The Scientist or Clocks?
Moon Music doesn't hit the same
I find some songs that I initially enjoyed like feelslikeimfallinginlove, jupiter, good feelings to be aging poorly. They don't be hitting anymore. We Pray has already been aging like milk since it's release, but I'm finding it kinda sad that the other songs don't hit the same. Maybe it's because I overplayed the album during the first few weeks. The album was also one of my favorites from this year, but the release of Chromakopia and GNX kinda brought that down.
How do y'all feel about the album now?
TINI - she only had one line on the album version of WE PRAY so there's not much to say. But if we account for the Tini version, it's still my least favorite verse from the We Pray versions.
Ayra Starr - decent, didn't add too much to the already goofy Good Feelings
Elyanna - her verse is better than Tini's and also has a proper feature on the album version. Not a fan of the la-la-la outro
Burna Boy - has pretty well-fitting accompanying vocals in the chorus and I also like the bridge
Little Simz - easily best verse on We Pray
Jon Hopkins - no explanation needed. Bro's a legend fr
iAM from MM is mine, it’s not my favorite by any means but there’s just some so special about it!
Is this a fair assessment?
I am struggling with the fact that I can’t decided which is ..
not only my favorite Coldplay album but favorite of all time!!!

X&Y = has their best song in their discography “Fix you” in my opinion. I have a strong connection to the songs. I can vividly remember where I was when it came out. (formative years) but is it just nostalgia pulling the punches?
Viva La Vida (Prospekt’s March): The album it’s self is a masterpiece but it is also an anomaly when it comes to the other albums in my opinion cough 😷 “Brian Eno” cough 😷 I think this album is the best they have made production wise. The songs are awesome but it doesn’t give me butterflies like X&Y
HELP ME!!! PLEASE!!! 🤜🏼 🤛🏼

Here's a cover of the song that Chris played during Vegas.
Sorry but I’m still trying to like AROBTTH more

Is it crowded & do ppl push on the floor? And do ppl only on the floor get up on stage? Are there certain songs that get you onstage?
I was looking at trying to go as a treat for my daughter but neither one of us like getting pushed. I have had back surgery, learned to rewalk and have been through too much physical crap to get pushed a lot at a concert.
I'd like to try to get my daughter and I onstage but if you aren't in the floor that'll never happen, right?
Oh boy Im going to get allot of hate for this. Coldplay ARE a post britpop alt rock group but when rock music basically fell out of the mainstream in the early 2010s ( AM by the Arctic monkeys being the only exception at the time ) they switched up their sound to remain relevant just like panic at the disco, 30 seconds to mars heck even the Arctic monkeys did eventually. I'm not saying Coldplay SHOULDN'T have done this ( they had to ) but I wish they would have stuck a bit closer to their roots like they did for Mylo and EL.
Been going through a rough patch the last few months only thing that really has helped has been the new album, I know Moon Music has not been received with overwhelming praise here but to me this album in particular the extended version is up there with Ghost Stories for getting me through some tough shit.
iAAM is literally the song I am spamming at the moment the moment when the solo hits and that "back on my feet again" comes in brings me to tears nearly every time as it's what I need to hear and encourages me to keep going cause things will eventually get better.
Just wanted to thank the band as they have made two albums now that I would credit for keeping me going. Ghost Stories and Moon Music have a special place in my heart.
I am getting pair of infinity from a friend. She is attending the concert of same day with other row, so she can collect the infinity and give it to us. The infinity were purchased for a couple (Male and female) and we are also going as a couple, FYI. Will it work? or is there any identification needed?
Been a Coldplay fan since Viva. My favourites are never the hits (outside of AROBTTH), usually their closers or deep cuts. 🌈 is my most listened to track for example this time around with Karate Kid or Moon Music trailing behind and to have imo 5+ songs I LOVE (8.5+) and a pretty well rounded sonically album overall (outside of We Pray) I couldn’t be happier.
Seeing a lot of chatter about the album not having a big hit and the band on the way out of the public eye and hopefully that isn’t the case. They don’t need hits anymore they could play a 30 song concert and have the audience know most the words in 80% of the world. Solid, cohesive, album experiences where the band can express themselves as artists with the passion heard on songs like Up with the Birds, Yes, or Politik. At least that is all my opinion. I haven’t felt this excited and energized to be a fan since Mylo.
In no order
Possibly strange question, but what do you envision from the sound of each Coldplay album? Here's mine: Parachutes: Nighttime, rainy. AROBTTH: Urban area, early morning sunrise. X&Y: Dark, Blue-and-white-lit tunnel at night (i dont know how to explain it any better) VLV: Cloudless midday sunshine in a field of short grass, (with a few exceptions like Cemeteries Of London) MX: basically their music videos. on point for this album. GS: Deep, dark blue ocean. AHFOD: Somewhere above the clouds but below where you can see the curvature of earth. Everyday Life: Once again, music videos were on point, aside from daddy (i hate that i had to type that) MOTS: Deep, dark space. Possibly the best visuals. Moon Music: if you listen to tame impala you might kinda know what i am seeing
Hello! As a relatively new Coldplay fan, I've started going through each of their albums 1 by 1 starting with the Coldplay debut, Parachutes. In terms of songs I already knew from this album, surprisingly, it was only Yellow of which I was familiar with. Everything else was brand new. Well, this is how I would rank the songs!
Yellow: 9.4/10 Shiver 9.3/10 Don't Panic: 9.2/10 Spies: 8.7/10 Trouble: 8.6/10 Sparks: 8.4/10 Life Is For Living: 7.1/10 We Never Change: 6.3/10 Everything's Not Lost: 6.2/+0 High Speed: 6.1/10 Parachutes: 5.2/10
I invite any criticism and critiques of my rankings!
We are almost 2 months post album release, and as things stands, we still don’t have a single hit song coming from this album. Even Mots had at least my universe (thanks bts for making it go viral). This is probably the first time in their career that they produced a pop commercially oriented album without having any single hit coming from it (everdaylife isn’t taking into consideration because it wasn’t meant to be commercially successful).
I think this unfortunately just reflects pretty well the poor quality of the last 2 albums. And the saddest thing is that they have hired the number 1 pop hitmaker producer of all time, and yet they still haven’t managed to pull of some good pop hits. Do you guys think there is any chance of a song from the album becoming a hit? Or is it too late?
This is was pre Blue Room and I recently listen it. Damn, it sound so song and I’m so sad it’s became lost media especially come from the largest and famous band.
But since Most Mysterious Song, Alice in Wonderland song and Ulterior Motives has founded this same year ( which is amazing btw and props to those researchers ) so maybe one day we can find full version of so sad and other Coldplay’s lost medias?
