Dog Trainer

Does anybody here in town have any recommendations for an affordable dog trainer? My 8 month border collie mix puppy is starting to go through like a rebellious phase. Me and my partner are running thin on patience and need help to train her. She was doing so well with the positive reinforcement and now not so much.

Window tint

Looking for a great place to get window tint. I’m not really worried about price as long as the work is worth it. Had my rear windshield replaced and it’s the only one without tint. Willing to go up to an hour outside of Clarksville if it’s worth it. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone lost or know anyone who has lost a dog?

This is not a good post. I'm just gonna cut to it. I know this is a long shot but I'm hoping someone sees this that might know the owner. On Peachers Mill heading towards Tiny Town, right outside the gas station that's under construction next to the intersection at West Creek Elementary, there's a dead dog on the sidewalk next to an orange construction sign.

Not sure what breed it is. Looks like it might be some kind of Pit mix maybe? Dark brown/black fur with some white on the chest going in a line up towards it's neck. Belly/inside of the back thighs are pale/almost white. Ears look like they're maybe floppy but I can't say for sure. Looks like a female from what I remember but I also forgot to deliberately check. It had a pink collar with silver studs/small spikes on it. I rotated the collar to see if I could find any tag on it with maybe a name or a phone number or something but the collar pulled right off when I twisted it. I guess it broke when the dog got hit and if there was an identifying tag, it fell off somewhere. I'm guessing it maybe escaped one of the back yards in one of the surrounding neighborhoods and got hit crossing the road :(

I took one single photo of it just in case the owner does happen to see this and wants to confirm if it's theirs or not. I'm obviously not gonna post it here since nobody like seeing dead dogs but I have it if needed. Sorry for the depressing post. Again, I know this is a long shot but I'm keeping fingers crossed that the owner somehow sees this whether it be directly or through someone else. I didn't know what to do with it so I left it there. As of 4:50 PM today, it's still there. It did not smell and was not miscolored or bloated so I don't think it has been dead for long. Seems recent.

Sorry again. Hopefully this helps somebody. I know if my dog got lost and I didn't know where he was, I would at least want to know what happened to him - good or bad.

Early voting lines

Anyone have any idea which location has the shortest line? I went to the election commission, and the line was halfway around the building. Anyone know if the airport or park have shorter lines?

Any Avian (Bird) vets in the area?

One of my birds currently has a blocked nostril but my planned vet (overwatch) is booked until next Friday. If you know of any that’d be great!

Places to find private driving instructors

Are there any resources besides Go Driving Academy that offer private driving classes here? They seem booked up and I'm an adult so my options are very slim.

Edit: Thank you all for the suggestions.. I'll check all of these out!

Anyone know what day/ time trains come through the old train station on 10th St?

I’d like to take my daughter to see a train go by. We heard a train horn at 1pm on Tuesday and waited the next day at the tracks by Cook’s Market but nothing came by. Anyone know the schedule at the train station on 10th?

Retro video games

Anybody have any suggestions for retro video games stores around town? I know of Game X Change over off Wilma, but that's about it. I know some of the other tabletop games stores may carry some retro stuff from time to time. I'm considering getting a GameCube, and they have plenty of options on eBay, but I'd prefer to support a local business first if possible. Thanks.

Scrapping an old nonworking car; no title or key, but it's mine.

I need to scrap a car or at least have it hauled away forever. I bought it at a shady used lot for cheap thinking disposable car, and it lasted about two days. It's far too costly to fix (needs an engine) They never sent me the title, and I have since lost the key.

Does anyone know someone who will scrap this car?

Tip Money Being Withheld..?

At my work, I've only worked there about a month now and we haven't been open long, we aren't allowed to skip the electronic tips. They don't split it among any of me or my co-workers either, which we work most of the time, my bosses work off-and-on.

We are allowed cash tips, and that's all. Even then they don't get too happy about you taking that money.

I don't enjoy getting in trouble so I'm very anxious about it ajshdahdka. Anything I can do?/Am I just dumb? Sorry had to get all of this off of my chest.

Thank you!

Bi-County Solid Waste?

Hey yall,

I recently moved to Clarksville and I’m paying for a trash service. I recently got a bill from Bi County Solid Waste for ‘user fees’, the bill doesnt explain what the fees are. Can someone let me know if its just a scam or if not, explain what this is to me?

Please and thanks!

ISO: Old Mercantile Apple cider mix

So as the title suggests, I’m in search of the cider mix that the Old Mercantile sold. The OM closed in 2020/21 to a new business. The mix was inside a ziplock bag and then packaged in a brown cardboard VHS size box with a small tag. You boiled it with a gallon or so of apple juice then strained and served hot or cold. If anyone knows the parent company or recipe, I would be so thankful this fall! 🍎
