slap onto this bad boy on the tank encyclopedia, if anyone has a D-30 made somewhere I could use it.
The turret was made from a ZSU-57-2, while the gun was taken from an SU122.
What do you guys see in this?
Don't know if it belongs here, but if nothing else it having Boris Johnson written on the back of it makes me curious, and I reckon the users here could probably enlighten me on the type of (apc?) It is.
I'm not proud of the suspension it doesn't really make sense and it's a recreation my old tank the one at the top and i don't know why it's blue, yeah.....
Inspired by the footage I found here .
Story:
The year: 1960 and Germany has "won" WW2, conditionally. Or maybe they turned communist. They however kept their entire WW2 doctrine completely intact.
A large amount of T-55s was either captured from or supplied by the USSR and their allies.
The problem:
Hetzers and Panzerjäger chassis are too obsolete for up-gunning for the cold war.
The solution:
Copy the top armor of the Hetzer and apply it to a versatile and reliable chassis and drivetrain (think Pz. 35(t)).
Meet the Panzerjäger 870(r) , equipped with a T-55 chassis and a high velocity PaK 48 105mm cannon.
To make it more cursed, the Wehrmacht engineer corps added a field modification to the tank - Rubber sheets. Because why not?
