Looking for spots to park in hopes to sell a gently used work van, 2017 Promaster City with 75,000 miles. Looking for suggestions on where to park to get visibility for prospective buyers….
I have friends visiting from Michigan and they go home soon. They want to pick up a few postcards of Chico. We have looked all over downtown but could not find any. Can anyone help? Where might there be postcards for Chico?
I’m a local photographer and the weather this morning was too nice not to share.
Did anybody just see like 30+ white/baby blue lights in the sky? They were traveling northeast and faded from my view hella quick. I was taking the garbage out and saw it and now im freaked out lol lmk
Is there anyone (business or person) in town who removes trees without cutting them down? Like to transplant it somewhere else? We have an established ceanothus in our yard that we would like removed. Don’t want to kill it, especially since it’s native. But we want room for other trees in our yard.
Edited to add that we don’t want it somewhere else in our yard— whoever removes it would be able to take it
Hi, we love the self-cut tree for outside, inside a pre-cut bushy one.
With the fires, where's the best spot for a self-cut tree this year?
Where are the pre-cut trees? The guy we went to last year in the new mall parking lot doesn't seem to be there this year.
Local where possible.
TIA
Is there an animal rescue or shelter the would take crates, towels, blankets, sheets?
Drove back to San Diego yesterday after spending the week in Chico for Thanksgiving. Our daughter is a sophomore at Chico State and we decided to travel to her for this break. We rented a house near downtown and enjoyed walking, hiking, shopping, eating out, “run for food 5K,” and the ice rink. What a great city and great way to kick off the holiday season!
Im currently in Chico on my last work assignment. For some reason its only One train and bus thats come once a day here around 3-5 am but Ive missed the window to hop on. Im looking for a driver to help me get back to Sac $ Asap. I just dont want to have to Renew my hotel if i don’t have to
Not 100% certain I will be going on vacation but if I end up going I will be paying 300 for an entire week of taking care of my cat she’s friendly and energetic and mostly self sustaining
Fundraiser for school theater programs! Come on down!
Hi everyone! I’ve recently turned 24 and want to get rid of many many clothes. I don’t really want to go through the hassle of posting them on depop or anything. They are cute and I could definitely sell them but don’t want to spend the time. Does anyone have a recommendation for a consignment shop that buys clothes or something like that? I’d also be interested in giving it away to a charity that gives it for free directly to kids who need it, maybe kids in the foster care system
I’m on W Sac and Nord and for a couple hours now I’ve heard a helicopter and sirens and the helicopter sounds big
im a 15 and a half and in chico and im looking for a job but idk who would be hiring. Im trying to save up for a car. if have any ideas i would love to hear them.
Hi everyone! My partner is a security guard here in town and is looking to find a better job with a better company. I have heard good things about Enloe working for their security department. Does anyone have any advice on how we can get the attention of their hiring person? I know in this town it can largely be about who you know but this is an area where I don't know very many people and he moved here from out of state to be with me so he doesn't really know many people either. Any help is appreciated!
Any recommendations for a day trip outside of Chico to do some moderate hiking and nearby towns that have breweries or cool watering holes? Looking for under 2 hour drive. Open to all directions but want to explore more of the beauty of Northern California nature.

This took place at East avenue Safeway. This is a long shot but here goes
We joked about buying thanksgiving ingredients the day after thanksgiving. I was with my son. We innocently flirted much to the embarrassment of my 20 something son… You had a great sense of style, haircut with shaved sides, brown hair and a wonderful smile. Anyway, I am single 53 and felt connection. Wanted to ask you for your number but felt awkward with my son by my side. Hoping you see this! Shoot me a message.
Change of plans for my families Thanksgiving, so I’m on my own tonight, but Winco is closed. Not sure what I’m going to do for dinner
these two have been in our neighborhood in between of boucher street and bruce street they seem to have homes and be cared for.
my cat died recently and i'm having a hard time with it. i really would like to be able to pet some cats without signing up to volunteer somewhere, going through training, agreeing to be there regularly. i work and go to school full time. i'm overloaded and wouldn't be reliable even if i wasn't at this point. i'm kind of going through it. does anyone know of anywhere that would allow me to come in and spend time with cats? i know about the cat cafe too, i'm thinking about it. i would prefer to hang with shelter cats and not pay if it's possible
Good afternoon, my friends!
We're all being advised that this afternoon's update from Butte County Elections will be the last (major) update, prior to certification of the final election results next week. This afternoon’s update is scheduled to go live around 5:00pm, perhaps a bit before or after depending on their own workday there in Oroville.
Ergo: We will likely know the results for Districts 1 and 3 this afternoon, barring any really tight races to be settled with cure ballots or recounts in the event such an effort would make sense.
While the numbers aren't quite where I'd like them to be just now, I've always taken the long view with this—my goal has been, and remains, to see Chico make real progress in this election, and to move in a new direction that actually makes sense.
Make no mistake: I remain VERY happy, because we've already done that!
both school board seats are safe
2 of 4 council seats have flipped
1 of 4 council seats (District 3), is right on the razor's edge of flipping
In my own District 1 race, there is still a (narrow) path forward for me here—but even if I don’t end up prevailing in this election, there’s still much work ahead from the public’s side of the podium and in the broader community.
Ergo, and as I’ve said before: CHICO won in this election, no matter how the results shake out and regardless of events at the national level. And I sincerely mean exactly that.
Anyone that knows me, knows I have an irrepressible twinkle in my eye and an unflappable spirit. So no matter how things shake out today: Frankly, I’m just getting started! (grin)
Watching the clock today, to see what shakes out of the afternoon and what lies ahead for us all (and no matter how it goes, I’ll have more to say in the next day or two).
There is MUCH to be thankful for, and for all of us—even in dark times at the broader level, there’s so much goodness and possibility now in Chico that we’ve just not enjoyed in the last several years. One step at a time, my friends.
Hoping this finds you all, and finds you all well. And of course: Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🇺🇸
Any shop recommendations for brakes? Or if anyone does it for the low?
Does anyone know where I can find a schedule of the trains that go through Chico? I want to take my young kids to go see some of them pass by.
Anyone know of any nearby taxidermy classes, I want to get into it! Or if you know how to yourself 😄
