SOS: Media Research Help Badly Needed!

Hello! Me and some fellow third year journalism students are currently revisioning our media research paper entitles "Writing for Advocacy: A Content Analysis into the Environmental Analysis and Action of Environment Themed Articles." Our methodology is a quantitative content analysis. But our professor downed the idea of using the agenda setting theory and the framing theory as our theoretical framework (which supports our statement of the problem).

Desperately begging for help, what are the possible theories we can use that is applicable to our research? Thank you in adavance! TT

HELPP

I totally screwed up and I couldn't get my final research paper in by the deadline. It was my sister's wedding this weekend, I was a bridesmaid, and I'm taking all asych classes this semester.... So it's literally all on me. There's still one week left in the semester and the professor is pretty chill, but you have to email him at least two days before to request an extension. I need help writing an email him 😭😭 This is what chatGPT came up with lol but I think it might come off too formal

Dear [Professor's Name],

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to request an extension for submitting my final thematic paper. I understand the importance of meeting deadlines, and I apologize for any inconvenience my request may cause.

Due to my sister's wedding, where I served as a bridesmaid, I fell behind in my coursework. While I acknowledge that personal events are not excuses for missed deadlines, I am committed to completing all my assignments and ensuring the quality of my work.

I am currently taking all asynchronous classes this semester, and the simultaneous deadlines for final papers have made it challenging for me to keep up. I had three papers due today, and I am nearly finished with the remaining one, including the thematic paper for your class. I understand your syllabus states that emails for extensions are due by the Friday before, and I apologize for reaching out very late at such a busy time of the year.

I kindly ask for a oneβ€”or two-day extension to finalize and submit my thematic paper. I am dedicated to producing a comprehensive and well-researched paper that meets the assignment's requirements.

Thank you for considering my request. I appreciate your understanding and assistance.

Study tip 108. Tips to use when you have too many subjects πŸ“šπŸ€―β¬‡οΈ

So, when you're trying to tackle a bunch of different subjects all at once, it can feel pretty overwhelming. We've got some tips that might make things easier for you!

  1. Prioritize ⬆️: First off, figure out which subjects are the most important or the trickiest for you. Those are the ones you'll want to focus on first.

  2. Plan πŸ“: Next, make a schedule for yourself. Set aside specific times to work on each subject, and use a timer to help you stick to your plan.

  3. Pomodoro ⏲️: Instead of trying to cram everything into one long study session, break it up into smaller chunks. Study for like 25 or 30 minutes at a time, then take a short break before diving back in.

  4. Active recall πŸ“‹: When you're studying, try to be really active with the material. That means things like making flashcards, summarizing what you're learning, or even teaching it to someone else.

  5. Declutter πŸ“΅: To really concentrate, find a quiet spot to study and turn off any distractions like your phone or social media.

  6. Practice πŸ“: For subjects like math or science, practice solving problems to really get the hang of things.

  7. Spaced repetition πŸ”„: It's also important to review what you've learned every now and then to make sure it sticks.

  8. Self-care πŸ₯—: And hey, don't forget to take care of yourself! Make sure you're getting enough sleep, eating well, and taking breaks to recharge.

Stay organized by keeping track of what you've covered and what's still left to study.

And if you're really struggling with something, don't be afraid to ask for help from your teacher, a tutor, or a friend.

Just remember, the key is to stay focused and make the most of your study time. And feel free to tweak these tips to fit your own style. Good luck with your studying!

How to Make AI Content Undetectable

Remember about indicators that signal your text can be AI-created:

  1. Predictable words and sentence structures. Don't use words like "leverage" and "dive into". Add more human language and more active sentences. Avoid passive voice.

  2. Lack of transitions. Use more natural transitions between sentences.

  3. No personal experiences. AI doesn't have real-world experiences to use it in the text. Don't be afraid to add some personal anecdotes or emotions.

  4. Neutral tone. AI text is often written in a formal academic tone. But you can use better prompts to make ai-generated essays more human-like.

  5. No deep expertise. We can write more deeply.

So, how to make AI texts undetectable?

--> Use a variety of sentence structures and vocabulary. It helps your reader stay interested.

--> Use not only basic information. Add your own insights and analysis.

--> Double-check your citations.

--> You can use paraphrasing tools but be attentive. They can create very awkward sentences.

--> Proofread to avoid "machine" mistakes.
