I was driving by a board shop and saw a bunch of tents set up in the parking lot, so decided to stop in and got to meet a legend
Just wondering if anyone has found a better way to find if music has been used in a part before that is slightly more reliable than asking one of your film nerd homies?
I mean damn start of blauvelts career / tk bringing the opener temp check of mean streets as the focus / Eddie wall ikka jp stevie just making statements. Rodeo lightpost tap up to the parking lot. '06 work was being done where posts didn't exist.
Some heavy matchups. What are your predictions?
Hey~I'm hoping it's okay to post this here! I'm a Sports Product Design student at the University of Oregon and I'm collecting images of wear/tear marks on the top/front of snowboard boots for my thesis project. Specifically, damage from holding your board while riding on the lift. Included are images of what I'm describing. I'm looking to zone the wear/tear and collect any images from fellow snowboarders, so if this is you, I have a form where you can submit photos: https://oregon.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_e9yfkpRpCnkZmPI
I will eventually begin the process of pinpointing women's snowboard boot aesthetic... Any suggestions? Anything you hate currently?
Anyways, sleep deprived stressed masters student appreciates you, thanks:)
Some friends and I got out and built a booter on these old avalanche stopper mounds. Not a ton of tricks were landed but it was still a good day. Friends in nature building the stoke... what it's all about

Last Resort with Stan is back and glorious as always. What snowboarding needs more of.
(I am terrible at formatting on Reddit so sorry for the lack of embedding)
For those of you who haven't seen it: here's the latest video.
I grew up in SoCal and get the scene, but it's such a weird microcosm. The jibbing is super tech, but then the style is sooooooooo.... "unique" lol.
Then you have Whistler kids like these guys who have solid rail skills as well, but, I'm guessing, they can also handle big mountain terrain and larger park hits.
Just wondering what y'all's take is on Bear and the hesher style.
I mean, maybe it's the same as it always was - Brushie at Summit w/dreads comes to mind. Maybe I'm just getting old. idk. just such a style there.
A historical piece

Anybody else have their feed polluted with the Japanese buttering content?
This is literally just ski ballet and it was lame AF then also.
On top of that every feature in their parks is on the S/M size and hey I love riding it as much as the next guy. It’s just not making my A footy.
Not sure if anybody from Japan can chime and wtf is going on with the snowboard culture over there lol.
Listening to the Bomb Hole group chat #7 when Sam Taxwood calls out front butters as being played out.
I'm all for it. It's like a method where everybody has their unique style on it and see it like a nice clean kickflip or treflip on the roll away of a skate clip. Not to mention it just feels great to do. What do you all think?
Me and my buddy Stevo had a day that reminded us why we love this sport so much. Pure Fucking Magic.
Thanks for inviting me here its much better than rsnowboarding, i love the noah avi too

This is not necessarily a recommendation to do so lol - but he recently posted one again for the first time in about a year... just a wacky dude =P. Almost seems therapeutic for him to ramble on, and he obviously did some wild shit during a wild time of snowboarding so I'm down to listen I guess. Entertaining, but also ridiculous! Glad he's potentially doing better than it sounds like he was.
Seems like a good time to send out a note and potentially get some input regarding this sub and what folks want it to be.
First off, we whipped this spot up last winter as kind of a kneejerk (almost circlejerk) response to a lot of insanely wack content, rampant kookery, and just plain nasty rhetoric that was/is so pervasive in the main snowboarding sub. I had a chance to briefly chat with a friend and mod there who noted that it was a lot different type of landscape back when it was only like 5k members haha (1.5mil or something now). Anyway, I think the direction could be as simple as that - a place for people that are actually into snowboarding and everything that has contributed to our enjoyment in it. Things seem to have already taken shape that way organically, but maybe there is some facilitation that is warranted. Let me know your thoughts.
That kinda leads to an additional quick point; I'm genuinely a fan of snow/skate culture and a user of reddit. When it comes to mod stuff here, I'd love to add a couple of folks that have that same interest in what we've got going on and might also be nice with the reddit and/or programming skills. Shoot me or u/DogFacedGhost message.
Got to shoot the homie Blaise at Hood in ‘22 while filming their Midlife Crisis part. Great edits if you want to get stoked on riding with your squad. The Blaise revival is wild.
I browse through /r/snowboarding and I'm constantly disappointed when I scroll through the comments of posts.
If there's a sick clip of some guy sending it, but he's missing a helmet, that's all people comment on.
Recently a post about tree riding was filled with people complaining about the rider being in the "dangerous trees" and Sonny Bono'ing himself.
Another guy makes a joke post riffing on the snowboarder= crime people meme and posts the classic fingers up with his fam, and the comments are full of offended people who are terminally online.
/r/snowboarding is an example of what happens when we don't gatekeep.
