Am I out of my mind here or can you not assign a restart schedule to multiple delivery groups?
It is weird that they restrict naming to unique names, but you cannot, as far as I can tell, create say "Region 1"restart schedule and just apply it to every DG in Region 1. I'me going through the powershell cmdlets and it just doesn't seem possible.
We're currently running Citrix on Nutanix, and we're using FSLogix for user profile management. The FSLogix profiles are stored on a Nutanix File Server share.
We're in the process of migrating everything to VMware vSAN, including Citrix and all its components. The plan is to migrate the master image as well. Similar to how it worked on Nutanix, we'll use vSAN File Share for FSLogix to store user profiles.
The issue: How can we migrate the FSLogix user profiles from the Nutanix File Server share to the new vSAN File Share?
Once the profiles are successfully migrated, we'll deploy new VDAs from the master image. The goal is for all users to seamlessly access their data, migrated from the Nutanix file server to the vSAN file server, without any loss.
Has anyone tackled a similar migration or have suggestions on how to approach this?
Hello,
I'm experiencing a strange issue, in teams meeting on vdi, shared meetings content in multiple screen setup are corrupted (shared content window is out of its designated place), when working on a single screen shared content is displayed normally without any issues. Anybody had this High DPI settings are enabled and all environment is 2402 ltsr cu1 - persistent machines. Also teams is optimized with slimcore optimization.
Hello everyone,
With one of them, I have a problem I've never seen before and I can't find any resource/solution. When the customer wants to forward an email, and he deletes his automatic signature, everything goes blank on the Citrix Outlook window. It's as if he's deleted the whole email. But if the user resizes the window, everything reappears.
I've already updated Outlook and redone the user profile.
Do you have any ideas?
** I've carried out the tests you recommended:
DPI adjustment.
Update GPU driver.
Text format modification (HTML, plain text).
Screen resolution adjustment.
I noticed that it was when deleting the signature image that the bug occurred (by deleting the text only, everything works normally).
Main track: the image in the signature
Has anyone encountered this problem before?
Should I modify the signature image to prevent this from happening again?
Are there any image formats that cause this?
10 person have this problem now !
A user recently started to have an issue where the first time they login to the MyApps page the only remote dekstop connection they have opens on its own. This only happens the first time each day per deivce. I had the uesr try to log into MyApps on a different PC for their first login today and the Remote Desktop still opened all on its own. The other PC was a Chromebook and their primary PC is a Windows Lenovo Laptop. They rarely need to use the remote desktop and the user only really needs MyApps for Epic, but they don't need to use the remote desktop to use Epic.
This is a new issue for us and the user has never seen this before. It is only happening to this user. Its been daily for about a month now. The machine User is being forced to connect to is a multi-session VM that is destrucable and is rebuilt on a new login if that matters. The VM is opening via the reciever and not in Light Mode.
I have tried:
I've been building up a new VMware farm and migrating my current stack to it. Getting down to moving Citrix. I'm a MCS user so that part should be straight forward enough. Link my new vcenter to Studio, Migrate base images, new catalog....
But how would you go about moving a VPX pair? Deploy new appliances and restore a config backup? Try and vmotion over even though Hardware versions is outdated? What's your path to success here? They're currently 13.0 so an upgrade is also due there
Thanks,
I have two Citrix Xenapp farms that are separate but on the same version (7.15) with two pairs of Netscalers in front. On both farms, a Windows user can connect with dual screens to a published desktop or term server, but on a thin client such as 10zig, the dual screens only work on one of the two farms. I am unable to figure out why it doesn’t work on both. Any ideas that could help? Thank you!
Hi there. This is probably not a Citrix/Sharefile related question, but maybe you can help.
I currently have a bunch of folders in Sharefile, named sequentially, let's say, 23.00, 24.00, 25.00, etc. I need to rename them to something specific and non-sequential, where 23.00 would become 111.26-17, 24.00 would become 115.9-73.1, etc., etc.
Is there a way to automate the renaming process, if not with Sharefile, then which utility should I use? Something I could just give a list of current numbers correlating to the proposed numbers. Thanks!
After deploying an update to Citrix Secure Access and launching our VPN link through a bookmark the browser prompts our non-admin users to download Secure Access despite already being installed.
I have deleted all the local appdata for browsers and Citrix but that appears to have no effect.
However connecting to vpn directly through Secure Access works fine.
What exactly prompts the browser to prompt a user to do a download rather then launching Secure Access that is already installed?
Thank you
Hi everyone!
I'm having issue with Citrix.
after launching apps ( such as - notepad, for example ), before logging in to the VDA server, it requests a username and password for every login.
is there any way to fix it?
I am connecting through the storefront, not Netscaler.
We've had a Citrix infrastructure built out for years now. netscaler, storefront's, ddc's, license server. we've only been using it for access to vm's. We haven't utilized vdi at all, but we want to start utilizing it in some capacity. Currently we run vsphere hypervisor, sping up dedicated user vm's (or rds boxes for multi users) and then install the vda on to those vm's and deliver them via their delivery groups. What would we need to add/do in order to start utilizing vdi? Would we stand up a server that would be used for a master image and install the vda onto that server and then create a vdi delivery gorup, and anyone in that delivery group launching a machine gets a machine rolled out for them? I feel like I'm missing something simple here.
Hello,
sometimes, when People in my Company try to copy something in Word or Excel, after pasting it, the Citrix session lags, the rtt goes from <10ms up to >3700ms. Some Seconds later the user gets disconnected.
I can recreate the problem when I use the same Excel file. It has a couple of formulas in it, which depend on the copied data.
Any ideas what I can do to fix the Problem?
Thanks in advance

I'm hoping this is a common issue that others have experienced so maybe someone can help me finally find a solution.

I try to schedule the exam 1Y0-231: Deploy and Manage CitrixADC 13 with Citrix Gateway but Pearson vue says its only available in Japanese language.
Have to contact Citrx, but their telefoon number points to Pearson vue.
Is this exam retired?
There are few use cases in which we are using different DNS names that hit the same vServer in the background. So it's like "https://abc.xxx.com" and "https://def.xxx.com" hitting the same Gateway.
Is it possible to configure SAML at IDP end, so that SP (Netscaler) can send SAML req for multiple different URLs? Maybe we can use "*.xxx.com" like a Wildcard name? Or does it need a dedicated vServer for each?
Using the Citrix Cloud DaaS
Looking to give users the ability to save files local on the computer when they are using virtual apps. Is that possible?
Can it seamlessly appear like an easy to find Downloads, Desktop, Documents?
Lastly can it be restricted so users can not upload files to Citrix servers? Text and image Clipboard is ok. No file clipboard.
Upgraded two pools to xenserver 8 after figuring out the i40e driver issues. Decided to pull the trigger on my last pool and the upgrade went fine but xencenter would not connect and no SRs were connecting. Completely different issue than last time. I've already rolled it back. Appears to be related to something wrong with xapi but just posting to see if anyone else has ran into this.
These are R740 dell servers that are very similar to the other pool I updated (R640) only difference in setup is LACP bonds and I did not update the nic firmware before the update.
When i open any textbox on Citrix my virtual keyboard starts.
I have tried these workarounds without succeeding.

Hi all, I have created on my lab a nested pool of 2 host hypervisor 8.2 CU1 a VM windows 10 and windows 11. These VMs have the problem that they cannot contact the domain controller to perform domain join. The VMs only ping their own hypervisor of which they are hosted and the hypervisor pings the gateway and domain controllers. This it does in both static and DHCP configuration (which I would not want to use, however). Both hypervisors have only a management NIC. On the Vsphere side, however, I only have a “standard” network.... Do you have any idea what tests I need to do to resolve this issue?
Just polling to see if others experience what we have been the last few weeks.
We’re based in the Western Chicagoland suburbs, our primary ISP has been MetroNet since moving to a new office in April 2024. In the time between April and November, we have experienced several instances of severe latency only within the Citrix environment. Anything on our local machines ran flawlessly, and our HQ out of Munich Germany could see from the server side that our connections had anywhere from 1-13 seconds of consistent latency. These instances could last for an hour, or a couple of days. This last instance has been going on for 3 weeks and is still happening.
Myself and my boss have the ability/willingness to take work home with us, so we login from home, Xfinity for myself, Spectrum for them, and we have no latency issues on our home networks. I went over to my salesman’s house, who has MetroNet, and the latency issues persist at his house as well.
We’ve gone through MetroNet support several times, all the hardware is working properly and well within spec.
Prior to us moving to a new office in April 2024, we had Comcast business internet, where we had these latency issues for maybe 1-2 days a year. And we are planning to go back to Comcast this next week.
Can anyone else report issues with regards to latency with specific ISP’s ?
I specialise in setting up remote edit environments for film and TV post production (on premises and in the cloud, sometimes bare metal, sometimes VDI). Have first hand worked with high performance remote desktop protocols like Prasec, Teradici, JumpDesktop, TGX, reemo and Nice DCV. I recently came across some Citric documentation that mentioned some pretty impressive claims like up to 8 4k monitor support, 120FPS, AV1, and HDR support. Now, this is something that no other high performance remote desktop protocol currently offers, but all demos of HDX are like 10 years old and I cant' find any modern demo of what the actual performance is like and whether the frame delivery consistency is good enough for remote edit workloads. I'm curious as to whether Citrix on AWS would be a superior alternative to Leostream with NiceDCV (DCV IMO being the best remote desktop protocol on the market in terms of pure performance and versatility).
Can anyone shed some light on what the HDX 3D Pro Performance like in 2024 ? Is it comparable to something like parsec in terms of smooth moving image delivery and low latency ?
Has anyone able to get this working in Citrix multi session non-persistent VDAs.? I'm kinda struggling with it. I can see the Teams vdi plugin running on the host machine but I could never find out whether the vdi bridge is connected or not.
Any pointers would be appreciated! Thank you.
Overall, I think most agree that Citrix is better than other VDI solutions.
But what specified features / areas do you think Citrix does worse than others?
I’m working on setting up a new Citrix Cloud VDA machine catalog for W2025.
Objective is to have the Onedrive automatically log user in.
I have everything configured as per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/use-silent-account-configuration
However there is a line item that MFA must not be enabled 🤨
We have AD Connect for users and for Citrix OU devices syncing.
We are also federated using 3rd party Idp, Onelogin, for Office365.
Has anyone got Onedrive silent config working with 3rd party IdP? If so how?
Hello Citrix Community,
I'm currently tasked with evaluating load testing tools for our Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment. LoadGen has come up as a potential candidate, and I'm interested in hearing about your experiences with it.
Specifically, I'm curious about:
Additionally, if you've used other load testing tools for Citrix, I'd appreciate your comparisons and recommendations.
Thank you in advance for your insights!
Best regards,

I have updated to Citrix WOrkspace for Linux 2408 and now I do not have audio and video in Teams. Basically, I cannot make any calls. I've got Citrix HDX Not Connected status in Teams. Also no devices in the Devices section in Preferences in Citrix. I wonder if I need to reset something in Ubuntu to make it work.
We use a ADC VPX with 200Mbit bandwidth. The 2Fa authentication works from outside.
The users inside our network can login direct on the storefront. They not pass through the ADC.
Now we want to activate the 2FA authentication also for inside.
Is there a possibility to make the login on the VPX and don't have the bandwith limit from inside the network?
Thanks!
The connector (RS 232, DB-9) is possibly not the right connector. Is there an exact part or a way to check if the connector meets the requirements to start a serial session? It should be noted the connector is a RJ45 to DB-9.
Putty session settings:
Baud 9600
I did not see where I can set data bits to 8. I did not see where I can set stop bit to 1 or parity to "None." That includes Flow Control to "None." I just mostly change the settings to "serial," "9600," and check the COM I am using.
Hey, do any of you have experience with class 3 smart card readers in the vdi ? Officially these are not supported, but unfortunately I still have to make them available in the VDI. I would be grateful for any advice.
Hi,
I have an environment in version 2402 LTSR. Installation immediately after the release of this version.
Everything worked fine, but after moving four VDA machines to AWS due to the application migration, we have one strange problem.
After a short period of inactivity, users are thrown to the Windows login window on the VDA server. After entering the password, they can return to work with the application.
If a user locks their laptop (WIN+L), they are logged out of the Citrix application to the Windows login screen on this VDA server.
We do not have any policies, GPO rules locally or in the domain regarding idle sessions or logging users out of sessions that could affect this. The problem concerns working with the application, not desktops. The problem appeared when we migrated these 4 VDA servers to AWS, on the servers from our on-prem environment there is no problem. However, we do not have separate policies for AWS in the domain.
Maybe someone has an idea, I do not know what could be the cause.
