Cornwall is the southern-most county located in the southwestern region of England, known for its rugged coastline, rolling hills, and quaint seaside villages.
The county has a rich and diverse history, dating back to the ancient, monolithic civilisations that once inhabited our shores, and it remains a popular destination for tourists from around the world.

I'm legit interested to see how people see our local language. It's around us and they teach it in primary schools, but I don't often hear people speaking Kernewek
I'm from Cornwall but live in Brighton. My dad lives in Cornwall and was taken into hospital on Thursday after suffering a stroke. I'm not driving so need to get the train to Truro and get to the hospital from there. Can anyone advise how to get from the station to the hospital? Is there a bus, and does it run on Sundays? Also do I need cash? Thank you!

See you all later!
(PS Don’t panic! We’ve got a place on a holiday park. Cornwall is our favourite)
Milk farmers thoughts, please?
Hey everyone! I was just wondering if anyone knew if there had been an open air event in Camelford on Halloween that had been advertised but then cancelled?
I feel like I'm losing my mind because someone I know tells me with their whole chest that there was an event planned, music and everything over at the skatepark area. They said they even went over but then realised it had been cancelled. But I can't find anything anywhere online and wondered if maybe it had only been advertised in Camelford itself? I didn't see anything advertised beforehand either and I was looking for events for our children in our town and others close by.
Please help, I am getting old but I'm not ready to be senile just yet. But if I am going senile I need to prepare. Thank you for your time.
Hi all. Looking for any good reccomemdations for markets to pick up some second hand stuff. Ideally nearish Falmouth. Looking for a bed, bedside table, dining room table ect. Don't wanna IKEA and trying to avoid Gumtree.
I am mortified about Flambards closing down, solely because this museum holds a special special place in my heart. I kept meaning to go for the last few years, but I have no friends lol and life has been hectic. I really badly wanted to at least take my girl when she comes over from Canada next Easter, but now I've missed my chance of ever going again ;(. I am holding on to laughably false hope that the museum survives or gets moved or something? Maybe even Flambards decides to give it another shot??? Even though I know it's obviously turning into a housing estate... and I know Flambards has been falling apart for many years now...
Is there anything we humans can do??? Does anyone know anything hopeful? I know I am living in fantasy world, feel free to give me the honest truth. I know. So mortified ;((((( </3 </3
Gave me a giggle on a dreary morning commute! Absolutely correct as well!
Looking for personal recommendations! We’ll be buying our first and only home and we’re looking for a mortgage broker who will work with us - someone we can trust - so please let me know if you’ve had a good experience with someone.
Can anyone recommend any good value places for food or food deals on in Falmouth at the moment? Thinking of heading over with some friends for the Saturday of the Festive Weekend and want to find somewhere better than Spoons for dinner but not super posh or pricey. I thought with the student population there must be some good value places or regular promotions on in term time but I just don't know it well enough. Thanks
Alright pards?
Me and the Mrs are spending a weekend in Falmouth for our anniversary at the end of the month. We spend a lot of time in Fowey as that's where all our fams are from but never really go anywhere else in Cornwall.
What are the must do things in Falmouth? Stuff liks walks / galleries / shops and of course cafes / restaurants / boozers.
Thanks in advance x
Since most of them are at inaccessible times. Mid cornwall location
Hey guys, bit of an odd one.
How reliable is the public transport system between Redruth and Falmouth? I want to know how reliable it is full time as I'll need to be there five days a week (excluding Sundays). I'm very familiar w the rail journey as used to volunteer at the maritime museum, but my mum drove me some mornings and collected me most evenings. Currently guessing there's a rail card and lots of early mornings in my future but it should be doable otherwise. Any non drivers that can chime in?
Hi all.
I have just moved to Falmouth to start a new job in the University and would be nice to get involved in a bit of football. Does anyone here know of any 5 or 7 a side in the Falmouth or Penryn area? I am alright but no pro so just looking a weekly kickabout, nothing too serious. If anyone plays or knows give me a shout.
31 year old guy by the way, if that matters.
Cheers
Hi all, i live in Gunnislake and have been looking on all the job sites i can find looking for an outdoor job or an apprenticeship in something like ranger, horticulture, forestry or gardening. But having no luck as there literally zero apprenticeships atm and the jobs need a full drivers licence which i do not have.
So now i'm going to try volunteering until i pass my driving test. Can you recommend some companies and places i can email that are in a 5 mile radius of Gunnislake?
Thank youuuu!
So a week ago, I found a dead and pretty big rat in the attic. There was a huge swarm of blowflies up there too which I figured had maggoted from said rat. 🤢 Put some humane traps up there and nabbed these two little critters in one day. There’s a third one up there now from last night. I think the bottom one in the pic is a wood mouse … but I can’t tell what the top one is … baby rat or vole/similar? Anyone know their Kernow-Rodents well?
Watercolour painting on A3 watercolour paper. It's taken me 2 weeks so far
Hello! I'm looking for a little guidance or suggestions on local radio channels I could access by app in the States. I would love to listen to local radio in real time. BBC sounds is telling me many of the programs I'm trying to listen to aren't accessible outsoutside of the UK. I can get the Cornwall station after digging through the app but it seems like programming that has already aired. Thank you for your help!
