as per title and blog article, we faced this issue right after applying our new renewed licenses. ALL our VMs are in our azure tenant as licensed windows VMs running ltsr 2402 cu1.
this is more of a public service announcement if you run your citrix "on-prem" on azure VMs - ask your account manager for this SAAS but in your license renewal. Our account manager did not warn us or give any insight on this change during renewal after they knew we run citrix in azure.
i have no fix other than apply back old license and fall into grace period until license is fixed.
there is not much out there in googling for this issue only 1 i found was this dennis blogger. even carl citrix guru i couldnt find anything for "VMNotCompatibleWithDdc"..
How does this license work vs the user/device/CCU-based licenses? Is this something you need to purchase in addition to user licenses? or instead of them? And what are the usage limits?
I have a bare metal server (Xeon Gold 24-core, 128GB RAM, 4x 4TB NVMe, RTX A6000) and want to deploy a remote VDA environment for 15 users primarily engaged in video rendering and 3D modeling. I have experience with Proxmox and VMware in Linux environments but am new to Windows deployment. Additionally, I need guidance on application licensing for tools like AutoCAD, 3DS Max, and Photoshop 2023—specifically, whether multiple user licenses are required or if a volume licensing option is available.
Hi Folks,
Looks like Citrix Secure Access 24.8.1.19 on windows 11 24h2 seems to be not working, we have various machines different OEMS with above versions but are not able to create a remote session even though Citrix shows its connected. Other machines on 23h2 or earlier can remote in, not sure whats causing this issue checked all things like firewall, NetScaler etc
Hey, not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I wanted to give it a shot. I use the Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) on my Android phone a fair bit, but the problem is that the program times out when my phone's screen is off for like more than 5 minutes. Is there any way to keep it active? I've tried putting Citrix Workspace on the "never sleep" setting, but it persisted.
Anyone else experiencing issues with establishing new Citrix sessions?
Started around 8:30AM ET for us...
New connections fail with "no workstations are available"
Existing connections are still working correctly.
Hello Folks,
Ist there a way to configure a Button in the password Dialog Box so Users can see the password in clear Text. We have several Users requesting this?
Someone knows if this is possible?
Thank you in advance.
Tried to check few articles but haven't been able to find anything concrete. Any way we can create a readable format dump for Citrix Studio policies? Will be helpful for auditing purposes.
Hey guys. I've been setting up SSO for Citrix and Microsoft for a number of years, but I've never seen a high quality publicly available run guide (only dated internal Citrix Consulting guides that don't cover latest technologies). Online searches yields something similar but not exact.
The run guide should allow a user to sign in one time to Workspace App on the endpoint, and SSO kicks in for the VDI Workspace App and Office. Thinking of a guide for on-prem workoads with DaaS/Workspace, but I'd be happy with anything.
Deploying both SSOs into a VDI is long winded, and I was hoping to simplify the process (at least in my brain). This is probably my weakest area of Citrix, and it'd be cool to sharpen that skill. Thanks for the help, everyone!
My remote desktop connection keeps failing. I can sign in to the citrix workspace but when I click on remote desktop it just tries and tries and says Starting Resource.. for a while but eventually says connection timed out.
I am traveling to my home country on Nov 12 and I really need to fix this before then so that I can work from home. :/ I am not allowed to carry my office laptop out of the US and this is really worrying me.
After it fails, I get a 2 second pop-up that I have chosen not to trust the DigiCert certificate and then I changed the certificate trust settings on KeyChain Access but I still get the popup (image attached).
I tried looking into solutions on other reddit posts and the official documentation but I can't find a fix for this anywhere.
Do I need to change any settings on my Mac for this? Please help.
EDIT: My IT department has asked me to set up the remote desktop on my personal laptop so they’re aware of this issue and are also looking into what might help but to no avail yet.
Hi Guys,
Recently tested onedrive in Citrix, onedrive was not able to auto signin first time with new profile, if i closed the onedrive and reopened it in the same session, then auto signin worked.
Any idea?
Google released a blog talking about new features to optimize performance.
https://blog.google/products/chrome/google-chrome-performance-controls-october-2024/
I know that WEM is/can be used to optimize Chrome.
There are a few GPOs with the Google ADMX that can help.
But the new "Maximum" memory management feature sounds great and worth testing.
Has anyone played around with that in a VDI to see how it improves RAM demands on the desktop?
Dear all
Just looking for next possible steps to take...
My CCA-V and CCP-V will come to expire end of this year. I followed an instructor-led course (CWS322 - CWS 322: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 Advanced Configuration and WEM Administration ) and got my "certificate of course completion".
Completing this course should have been enough to renew my CCP-V. However....
Citrix Certification Manager isn't updating, still shows the old expiration date of my certs.
Created a ticket at Citrix -> They tell me to log a ticket at PearsonVUE.
Log a ticket at PearsonVUE -> They tell me to log a ticket at Citrix Support.
Re-open ticket at Citrix -> Tell me to open a ticket at Pluralsight
Ticket at Pluralsight -> Tell me to open a ticket at Citrix
Re-open ticket at Citrix -> Tell me to open a ticket at Global Knowledge (where the course was followed).
Hands in hair. Plz send help.
Wondering if anyone uses that with Gateway. Seems like an overkill to me given we also have STA in place to verify with respect to security. Would like to know whether there are any advantages of using it.
When I logged in, I can see that it successfully logged in when I hover to desktop viewer on my taskbar but when I click the desktop viewer, the screen will not show up. Anyone have a same issue like mine?
Anyone coming from the old CSP licensing know of a better solution? The minimums and new bundle skus are a massive cost increase for the customer I'm working with, for basically no additional value. They're planning on moving to AVD as quickly as possible, but need 6-9 months. Thanks!
On Partner central, for the past 5-6months, it say this :

We cannot see our internal certifications and others informations about it. How are we supposed to plan for next year training ?
Someone know what is going on witht this and what about the Citrix training/certification "revamp" ?
I want to use datastore clusters versus individual datastores, but I'm unable to get them to show up in my hosting connection configs. This happens both on prem as well as in Citrix Cloud. They just don't show up in the datastore list. It's not a permission issue with the account in vCenter. This is for MCS catalogs.
I can't find any supporting evidence on Citrix site whether they do or do not, and I even opened a ticket where I can't get a straight answer from support.
Has anyone been able to do this?
Anyone else having troubles with accessing DaaS Cloud console?
I am a bit lost here. Hopefully someone can point me into the right direction...
Desktops and apps are managed through AD groups. When we add or remove a user from one of these groups (for example give permissions to a new published app), this is immediately reflecting when logging in to StoreFront. When the user logs in externally through NetScaler Gateway, the app is not shown (only shows up after a certain amount of time). The same happens, when we remove a user from one of these desktop/application groups.
It's like the NetScaler is either caching something or not fetching the right CVAD resources for the user.
EDIT: I just noticed that I can force the refresh of the CVAD resources. On the StoreFront lb service group have 1 of the 2 servers disabled > added the user to the desktop group > desktop is not visible when logging in through NetScaler Gateway Then enable the previously disabled server on the StoreFront lb service group and disable the other server > desktop is now visible
CVAD version is 2402 base and NetScaler is running NS14.1 29.63.nc
Authentication is through Entra SAML.
Hey guys, i trying to test slimcore teams for Citrix, however when i’m install the cwa and clicked ms team plugin , i not see the msteamplugincitrix.dll in ica client folder..? am i missing anything ?
I was thinking about this: Cost increased and alternative options for Citrix. Is Citrix still popular or is it dying? Please advise.
Hello everyone,
i recently upgraded citrix studio storefront and vda from 7.15 LTSR to 2402 CU1.
Since then, when I open a session, I get this message:
On my Sunday drive coming back from getting coffee. Was wondering if anyone out there has a truly unique and interesting way of using Citrix technologies. Sure, we have the standard desktops and apps on prem or in the cloud, but I'm wondering if anyone's using Citrix in a weird or unheard of way.
Upgraded one host out of a pool from hypervisor 8.2 to the new xenserver 8. Everything looked good but I noticed no vlan networks are working. Anyone else run into this? I opened a case but haven't heard back yet so I might just end up rolling it back.
Only thing im seeing thats weird is the following in ovsdb-server.log 2024-11-02T22:58:55.291Z|26501|jsonrpc|WARN|unix#19223: receive error: Connection reset by peer 2024-11-02T22:58:55.291Z|26502|reconnect|WARN|unix#19223: connection dropped (Connection reset by peer) 2024-11-02T22:58:55.327Z|26503|reconnect|WARN|unix#19224: connection dropped (Connection reset by peer)
This repeats constantly and obviously shows an issue with openvswitch, its weird how everything is working fine other than vlan networks.
Hi, I'm using AppLayering 2409 and currently having issues with an Edge app layer. The contents within the Edge folders in the vDisk have disappeared. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks for any feedback.
Just started seeing this issue in the last few days in DaaS. This is a persistent MCS build and the machine is powered off. Started seeing an issue where the option to delete the machine from DaaS but leave the machine (hosted in vSphere) and AD object behind is greyed out. When cursor is hovered over the desired option a prompt is displayed that non-persistent machines can't be deleted using this option even though it is a persistent machine.
Removing the machine from the delivery group first doesn't make any difference. We are seeing this issue with most of the machines in the environment
Connected through PowerShell I can remove the same machine using the Remove-BrokerMachine "DOMAIN\MyMachine" command with no issues.
