Went to a chipotle today and they told me extra cheese in my bowl would be extra. Not queso, but the shredded cheese. Can they do this? The cheese is the main selling point for me and it’s discouraging me from going back altogether.
Just curious as a customer…do employees working the line give a little more protein to the polite customers (saying please and thank you) or does that not matter?
AI was unhelpful, and I couldn't find it on the website.
As the title says, today was my last day at chipotle and let me tell you it hasn’t even hit me yet, it does not feel real. I know this isn’t going to be a universal experience, because I know some management treats their team like a dream. But me? I’ve been disrespected, I’ve been bullied, my GM has literally SCREAMED at me for like 3 minutes straight because she thought I was riding the clock but I was literally clocked out, my GM has spread rumors about me, other managers have spread rumors about me, I’ve been overworked and underpaid, I have been treated like absolute garbage and it is all over.
I don’t want this to discourage anyone from working at chipotle, because I’ve ready so many post and some managers actually care about their team. But my GM was just a terrible person. And I hate it because I am a nice person, but I was so overworked that I became so mean to the customers. And I know it is 100% not their fault for simply coming in, but you’ll only understand when you’re in my shoes. Im constantly yelled out for getting out too late, but there was only one other person other then me in the front so I was typically doing line, DML orders, cash, from 9:30-11 and let me tell you we are a busy store. Our management is just lazy, but they don’t think they are because they work long hours, but do nothing during those hours. I come in at 4, obviously I’m relieving the cashier and my AP is online. I’m relieving the cashier so they leave and the AP leaves too, leaving me to do line and cash and DML in some cases, and when I called him out for it another manager told me “not everything is about you”. So my AP leaves and there’s 2 people on the floor and we also have 2 big catering orders that are both due at 5 and that’s normal??
I guess this is a post to sympathize with anyone else who might be going through a bad time at chipotle, you will get out of it. I got out of it, and I am going to be making more money then literally everyone in that building with the new job I got. I guess this is venting post for me to vent and anyone else to vent!!
I do not drive, and was gifted a Chipotle gift card for $50. I placed an order for delivery using that card. The website did not inform me that Chipotle would be using DoorDash to deliver. The order ended up being canceled by DoorDash, so I called Chipotle customer service who told me that they could not put the funds back onto the gift card. They offered to give me rewards equivalent to the order, which still makes me lose money as I spent over $10 of the gift card on the delivery/tip. I accepted the offer anyway. I went to use those rewards today (a total of 6 rewards, one for each of the items on the original order), however, you can only redeem one reward per online order. I do not drive, I have to order online/delivery, so going into a store to use them all at once is NOT AN OPTION. I called again today when I saw this, even spoke with a manager, and there was literally nothing done to actually resolve the issue, I was just told that "technically" that is the best they can do.
Someone higher up needs to do something about this. I would have to order 6 DIFFERENT orders within the expiration date of the rewards which is only 30 DAYS to even get all of my "rewards" (which are just the items I've already purchased via the gift card). This will cost me more and more each time with the delivery fees and the tips. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE CHIPOTLE. I will never be purchasing from you again.
Also called DD who told me the refund would to got to Chipotle and they can't do anything except forward me to Chipotle's customer service.
I'm referring specifically to the Baltimore area Chipotle locations as these are the ones I generally visited.
It seems like over the past 2-3 years the Chipotles around Baltimore have went to complete shit. I don't know if it's just a regional thing or what but it has become ridiculous.
The rosedale location is filthy. Went there for lunch the other day when they opened and was the first person of the day. As I was walking through the line I noticed there was dried food all over the food bar. And it wasn't fresh from them just setting the pans in either. I got there at like 10:30 and waited in my truck until 10:45 for them to open so I was able to watch them set all the pans into the bar. This food was dark and dried like it had been there over night or something. And then once i was finished, the trash can was still full from the night before.
The White marsh location is unprofessional as shit. Stopped there before around 830pm to get some food and was told they had no more white rice. Said "oh damn you guys ran out?", and the employee said "nah we just don't feel like making anymore this late". They close at 11pm.. On 2 different occasions at this location I've seen employees try to fight customers. One of them claimed he was the manager, (don't know if true). And the last time I went to this location, I ordered a steak burrito with double meat. The dude put almost no steak on it and I said "double meat please". And he responded saying that is double meat. I counted 8 little pieces of steak. I said "then I don't want it bro." Then someone else claiming to be the manager tried to get shitty with me about me "wasting their time and food". I said I'm not paying 20$ for a half ass burrito and then I left.
At a Chipotle in Baltimore city, I got my food and went to get sauce on the counter and it wasn't there. I asked the cashier if they had sauces. She said "yeah, but i don't feel like getting them down from the shelf. I don't get paid enough for that shit". I asked if she was serious and she said "you can climb and get it if you want it so bad".
And these instances are all recent. Literally back to back over the last few months. There has been others over the past few years but the fact that it is always something every time now is ridiculous. I've been eating Chipotle for years and have never had any issues at other Chipotle locations outside of Baltimore. The portions getting smaller is bad enough but this trash service on top of it has me done. People here can call me a Karen or whatever if they want. But paying like 23 dollars for a burrito and a coke should at least get you the bare minimum of decent hygiene, basic service, and a meal that fills you up.
People keep telling me to call corporate and complain and I'll get coupons or something. But why would I sit there on hold and jump through the hoops of their corporate process just to get coupons for more trash food and service?
Anyways, this is my rant. Definitely in my feelings a bit because Chipotle WAS my favorite lunch spot. And now we are here.
Heyo chipotle reddit peeps, I’ve been a cashier at chipotle for a long time and just recently they told me that supposedly chipotle discontinued the rice bran oil. It made me skeptical that my GM/chipotle wouldn’t make a big announcement for its employees for that because a lot of our recipes use it, so I just wanted to check if it’s true
hi! i'm a v picky eater so my chipotle order is just brown rice & chicken. i usually get charged for a 3pointer, but the other day i went & got charged for a side of rice & and a side of chicken, it came out to like $6. can i order that in the future & save some money lol or was that just a mistake?
A multi million dollar company has to have people at the top who know that people dislike what they’re doing enough to never come back so they’re on the path for failure right? So why don’t they just self correct and fix it? Are they running it into the ground on purpose to make some money at the end before they close all stores within a couple of years? The cheap skimping out on meat, the small portions, low quality ingredients and health hazards HAVE to be on their radar by now. I stopped eating at Chipotle for those 4 reasons.
Not kidding someone legit told me “shut up you literally work for chipotle that’s embarrassing.” Like bro I am getting all of my tuition money back at the end of the semester and getting paid FAR above minimum and I’m a jr in college. This same girl dropped out of school💀
I saw that the Chipotle car napkin thingy was no longer for sale, so I made this.

Just like the title said. How much does a crew make in CS/Bryan?
Do the chip executives ever read this sub??? They could significantly increase sales by having customers that ditched them come back just by admitting they skimp people and announce they will drop it. OG chipotle was $7.88 and enough for two full meals . If it turned back into that , a lot of people would come back
I was starving and needed something quick, so figured I'd pick up chipotle in NYC. The chicken I ordered was I kid you not 90% inedible. Every piece was unchewable and completely disgusting. One by one I spit the pieces into a tray. The rice was old and stale - by far the worst chipotle experience I have ever had. So bad that I felt compelled to come here and write this. I don't think I will be going back for a long time, if ever.
I’m a Software engineer and even in my workplace anyone who lifts knows Chipotle is the way to go.
They need to introduce more options for slightly lower carbs and more protein, more sauces, and make that damn brisket a permanent fixture!
Regular at chipotle who always gets extra rice. Went to a different store in Chesapeake, Va and was told that they would “charge me double”. Is this legit?
I've been using this flair the entire time and I'm not sure if it actually means Crew
For reference, I only worked there from March to July of this year. For the first 3 weeks and last 3 weeks, the store was managed by a man who couldn’t keep his sexual thoughts and opinions to himself. (He was moved to a different store when I first started, he had to come BACK when our other GM was fired for incompetence.) I quit after I was scheduled only 17 hours in one week while the high school-age employees were getting 30+ hours.
Decided to stop into my old store and see who was working today. Every single service leader and kitchen leader has quit sometime in the past 4 months. Even a few prep people quit too. I found out the GM was only fired recently after he started inappropriately touching one of the female employees. I made a report about his inappropriate comments while I worked there but nothing was done.
Just checked and their recent Google reviews are awful, not sure how much longer this location will last.
If anyone wants to know which NW Georgia store this was, let me know.
Why is there no bitch and complain flair??? Any hoot… my husbands bestie came home from deployment last night. Today, he decided he wanted chipotle and to hang out. (It is also his birthday.)
My husband brought me back some chipotle. He knows I don’t really like the food anymore and we used to work there 2016-2018. Needless to say chipotle is soo bad now. I stopped going in maybe 2021 or 2022 due to extremely bad customer service and literally the line people yelling at me.
People still eat this crap? It’s bland, flavorless, and the portions suck. I feel like I’m chewing on matter. It’s literally a shell of its former self. I also stopped going because it used to be hit or miss. At some point it was just miss. I’m annoyed they wasted money on SHIT!
I wonder if they got a new CEO. However, I don’t think the company will ever recover.
