This is a subreddit primarily for Indian region.
Discussion regarding the potential collapse of global civilization, defined as a significant decrease in human population and/or political/economic/social complexity over a considerable area, for an extended time. We seek to deepen our understanding of collapse while providing mutual support, not to document every detail of our demise.

The situation is existential in nature. Roads buckle around 55C and above, buildings start melting, airports melt, air conditioning doesn't work above a certain temperature and most people in india do not even have AC.
How will india even survive in 10 years? We rely on monsoons to provide water for crops and for consumption but hotter weather will delay monsoons and make them more severe and also shorter in duration.
Any one active here ?
i think its time to start hoarding stuff.... food, medicines etc.
Anyone on the same thought process ?
If we don’t talk, we won’t know, and we can’t plan.
As the world hurtles into an unplanned reactive collapse, calls for eternal positivity and faith in yet-to-be-invented technologies, are precluding necessary planning and preparation. Join us as we #TalkCollapse and set the ground work for taking realistic and meaningful action commensurate with the severity of our predicament. REGISTRATION
Feels like I am the only one online, anyone else here?
‘Dangerous’ is a word we use in our petition to celebrity climate scientist, Professor Michael E Mann. Mann is calling for social media censorship of citizens, journalists and academics concerned with the severity of our climate-ecological predicament and collapse. By signing this petition, you help raise awareness of this dangerous stance by Mann, and exert pressure on those supporting Mann’s call for censorship. Read our short blog for more details: https://justcollapse.org/2022/01/24/dangerous-call-for-censorship
Ur content will be surely good we are waiting for Ur diary Thnx 😊
I'm located in Delhi. I live in a decent area, so I do not expect stuff like civil unrest etcetera. However I have been hearing chatter that the city of Delhi might be locked down in order to prevent the spread of the virus. The metro and DTC buses might be shut down. Even if it does not happen, I am definitely self quarantining for the next 15 days.
My question is, how do I prepare for something like this?
List of things I have bought so far:
Food:
Rice, Dal, Beans, Kala Chana and roasted chana. Roasted Chana can be consumed directly and black gram can be soaked in water overnight for a filling meal.
A large tray of eggs for protein.
Biscuits.
Instant noodles for when I want something spicy.
Almonds
Non Food:
Lots of soap. Gotta wash me hands.
Basic medication - Itch guard, Moov/Volini, Paracetamol, Pudin Hara, Gelusil/Digene
Matchsticks and candles for if the power goes out.
What else do I need? Somethings I am thinking of buying:
Batteries. For my trimmer. Not an urgent need but IDK.
Razorblades. Useful for more than just shaving.
What are the chances of a power failure? I own an induction based cooktop. Should I get a kerosene stove and some kerosene just to be safe?

I'm trying to make a more close knit community. I found Telegram as a good anonymous medium where we could get more real time updates and notifications in comparison to reddit where small posts and communities like us gets suppressed by other more popular subreddits and posts.
Any content you post here please post on the Telegram and vice versa.
