Avocado Mattress owners - what’s the firmness scale?

Avocado Organic 11" Hybrid Mattress According to description, it says 5/10 but the reviews claims is 7/10.

Looking into replacing my Kirkland Sterns and Foster but 5/10 just seems too soft for my linking.

Creamy polenta with roasted vegetables. Delicious!

Veggies were broccoli, red and yellow peppers, onions, butternut squash. This and a rotisserie chicken cost $15 and was dinner for 2 adults for 2 nights.

Disappointed with Kirkland Dried Mangos on East Coast

https://preview.redd.it/ajvx012ojzzd1.jpg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0cf4f1459b1c16948f367ec8bd1fb28c5dce61c9

The dried mangos from the SF Bay Area Costcos are moist and plump. I moved to Virginia and find the same mangos here are very dry and pale. I had high hopes that I'd find the same quality across all Costcos. BTW the pic is one found on the web and is not reflective of the quality.

What happens to an unopened TV that is returned? Does it go back on the floor to be sold?

Hello all

I have a question, what happens to a closed tv bought from costco.ca and returned unopened at costco warehouse?

Does the tv go back on the floor to be sold since its not open?

Is Costco generally less crowded as evening approaches?

I'm retired. And I was lucky enough to have a job with flexible hours. So I've always gone to Costco on weekdays, mid afternoon, to avoid the biggest crowds. Never go on weekends. And learned the hard way, avoid the place altogether after the first week of December.

I was shocked to pull into my local Costco last Monday, 2:30pm, and the parking lot was at capacity. I've only seen that once before... I went Christmas week 4-5 years ago, and regretted even entering the parking lot. I immediately decided not to go inside, and it still took 25 minutes just to get out of the gridlocked parking lot. Monday wasn't quite that bad, but even the most remote spaces were filled.

So now I'm wondering, what are the least crowded times? I'm not seeking unrealistically empty, don't mind some checkout lines, etc. Just trying to avoid mobs. And wondering if, maybe it's not quite so busy around dinner time.

These are $370 on the official store and $250 6 months ago at Costco! Saw this last one with a bonkers sale and grabbed it.

Feedback on Nugget Ice Makers at Costco

Hi All, two nuggest ice makers are on sale at Costco right now.

  • Fridgedaire Gallery Nugget Ice Maker, $169.99 after $30 off

  • GE Profile Opal 2.0 Nugget Ice Maker, $419.99 after $150 off

I bought the Fridgedaire model about 6 months ago and it just stopped working. Good news is this is where Costco's return policy comes in handy. I love having the nugget ice, but I also don't want to abuse the Costco policy if the Fridgedaire is a known poor quality product. Not sure if the GE is any better.

Any input and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have a love-hate relationship with Costco

I love Costco but it hates me because my total is ALWAYS more than $350 😭😭😭

For context, all of that is just for 2 adults. (No pets or kids... Yet). I DON'T EVEN GET GAS FROM THERE. Why do I do this to myself. 😭

All the single ladies (and gents/other). How do you freeze for later?

Beef, chicken, seafood, and pork. Do you cook first then freeze? Freeze raw? What do you use? A sealer, just plastic bags, something else?

Unfortunately, I don't have room for a separate freezer right now, but I think it still worth filling the freezer I have with bulk purchased meat.

Anyone used the heated gloves for skiing?

Curious about water resistance, quality, etc. I’d likely go up a size to use with glove liners. $99 seems like a pretty good deal particularly with the electric warmers.

Why would I bake it if I can throw it on my Weber with some lump charcoal and applewood chunks?

Can someone convince me to stay working here?

I started in the deli in the beginning of October and it has been a complete nightmare. I am writing this on my lunch break and feel like I’m gonna have a heart attack. It was supposed to be a part time job and I am getting 40 hour weeks, all closing shift. I’m not as mad about the 5 day work weeks as I am that I have to close every single time. My whole department leaves me with 6 foot high piles of dishes, trash everywhere, and all the food supplies still out. I am legally required a second 15 minute break but as soon as I get back from my lunch I work non stop the last three hours while my other coworkers take their 15. My first scheduled shift to not close yesterday, my supervisor didn’t have anyone to close so we had to end production early and I ended up closing again. Is this the norm for new workers there? Everyone says seniority gets priority in schedule. There is time and a half on Sunday’s and I haven’t been put on a single shift that day. I am already so burnt out. I joined this job to get the amazing benefits people talk about but it’s after 90 days and I don’t know if I can take much more. Does it get better? Any tips on how to make it work?

In search of a product my dad got me at a kid. "Aussie Pies"

No, not the ones in the Australian food courts. (Those do look incredible and appeal to my American sensibilities of portable meat treats!)

So this is a long shot but even if somebody just remembers them is a good enough for me so I know I'm not crazy.

About 2 decades ago when I was a growing preteen my dad would get the goods from costco for me since he worked nights and I spent a lot of time taking care of myself (and my friends haha!) We would get you know like the frozen cheese burgers or big as* snacks, pallet jack of eggs, you know how it goes~ but there was one that I freaking LOVED they were called "Aussie Pies" had a koala dressed as your stereotypical Steve Irwin and crocodile dundee love child imagery, mostly green and white box and they were basically Empanada shaped but bigger and I think the inside was cheese burger? Definitely meat and cheese or something. But the flake on them was INCREDIBLE especially for a microwave food!

I enjoyed 2 or 3 summers of tho then they were just gone and I don't mean moved on from costco gone like, gone gone. Like they never freaking existed! I searched everywhere! Near and far the furthest scapes of the internet, learned hand Pies are popular in Australia and it just muddled my search. Every few years or so I get the gumption to search again and I think one time about 6-7 years ago I finally did come across a picture of the box at least somewhere but it was so detteriated that opening it was just pixels mostly so I couldn't confirm if it was the same or even where they were. Well with out getting too in the sad's about it, I recently finally got my own membership card but unfortunately my father isn't here to share it with me anymore, but thinking about all that got me thinking of the Aussie Pies again and my never ending search for that scorching filling inside a firm, but buttery flakey exterior that felt so big in my Lil preteen hands.

If anybody know where to find it, alternatives or more importantly even remembers them please let me know! It would just be nice to know I'm not in an alternate costco reality or something.

If you like eggplant Parmesan, grab ‘em while you can!

This is at the Torrance Costco. Was going to get one, but ended up getting three so I can stash them in my freezer.

Does Costco ever have ground chicken?

Of course the website is no help. Just feeling it out if it’s a once in a while thing I’ve never seen on my trips or if they just don’t offer it. Thanks y’all!
