Yesterday, I created this lovely pendant featuring my favorite sunflowers. For this piece, I used silk ribbons, threads, and beads. 🌻✨

Struggling with an Image Transfer project.

So I started a little image transfer project that was originally meant to be an Xmas gift. I'm taking an image I slapped together on MS Paint, and printing it out on paper, using a Matte Medium Acrylic product as a transfer solution, and putting it onto a wood panel.

I can get the image to transfer with no real issues, but where Im struggling is getting the paper to come off without ruining the finished image. I keep having parts of the image fail when rubbing the paper off. I've tried different Matte medium products, but getting the same issue.

Just to be clear, here are the materials in full:

- Laser printed image onto printer paper, as available from a Staples printing department
- Wood is MDF, sanded smooth to touch.
-Wood is painted with an Acrylic paint, and left for minimum 12 hrs, and have tried as long as 3-4 days before trying the transfer. Have used 2 brands of paint with no change.
- Used a Fluid Matte medium Acrylic Extender/Primer from Liquitex and Golden as the transfer solution.

I've tried leaving the image to set for anywhere from 5 min to 2-3 days after apply the solution and setting the image onto the wood. When I wet the paper to and start gently running the paper to remove it, eventually somewhere it fails and part of the image rubs off revealing the painted surface underneath. Its super frustrating because I cant figure what I need to do to prevent this, because it doesn't happen consistently, and areas where it doesn't fail look perfect when I get all the paper residue off.

I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions to get the image to not fail. Do I need to not use an acrylic paint as the base? Is MDF not a good wood for this kind of craft? Any help would be appreciated. This has gone on for weeks now.
