A simple sentence I made for a conlang.

So, I created a new conlang to try out some phonological features to see how they sound. Below, I made a sample sentence to test it out.

The stress falls on the rightmost heavy syllable (any syllable with a long vowel) in the word. If all syllables in a word are light, then the penultimate syllable is stressed.

Duba tepe, watutaa gaaxu timine linii kenee pukadee.

/'du.ba 'te.pe wa.tu.'tɑː 'gɑː.xu ti.'mi.ne li'niː kɛ.'neː pu.ka.'deː/

"One day, I will build you a big house that we can live in."

Can someone make an audio file of some one pronouncing my language?

I do a pretty bad job of making sound natural or even good, so help would be awesome :)

Quick Sample sentence

Okay, so I just started a conlang, and I want to be able to get the feel for it. Thanks!

The sentence below translates to "The man goes to the store to buy fruit."

['ⁿd͡ʒi.ma na.kʷo.'ⁿd͡ʒʷo rʲi.'ta.ban 'sa.ᵐbʲek̚ ŋap̚]

Small Requests Thread Changes

From my observations, the pinned request threads have mostly caused the visibility of the requests to decrease. From this point forward, all requests will be full posts, and the biweekly thread will be discontinued. Thanks y'all!

Biweekly Small Request Thread

This thread will be posted biweekly as a place to hold small (1-2 sentence) requests for others to speak your conlang. A longer passage should be flaired as a Request.

Top-level comments should always be requests. Replies can be any type of feedback or question about the request.

What to include in a request:

  • IPA (Don't forget to include stress!)
  • Any information about the voice you'd ideally like. Do you want a deep and powerful voice, or a light and flowing one? Do you not care? Information like that is not mandatory, but may be a useful thing for others to know.

Thing to remember: Be patient

Someone will help you with your request, but it may take a while. Wait a few weeks before requesting the same audio again.

A request in Saaxin

یا ماون ۊڵپال أملغر. Romanization: Yaa maawn ooľapaal 'aamlghar Ipa: /ja: mau:n o:ljəpa:l ?a:mlghər/

Because I don't have an IPA keyboard, ? = glottal stop, lgh = velarized voiced alveolar lateral, and r = voiced alveolar flap
