I'm finding conflicting information online on of chico offers some medical certificate programs. I don't live near by yet and I don't want to call or meet with staff unless I decide to transfer there. Or to a different school near by.
Does anyone know, or can anyone ask, of chico has any of the following as certificate or associate programs: sterile processing technician, surgical technician, radiology or X ray technician, EKG technician, phlebotomy, or laboratory technician.
I found a website that looked like the college site at first and listed all of these but then I realized it wasn't the actual college website it just had their logo. I found an exact copy of this website listing the same courses as if they were at shasta college, butte college, and yuba college. So I don't trust it.
I'm looking for a place in town that has a fireplace.
With this rain, my dog is so bored. Is there any indoor place I can take her to walk around? Does the mall allow well-behaved dogs? I know I could take her to Petsmart or Petco too, but anywhere else?
I woke up too late to make it down to the farmers market. Any recommendations in town to get a nice artisan loaf of bread?
We did this one with 3 neighbors, a handful of rakes, and a small water pump, no drip torch. We made a well defined perimeter and had perfect, windless conditions with proper humidity to allow the fuels to be consumed. No permit required for most landowners. There is risk involved and property owners assume liability, but the danger is reduced every time we successfully burn. This is truly the best tool we have to reduce the intensity of these continuously unprecedented fires.
There will be another good burn window after these rains, so please reach out if you have questions or would like to learn how to prepare your property for landowner-led prescribed fire.
Drove by the library today near 3rd and Sherman. Whats up with all the pot holes in that area🤦♂️. Is that general area all like that?
And you don’t tip your dasher for driving around in the rain for you, you’re probably a mean person.
I need to sell a car. It will go on Facebook Marketplace, but I'd also like to park it somewhere with a for sale sign in the window. Any ideas?
Im wondering your guys experience with renting companies like this. Are they pretty good compared to average or no?
Hello, if you have found a metal wallet walking around mariam park residential area please let me know. There is nothing useful in it but I have my ID and insurance cards inside so if you find it please let me know and I will reward you. Thank you!
I know someone who is looking to purchase a home in Chico and plans to rent it out. Does anyone know of an insurer who is providing landlord insurance?
Found female puppy in north Chico near hicks lane. She seems to be a guardian dog of some kind. We haven’t checked for a microchip yet. Let me know if she looks familiar.
I think my only 2 options are Chico Pediatrics or paradise pediatrics as far as where my insurance is accepted. Any parents in the area that have any experience with either they can maybe share? Good or bad. I’m not sure how to choose.
i think you were a two player team.. we're a two player team.. let's dominate.
Hello! I was looking to get a used car and I was curious if there are any dealerships within 30 miles that I should entirely avoid, or if there is any options that anyone highly recommends?
Hoping to find some recommendations on hot springs near Chico. I’ve used google maps to find some. But hopefully get some personal experiences from community. I’d love some that have a hotel or city close by. So can get out of town for a few days. Please share your thoughts and or experiences. Thank you in advance!
Need her gone ASAP just had a baby boy and can’t work on the truck anymore. She runs and drives but the parking break is stuck right now because the release handle is missing but should be an easy fix.

Original post:
I think we are headed towards dark(er) times, and I’m hoping to find like minded people to organize with for sustainability, support, etc while at the same time collectively opposing the things threatening the freedom of our country and the rights of its people.
I’m not a leader or organizer but I can take directions and show up! We are expanding our garden and hope to be able to not just feed ourselves but eventually exchange goods amongst those that can trade and gift to those who can’t.
Produce is about to become scarce and expensive, and we all know that eggs aren’t getting cheaper any time soon! We’ll be looking at starting our own chicken coop here soon.
Anyway, We live outside of Chico and I’m just hoping to find a safe place to gather and brainstorm ways we can not just survive, but fight back.
Anybody with ideas on where to get started, or knowledge of existing groups would be appreciated! TIA
***UPDATE: Guys, I’m blown away by the amount of interest this has already generated! It seems a lot of us are looking for a “home”, and I’m getting a lot of PMs in addition to notifications on this post. It’s exciting and a bit overwhelming lol.
I’m creating a subreddit so we can have a separate space to organize and brainstorm ideas. i envision a place where leaders and organizers will emerge as we go along and we will build something great together—whether that’s from scratch or by finding and combining with other established groups… I don’t yet know. I’m just so grateful and encouraged by everyone’s interest and input and support!
I will do my best to reply to comments and DMs. Please be patient as I have a pretty full plate, but I believe in this effort and its potential to bring us together!!
Was wondering if there were any breakers in Chico or surrounding areas. Recently getting back into it and was hoping to find others or meet up sometime to practice or learn
Does anyone know where I can get meat raised here? I’m over buying my meat from the grocery stores. At this point I only buy staples like rice, beans, and canned goods, from the stores. So I’d like to locally source my meat too, does anyone have connections to people that raise and sell beef around here (anywhere in butte really).
Hello! Back when I lived in Red Bluff I would just eat the nopales that my grandmother cooked, and now that I’m living on my own I’m craving some really bad. Does anyone know where I can buy some?? Extra points if it’s small business :)
Edit: I mean the leaves themselves, I have a pickling recipe I want to use myself. :)
Gonna be celebrating a friend's birthday tomorrow night and wanted to know what bars in downtown Chico (if any) sell Fishbowl drinks. I know about Franky's Fishbowls, but I'm not sure if they sell fishbowls exclusively on Thursdays OR if they sell them every day at the non-special/discounted price. As long as a location has them tomorrow night, price doesn't matter.
Edit: Something similar to this. fishbowl cocktails
Just moved back up to Chico, starting school soon but I was wondering if there is a car scene here? Either cars and coffees on Sunday or meets/group drives? Looking to make new friends though the process! Cheers
We moved here last year. My son just turned 16 not too long ago and wants to work. Are there places where he can work that does not require him to be 18? Thanks in advance.
