I see many ads for Race Communications and their new fiber home internet, so I'm thinking:

1. is it going to be better than the Comcast I already have? And Why?
2. Do they just resell AT&T fiber, or do they lay their own infrastructure? If they lay their own, how can that be profitable considering the exclusivity contracts to the big guys (Comcast) that is given by the county?
3. Am I going to have to drill a hole in my external wall? My wiring and networking is upstairs in my house, how are they going to deal with that?
4. What else am I not thinking of?

Hi, I’ve been wanting to move to Chico from Tahoe for awhile now. Well finally my place is up for sale. I am moving with my 25 year old daughter that graduated UNR with a psych degree than came home and did a year of science prerequisites to apply to nursing school.

She wants to stay in Ca. for the unions and nurse pay. But is slightly dismayed how sometimes it can take years to be accepted into Butte or how she might be to “old” for Chico State now (26) next year.

I can’t afford to pay for her housing as well as help with school otherwise she could apply all over the state (her financial aid is limited because she graduated college already).

I was just hoping someone could give me, as a single parent and trying to make the right decision, a honest opinion on Butte, Chico State. She does not have CNA experience, and she mentioned that Butte values this in their consideration.

where is the most popular place to trick or treat? anywhere fun for college students? things to do?

Just moved here are there usually trick-or-treaters around?? If so is there a normal time they come? Husband and I got lots of candy but didn't know if anyone would actually show up!

Ive lived in chico for a while now I have seen my fair share of restaurants come and go and it always sucks when really good ones get taken away.

Long story short I just picked up a burrito from mas amor corner of 3rd and broadway (same building as jon & bons) and it is one of the best ones I have had in chico. No joke. The restaurant was completely empty so if you haven’t tried their food please go check it out the next time your in the mood for mexican food.

Im not affiliated or getting paid for this in any way Im just a fan of good mexican food and was very impressed at the quality. It is a “sit down” restaurant downtown so the prices aren’t the cheapest in town by any means but the quality and taste of the food is really amazing.
