How long to cycle new tank?

Okay guys I got a new tank setup for my new friend. Its a 10gal (for now/) with filter and aerator. It still feels a little baron so I do anticipate adding more hidey spots for him in the future.

I have added Aqueon Shrimp Tank Plus as well as Aqueon Shrimp Essentials to get it started and PH levels are reading around 7.4 and Temp is sitting at about 75⁰F. I am as novice as it gets when it comes to crawfish, this is my first one and I want to make sure this little guy lives a good life so please let me know what else I need to do before adding him in. I don't know how happy he is in his tub of rocks and rain water, I doubt he is, I want to get him out and into a nice home ASAP. Thanks in advance, this sub has been so helpful and friendly πŸ™

Yabby that hates greens & eats junk food only :/

Hello all I'm new here, I have a yabby I found under a roadside drainpipe and it absolutely hates vegetables and fruit which is odd as they are mainly "green eaters" but this one prefers cheese & various meats (cooked only) and yesterday my neighbour decided to feed it chocolate which it also ate... it's survived the chocolate and is now eating some "Red Rooster" πŸ”πŸ˜… (similar to KFC)

His name is "Bait"

Is color bad in a tank?

I don't have any crayfish yet, but I'm planning on getting one relatively soon! I was watching youtube videos on how to care for them (and reading! my only source of info isn't youtube don't worry lol) and one video mentioned that colorful substrate, plants, or decorations stress crayfish out. Is this true? I'm not even sure how they perceive color, honestly. I'm a big fan of fun or silly(safe) decorations, but I'm much more interested in creating an inviting and comfortable environment for my little guy or gal

A few questions from a first-timer

Heya. I'm fairly new to this crayfish scene. I've done my research the best I could for a long time now, and a week ago i've gotten my lad Giygas. (A juvenile electric blue procambarus alleni). I've made sure to give him a fairly spacious tank in my room, and the only other inhabitants in it are two small amano shrimp and a few nerite snails (none of which he seems to mind).

https://preview.redd.it/v5p01rtzi3yc1.jpg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b7182d926f2cfdc4e0219eafe8f19d8145f350be

On his first day he seemed relatively fine, surprisingly more active than what i've heard most other crayfish would be like on their first day... though of course for the past week now he's been hiding in his little spot in that single corner, even at night, immediately moving to try and hide if I come into view at all... He's even dug himself an even more elusive hiding spot under a rock... I know this is normal, and that hopefully with time he'll grow used to me, but I am still quite worried that i might not do it right and as a result i'll never get to see the lil' guy.

you can see giygas hidin' under that rock there. he dug that lil spot himself.

Oh, and as a note, I've made sure to keep the lights dim because I heard they prefer that while they're getting used to everything. They're only brighter in these images so i could take the photos.
So, here are my questions:

-Should I provide an actual hiding-cave for him rather than that lil spot between the lifted part of the log and the dragonstone i tried to put together? Should i maybe put *multiple* hiding caves around spots in the tank so he feels inclined to explore?

-Is there anything I can do to perhaps try and have him be less scared of me with time? perhaps even friendlier? I'm curious about the steps and the timeframes at which i should be doing things...

-Are there any tips you guys would have that aren't often brought up?

Initially I've been a little nervous to ask for help myself here, but I look forward to being part of this scene, and help would be greatly appreciated. thank you all, and I hope you guys are having a good day.

Will these hatch?!?

I have a 55gal with a bunch of fish and only 1 Crayfish. She was acting very skittish for a day and then had these when I got home from work today. Do I have to worry about more crayfish?

Why is my little dwarf crayfish walking around with her tail curled lately?

Is she unhappy or hurt?

Potted plants

So my little Burnt loves plants and she would climb, eat, destroy or carry them around from time to time, so I like to get her more plants as enrichment.

I've always planted them in soil and cover them with rocks, but I was wondering if it would be dangerous to put the entire pot in? The pots come with this white cotton-like which retains the moisture, and I'm concerned whether she will eat them or not.

This picture is the tank with the pots, though after the picture I removed them and planted things to be safe.

Hi! Can i have multiple dwarf crayfish in a 10 gallon?

I’ve been researching into getting dwarf crayfish, and this is one question i haven’t gotten a solid answer to. Will they kill each other? Also, what kinds of plants do you recommend to make them happiest?

Light harmful tp crayfish?

I just got a crayfish and put it in a tank which I had added driftwood to, however the driftwood released tannis which darkened the water, and I can't see my crayfish as well as I could in the pet store, so I put a 25 watt lamp and while it does look nice but Im worried it may harm the crayfish and I couldnt find a definitive answer, so will the light harm it or can I keep it?

How to feed crayfish with loose substrate?

Hello all! I got a white specter crayfish a few days ago, along with some crab/crayfish pellets to feed it with. Problem is that my substrate is large pebbles, so the pellets will float down and fall between the pebbles... I tried feeding him a portion of a carrot, but it just seemed to scare him...

what can I do? ):

Crayfish got poisoning

I was using fumigator fogging the roaches inside the house. I didn't turn off the air glow system. Within one hour I noticed all crayfish's turned upside down.

All 4 were not molding at the time I believe. So they must be positioned. Without thinking much, I took them out of water, and treat them with anti-bacteria. They began to move slowly but still struggling. Hopefully they all survive
