ABOUT /r/CREATIONGIFS

This is where you'll find time-lapsed gifs documenting the creation of artwork.

The idea for /r/CreationGifs sprung from /r/PhotoshopBattles, where it is not uncommon for participants to post a creation gif to show the working steps behind the artwork.

Creation Gifs are meant to provide a quick overview of the steps that go into creating an artwork. They are not meant to be full-fledged tutorials; instead of posting something like this, you can simply post a comment and ask how it's done.

Meta questions about the artwork (e.g. how to create an effect) are welcome within the respective threads, or as a self-post tagged with [Request].

Time-lapsed gifs for the creation of artwork in any medium are welcome (painting, drawing, sculpting, etc.)—it's not restricted to Photoshop or digital art.

1. Only post direct links to a reputable image host (e.g. .gif or .gifv links to Imgur/Gfycat/etc).

2. Please give OP credit! Either the link title or the comment section should give credit to the OP or the source of the gif.

3. Please tag your own work as [OC]. X-posted content is fine, but let us know if you're linking to your original content—Reddit loves OC!

4. Use the NSFW tag generously!!! Boobies and gore are fine, but please give viewers a heads-up.

5. Inappropriate/irrelevant content may be removed at the mods' discretion.
