/r/claymore
A subreddit for fans of Norihiro Yagi's dark fantasy manga and anime, Claymore.
Discussions on the anime or manga are very much welcomed here.
Q. Will the anime get a reboot or a sequel?
A. Most likely not. There is little reason to believe the anime will see any new iterations. No official source has ever hinted at otherwise.
Q. Where should I pickup from if I just finished the anime?
A. Chapters 60-61 in the manga wrap up the Northern Conflict, though the anime diverges from the manga a little before that.
Q. Aw man, is the manga really over?
A. The manga has officially ended after 27 volumes.
Q. I have a super special question or theory! And I have art or other Claymore related things to post but don't know if I should...
A. Please, feel free to post all Claymore related things. Your questions, theories, and anything else are more than welcome. If you still want to screen your post, send the mods a message and we will get back to you ASAP!
Q. I have an anime subreddit! Can you post a link to it in your sidebar?
A. Message the mods! We're happy to discuss it.
Thanks!

Re-watched the anime recently and idk she just doesn’t impress me. I want to like her but she’s just kinda mid. Like what all makes her so special? Does she really deserve a higher rank than all of the other top 30 claymores? Not to mention one of her best abilities comes from another claymore’s arm????? I’ll admit I’m not super well versed on the lore so I would like to hear ya’lls opinions.
I've started reading this amazing manga some months ago, with the new edition they made. This morning, I've finished the 26 Volume, and reading this line, at the last page... [Literally, it says: Claymore New Edition 26 - will continue and end in February] ...Well, it cause me to have a mix of emotions: sadness, because it's going to end, next month, but also happiness, because it happened, and also because of all the Claymore we learned about and learned to like/love, we shared this journey with, all the characters appeared...
You know, the famous meme phrase "If [things x] is the friends we made along the way?" Well, it's a meme, but can be applied perfectly to this Manga.
i just finished this manga, loved it one of my favs now, but i'm just thinking about the events of the story for deeper analysis and meanings, what i liked and what i didnt etc. the one thing which came up in my didnt like lsit was the chest reveal, its so underwhelming, in a world where people are getting their limbs lopped on a near daily basis, getting mauled and just dying in horrible ways, a straight line scar which can easily be stitched is a huge "oh no what if they find out?" this is also true with Teresa whos relatively fine with being SA'd but the second she reveals the scar ALL the bandits who pillage and kill and have been in gory and bloody situations get all turned off?. before the reveal i thought it was some grotesque scar left over from the yoma and human amalgamation. but nah a stitched scar
I have been rereading claymore recently and I had a thought when I was reading about how Teresa could sense how the yoki in a claymore moved to predict their movements
I then thought maybe Teresa might be able to control her yoki to strengthen herself with far greater efficiency being able to use 1 unit of yoki to display 3 units of strength whereas someone else would only be able to display 1 unit of strength
but who knows maybes she is just super op and has the yoki of a abyssal one before even awakening
I recently thought about this because I was thinking about how long it took a generation to reach its limit before they died off or awakened but while looking it up I thought about male claymores since they tended to awaken more than females.
All I could find was that Isley was the last to awaken among the first generation but it never said how long that was after the first generation became claymores
We all stop asking "what if.... (Some nonsense)?" And simply enjoy and share the story and the less obvious things in it?
Hola, quien habla español y quiera crear una tier list de las claymores y despertados mas poderosos
How many claymores do you think Guts could takeout before he got stopped? where do you think he ranks among them?
especially in manga, popular manga mainly, if there are girls they are gonna be seexuallyized but this manga has monsters, tentacle monsters as well and a lot of girls but no erotic fanservice, nudity yes but it's never there for jack of material you know, its presented as natural
im just at like ch 75, but im really ,oving it so far
Was it ever mentioned what happened when they met? The fact that Ilena stayed alive meant Raphaela showed mercy even after the dialogue where she said "there's no reason to tell someone who is about to die". What do u think they talked about that made her change her mind?
What kinda merch do you guys have for Claymore besides the books and DVD set? i wanna maybe get something but not sure what
Claymore is the first manga I've read cover to cover. Really enjoyed it.
The awakened beings and abyssal ones always were crazy looking and it fun to see how they'd be. Plus, silver eyed witches swinging massive claymore swords is simply badass.
I think reading some shoddy scans with non-official translations made some of the reading a slog to get through - not sure how that affected my perception of the pacing but when Claire was out of commission it did feel a bit tedious. The constant talk about ranks and moves got old, but I do see how it is pertinent to the story. Sometimes it felt like there were too many Claymores, it was hard to keep track of who was who.
The ending battle arc was great. It was a lot more emotional than I expected. Like seriously the ending hit me hard. It's difficult to wrap up a story with so many characters but I think he did a good job. I'm glad I avoided spoilers.
Not sure what to start next. Honestly, I wanted to dive into Berserk cause I'm an OG Dark Souls player, and I heard "Claymore is Berserk but with a female lead" and Claymore is short comparatively, so I read it. I wanna give it like 7.5 out of 10? Probably higher with the official translations. I don't have other manga to compare it to but that's my gut feeling.
Thought I uploaded this before, but was gonna upload since tiktok (was) banned in the U.S. but has since been reinstated. Either way thought I’d share these old drawings
don't mind me, I'm just releasing my yoki
