Spotted at Conestoga is the most active Conestoga student-run community, and the mod team there is fantastic. Highly recommended.

I keep getting conflicting answers about what Pre-Health Adv courses count towards the Paramedic course. I've been told that only math, chem, and bio count, then those plus comm, and all of them count. Anyone actually know what grades count towards the paramedic program?
This will probably get deleted or I’ll get banned for speaking the truth, Not really education related but can Guelph campus CLEAN THE F***ING BATHROOMS?! The smell and cleanliness of the guelph campus is insane,
I’ve been at this campus 4 years now and the middle door in the bathroom stalls by the cafeteria has been broken with no lock the whole time and there has been the excact same pile of paper towel crumpled in the corner for two years now. Is no one going to do anything?
First, one ways are one ways. Don't drive against the lane. Second, coming off campus, I don't care how much of a hurry you are to get home or wherever you are going. Don't pull up next to a bike in the lane. It's illegal, rude, dangerous, and can cause you other problems. Just in hopes that somebody that needs to see this does.
Conestoga College's Student Association has recently sent out an email to all of their part-time students telling them that they are now enrolled in the health plan and need to pay them $360. They chose to do this after the opt-out period so that students can't get their money back. This is an absolutely ridiculous money grab, and it goes against their policy. At the start of the year I confirmed with CSI that part-time students don't have to be enrolled in the health plan, and they said that was correct and it is also written on their website. After pointing this out to CSI representatives I was told that "the website isn't updated yet". It's been over a month and I've yet to see them add their so called "new policy" to the website. They can't just change their policy halfway through the semester, that's not how this works. All fees had to be disclosed at the beginning of the semester. Please let me know if this is happening to anyone else, we need to get them to remove the charges from everyone's accounts because this is ridiculous.
Hello, I was looking into culinary education for someone else and I saw the culinary management (coop) course and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this course and if so what does it look like what are the courses that you take, do you feel like you are learning what you signed up for? Is it more culinary or more management or a fair split? Also the same for the one year culinary course with coop (that’s a really short time to learn what you need?
If you or anyone you know is coming into a CS related program I have a laptop I am looking to sell that has carried me into the third year of the BCS program and is still going strong.

Hi! guys, I'm a prospective undergraduate student and want to connect with someone from the software engineering program for advice. I'm particularly interested in learning more about:
1]how the program prepares you for the industry.
2] campus life, student organization, and resources available to students.
If anyone is willing to share their experience, please feel free to message me up!
Thanks in advance!
Hey all, Posting this for my partner. He applied for osap on a full time basis and got approved. However some of his classes were in conflict/full so he couldn't get into all the classes and has to do them next semester. Osap then cancelled his funding and he had to start a new part time application. He completed the part time application and they asked for supporting documents. Those were submitted then they asked for a transcript from his prior institution which he had to request and wait to recieve. However when he got a hold of it and went to submit it, it said the deadline was now passed. FAO confirmed this as well. Now the tuition is outstanding. Is there anything that we can do? It seems grant application are closed as well for this semester. If we apply for next semester are we able to get the tuition covered for this semester as well? This is so stressful. Any advice would be helpful.
I took another program before where I took 1 elective and passed, but I ended up leaving that program. I’m now almost done a new program and have gotten 2 more electives which means I now have enough to graduate. It says however that in semester 4 of the program I’m in that another elective is included in the tuition is there a way for me to remove it and get some money back?
Thank you
Did anyone notice 2 people absolutely going to town on each other in a really irksome way today at around 5:40 pm at the doon campus by door 6? They were really going at it and I was one of the unfortunate bysandar that got caught in the cross fire of some way way way too intense of a PDA session. If anyone else saw this please comment as I feel I need to scrub an entire layer of my skin off in the tub now. (P.s. The moaning could be heard from across the glass windows...)

Hi! I am interested in taking the MLA/T program possibly in the future here. I’m wondering if anyone has any input on the program so far. I can’t seem to find too much feedback on it .
I am looking at the speed Spanish course and was wondering what people thought of it? I am already in a fast track program, would the course load be too much? Is it worth the $197 x3 or would I be better off taking Spanish I - IV instead?
Does anyone know if it's possible to rent headphones from the school library? I forgot mine at home
Thinking about going into policing or similar career, not 100% sure yet what I want to do but I can myself being happy working in that field or similar. I've gone to Fanshawe for a 2 year carpentry & renovation program, I do still enjoy trades but I don't want to end up still working trades when my body is giving out when I'm older. Having a better paying and more secure job with a pension sounds nice...
I was looking at the police foundations program at Conestoga, program seems fun but I've heard that its better to go into a social work or different degree for going into policing, some people have even recommended doing a paramedic program and then you could go into either job after.
What do you think of Conestoga as a school on its own and any thoughts on the policing career path?
Hello fellow students,
Just a reminder that Sunday, November 10th is the last day to drop a course without academic penalty (for most courses). Verify course-specific deadlines in the Student Portal on the "My Courses" tab.
Hi! Im looking into the Bachelor Of Design program, what careers have people gone into who did this program?

Hey guys I applied for the RN program here and was hoping to get in because it’s close to my home. I’m worried that due to the reputation of the college and how it’s a diploma mill for many programs that I’ll have trouble finding a job after graduating. Does anyone have any insight on this?
Anyone here in Business online courses? The 2 year diploma? Is there actual clases to attend? Is it a good program?
Going through the programs and find myself a little confused on what program exactly is for becoming an RN. I assume it's a specific program, but I'm getting conflicting and multiple "answers" in searches. Anyone know what program it is?
I don’t have a parking pass and I have a class at 4pm and I heard that parking is free after 4pm. How closely is the parking lot being monitored at 3:50 ?
Does anyone go to the Conestoga Doon campus gym? If so how is it, best times to go. Advice :)
