Welcome to /r/CrystalGemRP[1] ! This is an AU of Steven's Universe, where Pink Diamond supposedly died during the rebellion on Earth. However, after the Rebellion ended, all contact from Homeworld seceded. It's over 5,000 years after the end of the Rebellion, and no gem around truly knows what happened. A group of gems are now gathering together in a temple inside a mountain. Will your gem join them?

Selenite emerges

Gem: selenite, placed above and between the eyes

Age: 5

Appearance: selenite is quite pail, a dull white, they wear a silver dress and slippers.

Past: selenite was implanted into earth for white diamond and to aid with the colonisation but before she could finish forming the gem war happened, she was never finished being made for almost 6000 years until she popped out on her own, with no objective, she roams quietly.

Personality: selenite is quite lost and sad, not much of a talker but she is friendly and kind if you get to know her, she responds badly to insults and very well to kindness but is VERY easily flustered

Graphite is small and mostly black, they wear a black sweater that puffs up near the neck, which can cover the mouth a shoulder shrug, it also has golden buttons. they also wear what appears to be puffy pants. Their hair is similar to a rubies, and their gemstone is on the back of their neck.

Sodalite

Name: Sodalite

Age: 20,000

Appearance: Her gem is a blue sphere on her back. She has blue skin with very light blue hair. Limb enhancers, but they’re very old and only for her arms. Grey shorts, with a teal star on her white shirt. She doesn’t have shoes.

Past: She was made on Homeworld, but because of a mishap she needed limb enhancers for her arms. Sodalites are aristocratic gems, so when she was sent to earth she was sent with 2 Amethysts to protect her. She spent all her time with the Amethysts all the time, developing a relationship over time. When the war started, her Amethysts were shattered by a Jasper, making Sodalite so upset that she hid in a cave for 1,000 years with the shards, trying to fix them. She closed herself off from the world with her limb enhancers, which were strong enough to stop people from coming in. She tripped and poofed, and as she poofed the Diamonds corrupted the earth. She lived, because she was poofed. She then started looking for her escape, bubbling corrupted gems on her way. She became a hunter. Now she’s found Beach City.....

Personality: Quirky, strategic, and creative.

Weapon: A big axe, blue with very sharp tips and a long string at the end that can be used like a whip.

Tourmaline Finds Her Purpose (Hopefully)

Tourmaline exited the room, looking around for any other gems. She walked down the hallway, noticing a room. “Hello? Anyone here?” ’Whose room is this?’ She walked down the hallway some more, looking for other gems. She decided to stay by the first room and wait, to see if anyone else would show up. ‘I hope I don’t get lost,’ thought Torri. She saw something on the ground and picked it up. ‘What’s that?’ It was a paper clip. ‘Oh, it bends.’ She bent it into various squiggles as she waited for a gem to show up.

Tourmaline Travels

Stepping out of her hole for the first time in years was difficult for Torri. She would rather have stayed hidden, because she hated the idea of working for anyone. Torri had heard a noise, and investigated. It sounded like voices. Had the diamonds realized she never left the kindetgarten? Would they shatter her? Torri ran for hours, finally stopping at a mountain that seemed to have a cave “It’ll be just like my hole,” thought Torri. She discovered that it was nothing like her hole in the ground. It was the Temple, but she didn’t know that yet.

Tourmaline (Torri)

Hi!! Edited this.

Name: Tourmaline, but you can call me Torri!

Age: 5,872, thank you very much.

Appearance: Uhh... pretty? My gem is my lips, like instead of lips, but shaped like ‘em? Like how Jasper’s gem is her nose? Similar color, but closer to a sunset, same as my eyes. Hair is medium, short but not long, like, short but not like a boy. It’s the same color as my gem and eyes, but lighter, a little more blondish. My skin? It’s kinda peach, like a nice coral. My clothes are just default yellow ones, but I put a star where the diamond goes, just because.

Past: Not too much to say, I cane out of the ground at the same time as the others, on Earth, but I stayed in my hole after I emerged. I didn’t like the fighting, so I hid. I guess I’m a coward? I was made for yellow diamond, but that didn’t work out.

Personality: Well, I try to be humble, but I’m a little over excited about things that scare me. I tend to run away from my problems and mock others for theirs. On the rare occasion that I solve a problem, I usually just punch it in the face. I’m kinda a hot mess. I have a strange obsession with human wire, paper clips, caterpillars, and anything’s else you can bend in any way!

Weapon: I can summon a throwing star with eight points, that attaches itself to an enemy and starts spinning, cutting through it’s body. Gruesome, and doesn’t always work. If an enemy is to strong I’ll take a dagger out, but it’s just a dagger, anyone could use one.

End: Sorry, I’m new to reddit and probably messed up, but I’ll try my best.

Stalker

The gems at the temple would begin to feel an ominous presence surrounding them, shadows were seen in the edges of their vision, but when they turned to look, they were gone. A presence seemed to be following them around the hallways too. Was this a trick of the Albites? Or something more different and sinister?

Preparation

Baryte's usually organized room was full of stuff. Scrap metal, wires, shards of glass, blueprints, crystals, rubber chunks... even some human items, like a plate of spaghetti, about fifteen boots, and a hunting rifle. Baryte's golems filled the room, holding waiting for orders. "Glass rod!" called out Baryte's voice, and the golem closest to a pile of glass rods picked one up and brought it over to Baryte, who was sitting in the middle of the room, surrounded by blueprints. She took the rod from the golem and fitted it into the device in front of her. If one were to look at the blueprints, they'd see that Baryte's device was a "collapsible turret". Other devices strewn around Baryte were "gem-poofing bombs", "foreign gem detection system", "remote-surveillance drones", and "door barricades". All of these were listed as part of a project called "preparation". Whatever that was.

A Bit More Relaxation

Vanilla and Darka finished with their little party in the new hotspring, and decided to go back to there rooms when finished. Vanilla yawned, the spring making her sleepy, though Darka was unaffected.

Work and Relaxation

"And hold...." Darka was in her conjoined room, training. Or, well, stretching at least for now. She was in a vertical pose, one leg standing and the other leg 180 degrees straight up in the air, her body running parallel to that, as she took deep breaths. Vanilla was with her, copying. All the training the two had been doing as Pure was paying off, as their base forms now had a slight muscular tone to them, getting stronger.

However, that didn't mean all parties involved were happy with this. Vanilla wasn't. "Sis.... Why do we have to train?" She whined.

"I told you. We need to get stronger. In case Mantle comes. Sandy doesn't because she's a warrior gem. And Pyrite and Hematite are meant for light fighting, so Cal is stronger than us. So.... That means we need to train."

"But I'm tiiiired...." She sighed and collapsed.

"Fine. We'll take a break." Darka lowered her leg. "But we have to continue soon."

"Humph.... Oh! I know! I wanna show you a cool place!" She bounded up, grabbed Darka, and ran into the halls. Running through.... A new door had appeared, and Darka was dragged through. It seemed to be located in a cavern under Obsidian's room, filled with roots of the tree and a pool of warm water. A hot spring.

"A hot spring?" Darka freed herself and walked forwards. She removed her shoes and socks, and dipped a toe in. She smiled, finding it pleasant. She cast off the rest of her clothes and jumped in. Vanilla giggled, and followed suit. To anyone wandering the temple, there was a new door.....

R&D

The Doctor held the energized sword in his hand, testing its feel and weight. "Fascinating... You really did it this time, Doctor Gates, but..." He tossed the thing back to the lady standing there. "Socketing gems is a wast of their resources. Especially since they can create their own weapons."

The lady sighed, pulling the gem out and placing it into a containment use it. "That wasn't one of your subjects, nor the reserves. It was a corrupted gem. Since we can't really fix them..."

"The only use for them is grinding them into radiolarian fluid, or your weapons, then. I see. Though with radiolaria, I could make more Subjects...."

"Or reserves, and then we aren't much well off then." She scowled. "And on the subject of weapons... The sisters don't even have their own weapons, do they? I mean, you gave S1 that prism... Which should be mine, by the way, weapon development is my division-"

"Gem tech. I overrule you on that. I gave it to S2, but she gave it to S1 to play with. No matter.... I am still interested in seeing their powers, but..." He rubbed the back of his head. "The higher-ups made me put those limiters on them. I'm still working on getting around, but... You know."

"Yeah, those guys stopped me from bringing that sword to full power. Too dangerous they said, they only want to sell it to police forces for defense purposes against corrupted gems, don't want it in the wrong hands... Blah, blah, blah..."

"I wish they would just... Get off our cases. Anyway... Here." He pulled out a few chunks of black rock with golden wires interlaced. "S2 swiped this from those temple gems. The wires I'm not sure on yet... But the rock is amazingly great for radiolaria. I think... I'll use it soon..." He smiled, touching his coat pocket, as he began to launch into an explanation of the rock.

Matters Of Consequence

Cal sipped from her canister, fiddling with the device in front of her. She's... Been down here a lot lately. Too much important work to go up and do anything fun. And even then, what would she do? This guilt would just eat away at her... He tool got caught in the arm servo, and the whole piece fell apart, the gem sighing as she watched this. "I need better materials..." She stretched, as she defused into Hem and Py. The electric gem stayed behind to continue working, as Py ventured out, not a word shared between the two as they did so. There was no time for words, they needed this done. They began to see her while doing menial tasks, they needed to finish this work.

The flaming gem exited Ty's lab, and by extension, the temple. She flew away, to the Kindergarten, to get more metal scrap for the droid. She landed, and sipping her canister, began to look around. "Broken, rusted... Not enough left... Impure..." She mumbled, looking over the pieces and-

^^"As ^^you ^^can ^^see, ^^the ^^glassing ^^is ^^an ^^impure ^^spread, ^^so ^^the ^^gem ^^that ^^would've..." Was that a voice on the wind? Py frowned, setting down her canister and continuing forward. And walking ahead, she saw a group of people, led by... Another Pyrite...? She waved, and Py had no chance but to go up to the other gem, who was already bounding, and hugged onto Py. "Oh joy! Another Pyrite! I'm 4AJ! Who are you?"

Py was greatly embarrassed by getting randomly hugged, and pushed her counterpart off, to get a look. This one was more silvery in colour, with pump shoes, twintail hairstyle, and in a skirt/leotard combo which revealed the gem on her left thigh, and the skirt fanning out to the right and flowing down to the knee. The goldenrod gem pushed the silver one off, and frowned. "I am 2CB. And what are you..." She looked off to the side, to see the other group of humans standing there, researchers, it looked like...

"Oh, them? They're just some of the researchers I was assigned to help. They're all pretty friendly, and it's so much fun taking them around and showing how to determine what gems come from what holes... OH! You should come along!" She clasped the golden one's hands in her own, and started dragging her to a random hole. "H-here! Let's do this one!"

Our 2CB shrugged, and looked it over. Looking at 4AJ, the two began to speak in perfect unison. "When examining the size, it is consistent with Quartz figures. The glassing is perfectly composite, and spread evenly in thickness as well. This in turn, represents a gem with high energy output. As such, the gem that came from this hole is, most likely, a Citrine. " They finished at the same time, and Py was hit with another flying hug.

"Eee! That was perfect! That's why I love this planet, full of surprises, so much to see and do and so many to meet! I love it! But, nothing lasts forever, so I want to have fun while I can." She let go. "Okay, I have to go back to work, but, please, come find me sometime! Let's have fun together!" She giggled, running back over to the scientists.

Py sighed, drinking out of the canister. ...But stopped as it touched her lips. "Nothing lasts forever..." She poured the canister out, and took off. Arriving back at the temple, she quickly entered Py's lab, finding Hem. Saying not a single word, she turned the gem around, and kissed her.

"P-py... What was that for?" Hem was confused.

"...We've been spending too much time down here. Let's... Go talk with our friends, okay? This work... It isn't of greatest importance. What's important are the things around us right now. Our friends. Okay?"

Hem nodded, and the two hugged, fusing. Cal poured out all the canisters, and entered the main temple, looking for a friend.

A Hobby (RP)

Obsidian opened the latch to her room; if Perlite was to be believed, it wouldn't be too hard to find a purpose. Well, Blue Diamond called it a 'hobby' or something...

After aimlessly walking down the halls, she started to smell something nice, somshe followed the scent. It wasn't something she remembered smelling, and if she did she must've forgotten. Whatever the smell was, it brought her to the breth of Sandstone's room.

On Strength

The Doctor bustled through the hallways of the facility, heading to the room containing Subject 1. Swiping his key card, he entered the plain room, noting that the gem inside was resting on her bed, twisting a light prism in her hands. "Well, it's been a bit since I've talked with you, but I... Oh, did Subject 2 give you the prism?" He smirked at her, watching as rainbow light filtered through the contraption.

"Yeah... Sis is... Nice..." She held the prison upwards as more light filtered through into distilled chromatic beams. "Can't use it though... Seems... Dull."

"Dull...? Ah, perhaps it needs more energy?" The Doctor frowned, placing his head in his hands. Tilting slightly, he watched the colours dance enticingly. "Maybe then... Why don't you... Try powering it with your own light?"

The Subject nodded, getting up and walking to the center of the room. The prism floated in front of her, and 1 closed her eyes, her gemstone starting to glow as it's light began to filter into the prism splitting into brilliant rainbows. The light became brighter, focusing into one point, and projected a pastel rendition of S1. The Doctor gained a wide smile, watching this. "Fascinating... Well, S1.... You've seemed to have made a breakthrough."

"Sis, I'm going out to train!" Darka called into her room. It was due to her own weakness that she left them all... She needed to go and get stronger, so that if something did happen, she could protect her loves, her friends. Almost instantly, Vanilla ran forward and tackled her.

"Nope! I'm going with you if you are!" She clung tight to Darka, and didn't let go.

"Fine... But we're fusing, okay?" Darka questioned her, and Vanilla nodded, noting it was okay. The two did, and Pure Albite formed. "Alright. Let's go." The two left their room and the temple, and headed to the warp pad. They landed in a plain area, with mostly tall grasses blocking vision around. "Ah... Tch... This is pretty bad... Should really clear this place out..."

She looked around, swishing away grass with her hand, her weapon given off to Subject 2. She looked around, trying to imagine how this place looked once a while ago. "Hard to believe this used to be a battlefield... It wasn't so level before. Well, regardless, there should be some corrupted gems nearby to deal with." Albite focused, and probed around for any thoughts. She actually managed to find one, creeping around in the grass, not too far off. She dropped close to the ground, and creeped along, searching for it. Breaking into a clearing, there was a tiger-ish gem sniffing the ground.

Albite charged, but felt something on the other side of it, a yell sounded out, and the corrupted gem poofed. Standing there was Ametrine, her giant club resting across her shoulder. "Hey Albite." She waved. "What's a thinker-type like you doing out here?"

"...Same thing as you. Training."

She guffawed, a loud, boisterous laugh. "Oh, I'm not training. Chrysoprase and Kimberlite wants some o' these to run some tests on." Immediately, Pure frowned. Realizing the cause, Ametrine smirked. "Oh, don't worry, it's not, well, you know, like that. She wants to try to restore corruption without using similar data sets. But, anyway... Don't worry. I got this."

Albite growled, not impressed with her at all in the slightest. "You know, I can fight. I'm not just a strategist, not just one who fights baselessly like you."

"Sure, sure dear. But, uh, mind going somewhere else? I'd rather not see you get hurt and have to jump in to help." Her fingers raised and tittered about, dismissively waving Pure away. "Go back to your temple and just stay put there, okay?"

"That's it! You and me. One on one. No weapons. I will beat you." Pure's hands clenched into fists.

The grin on Ametrine's face widened. "Oh, go ahead. If you think you can win." She desummoned her club, and drew a fighting stance. Her aura power flared around her, light swirling around her toned muscles, delivering a stronger impact against anything that she would hit. The two gems rushed against each other, their fists clashing in a flurry.

The temple warp activated once again, and two gems came out. Ametrine, and Albite, both beaten up and out of breath, arms around each other holding one another up. The started to walk up the stairs, before giving up and deciding to sit down, resting, clear for any gem to find them...

Costume Party!

The temple was set. Black and orange streamers littered the hallways. Pumpkins and spooky ghosts were afoot as well. Signs pointed the gems towards the Albites' and Sandstone's room. And when one arrived, despite the invitation saying "gala" it was an outright party, what with the lights, and loud music. Food and drink had their own seperate table, for any gems who wished to partake in that. Darka, Vanilla, and Cal were all present already, dressed as a witch, kitsune, and mad scientist respectively. There were also a farir number of humans here as well. Perhaps some of Darka's associates? Either way, it looked to be a fun night!

Purpose Part 3

The Two descended into their rooms, Obsidian still confused of what she should do. One at the bottom, she walked over to the biggest crater in her half of the room, and laid in it.

Perlite stayed close behind at every turn, worried about her friend. Once she caught up with the midnight gem, she hugged her from behind.

"You okay?" Perlite questioned, putting her face at the others elevation.

It looked like, for a second, that she was going to tell her something. She hesitated though, her body plunging itself deeper into the pool of boiling water. The purple one returned the hug reluctantly, before sinking into that too. Finally, she surrendered to the airy one's soft embrace and comforting presence.

"I feel lost." She admitted. "Blue Diamond has just told me that it may be impossible to return to Homeworld and live as we used to again."

As a rebel, this comforted her greatly, knowing that she wasn't under the watchful eye of the diamonds; however, she could understand why a loyalist would find this upsetting.

"I-I don't have a purpose anymore..." She cradled her head wither her hand, and looked as if on the verge of tears.

The cloudy one hugged her friend closer, hushing her as she squeezed tighter.

"You can find a new one. I have some books you could read."

Perlite picked her up, all water that got on either of their bodies evaporating in moments. Once they made their way up the stairs, she presented 'her' books to Obsidian. The gem, in turn, nodded. She looked through the books, not really certain if anything would catch her eye; she decided to read them all to see if anything was interesting enough. Perlite smiled, just watching her friend looking through the books she collected. She'd decided that now wasn't the greatest time to confess to her.

Seeking

"Hey S2, how you doing?" Darka smiled meekly at the other grey gem, sitting down at the barracks table. "Everything pulling through okay?" Her head inclined slightly, giving the mental gem a slight nod. "Good.... Good! Hey, um..." Darka brushed her hair back. "You ever... Think about leaving?"

Subject 2 frowned, meeting her gaze. "You know I can't. But... Yes. I do." She said nothing more on the matter.

"A-alright. I was just thinking... I... I left Sandstone and Sis behind. I left everyone behind. What must they think of me?"

Subject 2 shifted slightly, guilt settling in to her. She was the one sent to retrieve Darka after all, so that the Doctor could give her the ultimatum. But yet, she stayed silent, her emotions mostly hidden by her mask and shifted her gaze away.

"They... Probably all hate me, right? I left them, without a word to where I was going. So they must hate me..." She brought her hands up and pressed them together. "I-I tell myself that, because it's easier to believe that... B-because, even I'm doing this for them, if they hate me, then they won't want to see me, and I don't want to see them!"

Despite her best attempts to divert her attention elsewhere, the armoured gem was unable to do so. Especially when tear droplets began to splatter on the table. Her expression remained unchanged, her fists clenched, shaking. Mantle... Was an opportunity to help the world. Help people. But this was... Suddenly, she knew what to do. Suddenly, she rose, standing up. "Darka." Her tone was clear, concise, cutting through the mind-bending gem. "I'm going on a mission soon. I WILL return. Wait for me. I WILL fix this." Quickly, she left, leaving Darka to wipe her eyes and wonder.

The warp pad activated, and a grey gem stepped out. But she was not the one accustomed to the temple, even though she held her umbrella.

Shaking

Sandstone held her fists tight. No matter what she did, she couldn't stop the thoughts constantly coming into her head. Nothing felt fine, and her imagination was flying wild with ideas about Darka's whereabouts. She squeezed her fists tighter. Her shaking seemed to calm down a bit, and she entered Blue's room.

Cameras

Baryte mounted another camera on the wall, this one watching the ballroom. Four down, a lot more to go. She turned to her small army of golems and grabbed a camera out of the nearest one's arms, then turned and walked out the door, headed to her next location...

{Location Unknown}

Darka walked through the halls of the lab, umbrella tucked underneath her arm, hands occupied by a capsule. Twisting it around, and capturing it in the light allowed her to see through the glass, to the small, non-thinking gem inside. "Such a small one... Well, it was all I could pull, so it'll have to do." She reached a door, pulling out a key card and swiping it across the scanner, gaining access to the depths of Mantle's labs. She counted the doors on the right side, getting to the fifth before pushing it open. Inside, a man sat at a table, working intently on a computer. Darka cleared her throat. "Um... I got another one." She walked forwards, and placed it on the desk. The man smiled, and picked it up, examining it.

"Thank you. This will do." He nodded quite curtly, before sending his computer to sleep mode. "I do have another assignment, but first-"

He was cut off by Subject 2, who walked into the room. She was carrying a processor herself, and passed it on the table, when Darka noticed that she had quite the bit of battle damage on her armour. "Corrupted gems giving you a run, huh?" She commented, looking a bit sullen. She moved her umbrella into her hands, and held it out to the steel gray gem.

Subject 2 looked between Darka and the Doctor, asking a silent question. The Doctor simply nodded, and waved a hand, dismissing her. Subject 2 brightened, before she hugged the Albite, and grabbed the umbrella, holding it close. Murmuring a thanks, she quickly left the room, and the Doctor sighed. "Sometimes... It's important to give her her own possessions to look after." He frowned, and rubbed the inside of his jacket.

Darka scoffed, turning to look at the pictures the scientist held in his office. "What, that level of anonymity is okay with you?" She examined close a ripped photograph, one that only showed the foolish man, though it was clear there was supposed to be someone next to him. "What's the deal with this picture, anyway?"

"The control devices were never my idea. They were simply implemented to keep the bigwigs happy. Even though they asked for replacements for humans, it seems they actually meant that they wanted bloody robots." He let out a grunt of disapproval as the monochrome gem checked the photographs, and brushed some lint from his jacket's insides. "That one... It's a picture of me, and the woman I love. Except... I keep her closer."

Darka pointed accusingly. "It's in your jacket pocket, Doctor Weston. It's where your hand goes when you get bothered."

"Harumph. Yes. So it is. Well, enough with the foolish questions and accusations. Now, about your next assignment..."

Curiosity [part 2] (RP)

In her trek for more books to read, she came across an odd room. The first portion was circular, made of some sort of sandy-coloured brick, a kitchen, and a very large bed. It transitioned into an almost chess-like room, the pieces of the boards seeming to be paintings of gems she didn't recognize scattered about. There was a bed in there too, as well as racks of clothing and cloth.

Looking around for a bit, she eventually found a few cook books and a book about the human body. She took them, and read them in place, floating where she'd originally found them.

Curiosity

Perlite floated through the outside of the temple, looking for a certain room. After a bit of trying to find the path again, and she found what she was looking for. A huge room full of shelves of all kinds. Scrolls, books, any type of information storage they had at the time of building.

With a good few minutes of just miring the library passed, she began her true search for knowledge. More accurate human anatomy, cooking, physics, pneumatic devices, everything she could find. She was in there until the sunrise of the very next morning, and decided to take a few of the books she found particularly interesting. Using her hair, she shapeshifted a pouch to put them in, one at a time, delicately.

She got back into the temple, and chanced a gaze towards a set of double doors down a small flight of stairs. Taking mental note, she first went down into her shared room, and up into her personal temple, setting the books down behind a wall. In front of this wall was a small slab for her to sit on, and another slab of cloud for her to set items upon. A chest laid close by it. On her way back out, she banged her foot on a small table in front of the stair steps down her little temple, and continued her descent down after that slight interruption.

She looked into the room down the flight of stairs, entering what she assumed to be some sort of mechanic's room, though no-one was present. She looked at the screens on the walls, and saw hexadecimal, but wasn't versed in how to decipher it. Not seeing how anything could go wrong, she went down the first hallway.

She didn't see much but random tech an scraps in this room, so she just brushed it off, and went to the centre hallway. Looking around, she found some random furniture, what looked to be some sort of screen, and, something that caught her eye, something that looked like a shelf near the back of the room, close to a black door.

*What she found were odd triangular prisms, some being blue, but the rest were grey, or some off grey variant. Picking one up, she looked at it aimlessly for a bit before twisting the head. When this happened, she read the text that was written, which was a bit hard, as it didn't match up with how she remembered gemic to be, but it was decipherable. She took a random assortment of them, once again handleijg them with care, and traversing back to the shop part of the room to check for any more of these block things.

It took her until going into a part of the room behind a cage that she could find more of these prisms, though they weren't the only particular things there. She saw some sort of tall, lanky robot clad in red armour, and another, less descript robot laying around, harder to tell that it was there due to being covered with more metal.

The ones she found seemed to have some sort of label on them. She picked up one, which had the name Zircon on it, and another, which had the name Calcite on it. She picked through a few more, finding Pyrite and Hematite, but decided that she shouldn't go through more, as she was already carrying quite a bit.

And so, she went back into her room, and back up the temple, reading through all that she could. Before she knew it, days had passed since she'd made the trek outside for information. Putting down a book, and putting a bookmark in it, she egressed from her portion of her room slowly, and not even a few seconds after, her friend noticed her.

"Hey"

Hang Fire

Galena had finished another cigarette, extinguishing the butt on an ashtray on her table. Looking into her packet, she examined what was left in the box.

"Quater gone." She mumbled, sighing after thinking about how much she'd already wasted, and the fact that she'd need to get some money somehow, or conserve her smokes for especially stressful days, instead of bouts of extreme boredom.

Thinking of all the time she'd wasted just thinking, she kicked herself back into a wall all too intentionally hard. The impact, however, didn't jog her mind, or give her any ideas at all. Looking at all of the hair billowing beside her head... maybe she could grow it out? Might look good.

...

She must've been really bored to be thinking about her hair of all things. She needed some better way to pass he time in this temple. What really kept her from leaving, though?

She caught herself before getting lost in that train of though, and directed herself in a direction that would better allow her to entertain herself somehow. Perhaps she could create some elaborate plan that'd get quite the ride out of her little plaything? Seeing Penn get scared over and over might be funny to watch, but it'd be better to get a rise out of someone else... Maybe the Albites, but if what she heard about them was true, might not be the best idea...

It'd probably be easier just to gem watch up in the high branches of the core, see what they do and how she could interfere to her own, if slightly shallow and very fleeting enjoyment.

Feeling the need to fight with something, she took out her balisong and began flipping it, still letting her mind wander. It was still kind of weird to her that the best person to tease was Penn; no-one else could react as animatedly, nor were they as good at making her laugh. There had to be more than that, maybe she'd need to find more reactive gems in the temple, or maybe it wasn't possible. Maybe she needed to investigate this further...

"Ow."

Galena looked at the knife embedded into her finger, and pulled it out. She was too engrossed her her thoughts to continue fidgeting with the knife, though. Now was time for planning something big, but she'd have to explore the temple a bit before she could start planning.
