First of all, I'm one of those people that really enjoy the new format. One of my very few complaints is that the vast majority of the games are played at the exact same time, making it impossible to keep up with all of them. And yes, this couldn't have been avoided on Matchday 8. But on every other Matchday, why not try to split the games more between 18:45 and 21:00?
Usually we got two 18:45 games (most likely not so interesting ones for neutrals) and then 7 games on 21:00. Why not split those 9 games at least 4 and then 5? For pretty much every country apart from UK ones, the early kick-off takes place on 18:45 or 19:45, that's enough time for one to get to the stadium after work (assuming most people finish working at 16 or 17:00). Maybe make a rule to exclude UK home games from the early kick-off. After all Celtic (x2) and Aston Villa (x2) played away at the time of the early kick-off.
The benefits:
idk much about football but did man utd qualify for UCL this year?
Do a televised draft. The No. 1 seeded team picks first, then the second, and so on. Top teams would battle to get a better position. This would lead to instant rivalries and media narratives too. Keep the playoff round as is if you wish, and then do the draft. For the quarter-finals, do a full classic draw again.
I fixed your league, Ceferin. Send me a couple of VIP passes for the finals.
There is a possibility that The English Premier League could send 7 teams to the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League. What needs to happen is as follows. The 2024-25 UCL and UEL Champions come from England (1&2), The Top 4 in the Premier League this season(3-6) and The Premier League gets a Club Coefficient extra team(7). Here's a link that explains it in more detail, https://www.premierleague.com/news/4236670#:~:text=It%20means%20the%20Premier%20League,finish%20outside%20the%20top%20five .
Lile if it is 30 minutes into the match, can I rewind to the start of it or if the match is already over can i watch the reply ?
QUICK QUESTION: after the round of 16 games are over, is there a draw for the quarter finals or will the teams in the brackets just face whoever advanced next to them?
How come the draw wasn't a draw. But a foregone conclusion. How were man City always gonna get Real or Bayern??
If that so happens as the league wont get an extra spot where would the empty space for ucl spot go ?
I am excited to see clubs like Celtic, Feyendoord and psv compete. I also think it's good to see many different countries represented in the competition in comparison to the last 10 years where it felt that only a few countries/clubs got to participate in the knock outs.
Brest/PSG, Club Brugge/Atalanta, Manchester City/Real Madrid, Juventus/PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord/AC Milan, Celtic/Bayern Munich, Sporting CP/Borussia Dortmund, Monaco/Benfica.
What would you say is the second hottest tie after Man City vs Madrid? Sporting vs Dortmund perhaps?
Which platform has the besr deal, I am UK based
Here's my pick: Vini Jr vs Dortmund Gyokeres vs Man City Luiz Diaz vs Leverkusen Rapinha vs Bayern Lautaro vs Monaco Morgan Rogers vs Celtic
It consists of
Most over performing team:
Most underperforming team:
Stupidest defeat (basically a team who really should have one a game they didn’t)
Teams you think will get into the round of 16 from the playoffs:
Most unexpected win:
Small team that will go far:
You know, after a while, I grew fond of the new UCL format. But next year. this 18 matches all at the same time shit has to GO. It was miserable trying to keep up.
Never has the final round of the 'group' stage been this entertaining.
That loss against Bayern really made difference. But again, 11 points would in most cases be enough.
I personally think it’s better than the group stage format. What do you guys think? It is definitely more interesting, the only drawback is that players play 4 extra games. Would’ve been fine if it was two extra games, and then from the KO round, whoever finished higher in the table would host one legged knockout games all the way to the final at the fixed venue, that would differ first place from 2nd or even 8th as right now it doesn’t matter your placement in the top 8, just get top 8 is the goal to not play 2 extra games. They could even keep the current system and scrap the KO round and/or MD 7 and 8. Plus, it is more of a safeguard for big teams to still get into the knockout rounds, but little minnows to still qualify.
This alternative format that I made addresses some of the issues and solves them. Imo it’s a great format and better than this big league table format. Go check it out if you haven’t already for a more in depth look at it all if you want to see that format in comparison to the group stage format and this Swiss league/super league format as well to maybe see which ones are better and more superior than the other(s).
The amount of games played, the 4 pots of 9 instead of 6 of 6 like the UECL, you play 8 (4 home and 4 away) instead of 6 (3 home and 3 away) like the UECL, should only have the KO rounds added for 2 extra games while the amount of games in UEL and UECL aren’t even touched (stays the same) and all it adds are two more games to the UCL having a playoff system and making it interesting. Plus you could even have a UCL 24 team system to make it more prestigious of a competition again. 4 pots of 6, play two teams from each pot for 8 match days, 4 home and 4 away, OR 6 pots of 4, play 1 team from each pot for 6 match days, 3 home and 3 away.
A team from 24th could go on to win the whole competition, but it’s not that bad cause they picked up at least 10 or 11 points.
The way the 4 spots are allocated (give each 4 to Association 5-8 or make all 4 extra playoff spots, instead give one to association 5, give two to the best leagues that season, and an extra playoff spot)
A rule that should happen in every competition is that If UEL and UCL winners already qualified domestically, give out the next best UCL domestic spot to next best team, not necessarily a new format issue.

All of the issues could be fixed with this format that I made a week ago. Go check it out for yourself to see how I fix some or even most or all of these problems and issues that I have seen and personally have issues with.
Other than that, it’s a perfect system. What do you guys think about this?
bro why are so many people betting on all the games saying the payout will be super big if they get stuff right?is it because all the matches are being played at the same time?
Does anyone know if you can watch the CBS champions league coverage on the Zoomtak/King s22 dodgy box?
Wanted to know what people predict to be the most entertaining game to watch tonight for a neutral football fan.

Good evening to all my German Reddit users: Is there a website that streams the DAZN conference today (other than DAZN)? Thanks!
I don't have TNT sports because normally I don't watch the games at home. I see they have the goals show tonight streaming on Discovery+ but I just checked and it's £31 to sign up. I only want to watch tonight because of the 18 matches at once. Is there any other way to get the goals show - it looks like its not available on the normal platforms like Sky.
