Hi i have a question. I want to have my ps5 connected to monitor and tv but i would also like pc connected to monitor as well. The monitor only has one HDMI port. I want them all connected without constantly unplugging and moving cables around . What device or devices would help me achieve this? I know there are HDMI spitters and switches , do I need both of these or just one ?
Me (Xbox Series S) and my friend (PS4) are trying to figure out what games we can play together. We wanted to play the first Ark game, but neither of us receive the invite when we send it. I assume it’s impossible to play Ark in particular since we have different generation consoles, but does anyone have any suggestions so we can play it? If not, that’s fine. And does anyone have any suggestions for cross-gen games that would work? We can play Minecraft, but that gets boring over time. Thanks!
The Jackal PDW just got nerfed in Black Ops 6, and it's no longer the top dog. The C9 is now the best weapon, especially with how strong aim assist is on controllers. I just dropped a video with gameplay and tips on how to dominate with the C9. Check it out and let me know what you think!
I have a few switch controller and it we remotes I want them to work on all different consoles for instance I wanna play with my ps5 remote on my Xbox 360 I know I need an adapter but I only have around a 10 to play with can anyone help cheers.
I've been using a Dell S2721DGFA for the last 3 years for both Xbox Series X 120hz gaming and work, connected to my Mac mini on 144hz. Recently, my second monitor, a 4-year-old 1080p Ultragear 144Hz, broke after 10,000 hours of use. I’ve been searching for a replacement for the past week.
I'm considering upgrading to a second 1440p monitor to avoid the hassle of window resizing when moving between the two monitors. Initially, I thought about getting a more affordable QHD 144Hz monitor, like the UltraGear 27GR75Q, which costs around €250. However, I’m also contemplating upgrading to an HDMI 2.1 LG UltraGear 27GR83Q-B as my primary monitor and using the Dell as the secondary. The 27GR83Q-B is currently discounted by €100, bringing its price to €399.
There aren’t many reviews on the new UltraGear, but RTINGS mentions that it can downscale 4K signals, making them look better than native 1440p. Given that I don’t plan to upgrade to a PC anytime soon, I’m concerned that getting a 240Hz monitor might be a waste of money.
My main question is: how much better would downscaled 4K look compared to native 1440p?
My Dell monitor also supports VRR and FreeSync, so the downscaled 4K feature seems to be the only significant advantage of upgrading.
HDR isn’t a major factor for me, as the LG supports HDR400, which isn’t highly regarded.
Is there anything else I’d be gaining with HDMI 2.1 over HDMI 2.0 on my current Dell?
Hi everyone, I am a PhD student studying Human-Computer Interaction at University College London. If you're going to be playing a game on your console (or any other device, including smartphone, laptop or PC) after work then I would really appreciate you taking my survey (see the link below). By taking part, you will also have the opportunity to win a £50 voucher for a gaming store of your choice (or Amazon).
Hey guys and gals, hope all is well and that you are having a great start on your weekends :)
Long story short: I am in the research stages for a project that I have been working on for a long time. Without giving too much away, I am leading a project to develop a gaming related platform that will (if everything goes as planned) stomp every single option there currently is on the market.
We do however need to do research, and it would be so greatly appreciated if you could take 5 minutes of your day to help us answer some questions relating to gaming community platforms and gaming habits.
You can find the survey here: https://forms.gle/9mwR2KV5b4kMnk2g6
It is 100% anonymous and there's no need to even login to Google to answer it. There are 18 questions and 15 of them are required. The last 3 which are open-ended are not required but of course deeply appreciated if you share your insight on those as well.
It means a lot to me and, if everything goes as planned, it will mean a lot to many communities out there as well.
Happy Friday!
From the current situation, it can be seen that companies put more effort into remastered games than creating new ones, which spoils the situation and hinders development…
Hello. I currently own a ps4 and ps5. My fiancé and I are wanting to start playing a game with our friends on pc. They have the ability to load in on Xbox also.
At the moment my fiancé and I play rust. We enjoy it because he gets to raid/defend, pvp, and farm. I on the other hand really enjoy the base upkeep, farming, organizing, and just vibing since I’m trash with a controller when it comes to shooting. We tried ark but it’s just too in depth for us and don’t find as much enjoyment from it and get a little overwhelmed.
After all that, I was wondering if there are any similar games that you could recommend that is cross platform so we all could enjoy. I would really hate to go out and purchase 2 Xbox just to play one game.
Please take this survey to help me answer my research question about video game characters as a fellow video game enthusiast. You get to design your own video game character!
Almost finished the demo, ready to get full game, found a good deal on a EU import but not sure if it would work for a demo made on a US account.
I've tried several brands and multiple models within these brands. I cannot find a wireless headset for PS5 that connects wirelessly to PSN chat with noise canceling and deep bass. I really enjoy the bass in the Sennheiser RS 175. Anyone with suggestions? I've tried Pulse 3D, SS, TB, Audeze, Astro, and a couple others that I do not remember the brand.
Hey there! I just got a PS5 and I've started noticing a lot of small graphical issues on some games. Like textures glitching a bit when you point them with the light on The Last Of Us Remastered (Ps4), low draw distances for shadows on Gran Turismo 7 and weird shadows on GTA V plus a TON of pop in. For some cases I've looked for footage of other people playing and I've seen they look to be normal. I just want to learn to tell apart from a failing GPU to bad optimization and graphical glitches.
I've shown these issues to people who know more than me and they always say it's software related, but I have an OCD with these things and I just keep thinking it could be GPU related. They're not game breaking and they're far away from artifacting. Just wanted to know how do you tell apart? I tested Black Ops Cold War today and the game looks gorgeous, maybe a small pop in with shadows when entering a room but nothing too noticeable, and gave The Last Of Us Part 1 (PS5 remake) and it looks okay too. So is it common for every modern game to come with some graphic nuances like these I described?

Just curious. Personally I do the latter, and it resulted in my ps5 disc drive ending up broken because Sony hid an important screw in the stand.
So I have both but want to sell one. I bought a XSX when it first came out then later bought PS5 for the exclusives and with the plan to migrate, rebuy and restart my xbox games (including mainly Back4Blood) over completely to ps5. That was until I tried the PS5 and didn't like the DualSense, the shape just doesn't agree with my hands and it couldn't hold a candle up to the Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller.
Now in the last year a third party controller came out for PS5 called Victrix Pro BFG that is shaped like a Xbox controller. So this might be the solution although it has mixed reviews everywhere I've looked so I'm skeptical. I might order it and try anyway, if I have any issues then return within 30 days. I'd expect the build quality to be less than Elite Series 2 controller, which is fine, but I'm reading stuff about stickdrift, dongle not working, terrible support, etc. so I don't know.
The other problem is I still want to be able to hop on to some Xbox console exclusives every few months, mainly Sea of Thieves and Left 4 Dead (for nostalgia). I love online co-op, PvE-centric games. I have a PC but I just don't like gaming on it, I use to hardcore game on PC but I'm past that point now and just want a controller community that's slightly more casual. However the PS SP exclusives backlog and future exclusives blow Xbox out of the water. I don't even want to list the exclusives on PS I'm planning to play, there's too many (Naughty Dog Studio, Santa Monica Studio, Sucker Punch, etc. etc.). I've looked hard and there's nothing coming to Xbox exclusively that I'm excited for (at least for a good 4 years I estimate), I'd purely hold onto Xbox for past exclusives and the Elite Series 2 controller but those are 2 very good reasons to hold onto it.
Less of an issue but I'm also worried about the quickmatching on PS5. I'd want to play with crossplay off to avoid the Xbox community which I sometimes found slightly more toxic, younger, novice than other platforms. But I feel like with B4B, in particular, no longer being developed you'd basically be forced to have crossplay on to find a match (I don't want to play with bots) so in that case I may as well stay on Xbox anyway but keep PS5 for exclusives? I just don't want to own two $1000+ (after the accessories and games) pieces of videogaming equipment at this stage of my life, it feels very wasteful, space consuming, unminimalistic and unfocused. At least until I have a kid or something, then I'd have an excuse to have that many videogames again.
Thoughts?
My stepson wants a new (ish) console so that he can enjoy playing PlayStation games. He has a good-sized collection of PS1, PS2, and PS3 games. He’s tired of going to the used game store and getting games that do not work. I have tried to explain to him that a PS4 or PS5 will not play his disk-based games but he is autistic as well as developmentally disabled and doesn’t get it.
With Christmas coming up, I don’t mind spending a couple hundred dollars on a new console but he has asked for a PS4 rather than a PS5. Are there still games available for PS4? I think he asked for a PS4 because he has the first three models of PlayStation and he is kind of a completest when it comes to collections.
When he “plays” a game, he typically either puts the game in demo mode or spends his time making characters. He has fun doing that and I certainly don’t object to him playing with it that way but I guess I’m wondering if there are good games that he can play. He likes either fighting games or sports games.
Hi everyone, I (f24) have been into videogames ever since we got our PSone in 2003/2004. Now, I live in a country where money is very difficult to come by and I have only started working at a decent-paying company this past August.
Growing up, we had PSone, PS2 and an Xbox 360. I have always wanted to own a PS3 and a PS4... But could never afford one. And now there's PS5 as well.
I wanted to get a PS3 slim first and then work my way up to PS4 and PS5 especially since I believe games will become much cheaper by the time I could afford either of those consoles.
The thing is, there are some console-specific games that I'd like to play... Can anyone help me make a final decision? Thanks!
If you had to choose ONE graphic quality & FPS combo setting to play all games at forever, what would it be?
I'm curious to see what people will compromise at when it comes to FPS vs Graphics Quality on games if they had to make one choice. Obviously it depends on the genre/ game but if you were stuck at ONE setup forever... :)
