Hi,
I tried to install windows 11 on my HP Chromebook x360 14a-cb0010ng. All worked till the Windows Installation, i tried a lot of driver but in the Installation he wont find the MMC Drive of Kinston. What can I do ? I also tried the Lenovo drivers.
Greetings
Tomorrow, November 7th, we will all come together to celebrate AMD Stoneyridge! As we all know, it's one of the best CPU architectures created by AMD, commonly found in Chromebooks. I will be showing my appreciation by posting images and videos of my Careena. We welcome everyone to show their appreciation of all things stoney!
Would disabling write protection change anything? I'm looking to install ChromeOS / Fedora lxde dual boot setup.
I recently wiped ChromeOS and installed Fedora on my Acer 516 GE. Everything is working flawlessly except I'm unable to wake the device from suspend using my bluetooth keyboard and mouse like I was under ChromeOS. Is there any workaround for this on Linux? Thanks in advance.
I can see the CX5500 is supported, but is the CX5501?
Okay, i have installed Windows 10 on my Dell Chromebook 13 (asuka) and i have to pay for the drivers, is there anyway to compile my own?
I have a Dell 11 3189 (non upgradeable), and i want to install a new OS (preferably windows).
I haven't found any tutorials or anything about windows running on this model, but i've checked coolstar and it says its compatible.
I have 4GB of RAM and 16GB of Storage, so i was looking to install Tiny10, which is Windows 10 without all the bloatware,it takes up 10GB of disk space. If yall think its possible to instal normal Windows 10 without problem, i think i'll do it, but my main concern is that it will take up all the storage.
I am worried that the OS takes up a lot of my storage
Would it be possible to use a microSD as storage and use the internal storage just for the OS? (This includes running apps and very basic games, so im not sure if you can install .exe or apps in general in a microSD)
Has anyone installed windows on this model or a chromebook with similar specs?
Is windows going to run smooth and Will i have enough Storage left?
Please help me out, I tried installing Windows 10 on my Chromebook, but after flashing the firmware, the device can not recognize the bootable USB to boot form. below are the error message
"booting from `eMMC Device` failed; verify it contains a 64-bit UEFI OS." Press any key to continue booting..................................
I can not see the drive from the boot device in the boot menu.
Kindly help me out I am stuck.
Thank

thank you
I'm an amateur so I'm not that well versed with these things but I already followed several tutorials and blogs and while I'm successfully able to boot my chromebook into developer mode, install RW_LEGACY firmware, use chrx or even a flash drive to try to install a linux mint into my Acer Spin CP713, once I get boot up into the OS and hit CTRL + L, it tells me:
^(Booting from Hard Disk...)
^(SYSLINUX 6.03 EDD Load error - Boot error)
I've been stuck in this for hours. Tried to reinstall RW_LEGACY firmware and have been redoing steps but I still end up with the same problem. Any ideas?
The moderation team of r/chrultrabook wants to share some serious concerns we have with recent changes to Reddit.
A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31st, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
This isn't a problem just for users; many of the staff and moderators depend on tools outside the official app to keep tabs on the subreddit, as well as to keep it on-topic and spam free. In addition, the official mobile app is a massive data hog which readily chews through mobile data like it's nothing.
The moderation team of r/chrultrabook is declaring its opposition (along with hundreds of other subreddits) to this API pricing change, and will be shutting down the subreddit in solidarity for 48 hours on June 12th through the 14th (and may even shut down indefinitely) until the tools to provide effective moderation are available once more. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love. This subreddit is honestly one of my pride and joys on Reddit.
Do note that the two-day blackout is not the goal. If the 14th is reached without any sign of fixes from Reddit, we may take further action that could involve potentially even permanently shuttering the subreddit and moving elsewhere.
Find out more at r/Save3rdPartyApps, or if you moderate a subreddit, its sister sub r/ModCoord.
If you need help with your chromebook during the shutdowns, we are still around on discord: https://discord.gg/tkPTk5w and we'll be opening a github wiki/issue tracker here: https://github.com/chrultrabook
So 18.04 is supported for extra time now? Anyone tried to enable pro on a chromebook?
