Hey everyone I would like to read something which is similar to True Detective Season 1. I would love to get some recommendations.
This time I was commissioned to make a Deadpool + Harley Quinn board & I love how their colours go together! What do you think? Thankyou for the support on all my past boards ❤️💙
Got around £200 to spend on comics, what do you recommend. Thinking maybe sandman hc but have listened to the 3 audible books that are out so I know most of the story. Maybe Geoff johns green lantern. Other options, hellbalzer omni and Gotham central. I’ve read:
Invincible Preacher Swamp thing Y the last man Locke and key
Really just want suggestions and to see what people think, decent amount so can buy omnis and full collections
I was gonna post a bigger rambley post, but for real, have any of you actually read of the IC books?
I just read what was available on Webtoons, maybe a bit of the spin off featuring one of the villains and that's it. Definitely not the best thing I've ever read, but I don't regret reading it for the most part.
The creator of it has been advertising it quite a bit over the past 4 years to, yet NONE of the books have even a 1 star rating on stuff like "League of Comic Critics".
It just boggles the mind, does the creator focus more on social media than actually getting the book out there, or what? I'm just amazed that apparently he had a storefront JUST to sell his books, where did he get the money for that?
Obviously the Stan Lee stuff hasn't aged well so where would I start reading Spider-man? Gerry Conway? Or maybe a little before him. Are there certain issues of the Stan Lee run that are required reading?
infinity is a comic i read years ago because i was interested in stories that inspired the MCU movies. i didn’t like it. but recently i read the start of hickmans marvel saga. including fantastic four and FF. and secret warriors. so my question is, does INFINITY get better in context of the whole saga. i’ve heard similar things for secret wars. like as a standalone event it’s good. but in the context of the saga it’s incredible. i just hope i like infinity more this time around.
My collection progress ft furry friend
Anyone wanna help a brother out with East of West Year 2?🥲
Hi,
What are y'alls thoughts on Lemire's Black Hammer? I really enjoyed his Moon Knight Run
I see it on Humble Bundle and debating on buying it.
Not a flame, it is just any book with his art is such a turnoff I have trouble reading the book, I just hate his art so much!
For some contrast here are some artists I love....Jamal Campbell, Kevin Maguire, Phil Jimenez, and Bryan Hitch just to name a few
Hello everyone
Just wondering what a omnibus is
Is a omnibus just a bunch of issues into one big book with same author
And hard cover is just a more expensive version of a regular issue
For example the all in Batman
If there was a omnibus about the all in Batman It will have Batman 153 to what ever number the it ends on
And omnibus will have all the all in Batman into one big book
Sorry to disturb. I once read a comic when I was young, I read it in 2008-2009. I don't remember its name, sorry! These are some of my memories of this comic:
-The protagonist is a girl, and the story is about fantasy and adventure.
-It is a European/American comic with full-color, and I believe it must be a teen comic. I remember one of the cover illustration is protagonist standing naked in a jungle background. And not only the cover illustration, there are some scenes of the protagonist wearing revealing clothes often appears in the story too.
-The protagonist and her companions formed a team of different races. I remember that besides the protagonist, there is also a tall and strong dog headed character (A), and a character who has a slender body and head like a tree branch with a bamboo hat(B), he is not a human btw. His arm can tear open, and there is a futuristic looking laser gun hidden inside. (Of course, there must be other characters, but I don't remember.) Besides that, it seems that everyone has a colored stone symbolizing some power/identity.
-There is a scene where the protagonist conveys information to other stone owners through her stone(Including A and B.)When B is contacted, he is floating cross legged on the water surface at night.
-There is also a scene where B suddenly extends his right arm and shoots someone with the laser gun hidden in his arm. His behavior angers A. A beats him hard and even crushes the laser gun in his arm. Then the protagonist comes out to stop them and condemns their infighting, but B appears to have been seriously injured.
-The ending scene is (I'm not sure this is the final end of the story or a partial end, sorry.) after experiencing an adventure, the protagonist team achieves their goal. The protagonist stands on the deck of a fantasy flying ship, looking up and smiling, with the wind blowing on her face and hair.
I have been searching for this comic for many years and I really want to find it. If you have any clues, please let me know. Thank you in advance for any help you have provided!
Basically title I was searching up where to buy the last ronin and saw the major spoiler at the end, do I still purchase the comic and following comics?
What are some good questions I can ask for comic book trivia. Specifically Marvel and DC related? Noting too hard. What would you ask?
Hi all, I am new superhero reader, I dont really like/care for the over the top stuff, but right now I am loving the more mysterious / noir, dont care about the superhero.
Personally I was blow away after reading Jeph Loeb + Tim Sale works on Batman with the Long Halloween, Dark victory, When in Rome (Dark victory was the one I enjoyed less but still Tim Sale drawing are a 10/10)
Other comic I enjoyed was: Batman Night Cries, albeit I prefer longer stories
Other stories I read but I didnt enjoy that much:
Stories I loved but arent related to this
Right now I am reading Hawkeye by Matt Fraction and David Aja, enjoying it but the fact the episodes arent related (at least so far) is a bit of a bummer, seems like it's was better to experience it in a single issues format
