Weboost Destination RV vs Hiboost Hero for RV use

I'm looking for a cell booster for full time RV living while stationary.

We have TMobile cellphones and TMobile Home Internet.

I'm happy to purchase the Weboost Destination RV kit but is there any reason why I couldn't use Hiboost's Hero home cell booster mounted on a pole on my RV?

If I can expect similar performance and function then I'd prefer to save the extra $300.

Need Good Cell Booster Help!

Hello, I am a storm chaser who was trying to stream the tornadoes in Michigan yesterday. Unfortunately I couldn’t stream it to the community because my cell signal was bad. Any effective and cost-effective suggestions to boost my signal so I can distribute valuable on the ground coverage to my community? Thanks!

Inseego FX3100 mobile router

Hey. I have an Inseego FX3100 mobile router. For home internet use. Cause most internet companies in my area. Suck for pricing. So I got this on deal with my cell service provider, and was wondering what kind of antenna' I should get. It has 1×2 TS-9 Exterior connector slot. On the device, I was curious if I should get omnidirectional or get a standard antenna for it. ? -kinda goin on a budget seeing as most are high priced!, and I can't go with anything for exterior use. Since i live in an apartment and the device functions on most common cell ranks? Like 5G 4G LTE, thanks for looking! And helping:)

New member. Some questions below

Hi! I got interested in Cell Boosters after a roadtrip. First of all, I'm writing from Argentina.

During my trip, there were 2 stops at gas stations from different towns. Neither of them had a single bar or reliable phone service. I asked the locals in case it was my phone or my carrier, but they were also struggling with bad signal and service interruptions. The WiFi from one of the stations was a disaster too.

I'm seeing that here we use the following bands:

2G: B2, B5

3G: B2, B5

4G: B4, B7, B28 (all three carriers). B1 (one of them), B2 (one of them)

5G: n7, n40, n77 (5G only in major cities)

The devices sold over here for cell amplification luckily offer a quad band (B2, B4, B5, B28).

What brands are good at this field?

Is there any site or shop in which I could look for Cell Booster Kits and filter by the bands I need to shop online overseas?

There's a Brazilian brand, Elsys, that sells a device, the Amplimax, that cover all of the bands (2G, 3G, 4G) used here, but it's a high gain directional antenna that plugs directly into a cell modem, from there, you can directly plug your wifi router or even a telephone. With no unlimited data plans available, from my point of view, a crowded cafeteria of a gas station offering an Amplimax would quickly run out of GB, but could make every customer able to use their own data plans with a cell booster kit, if there were 1 or 2 bars of signal on the rooftop with a directional antenna.

I read you.

Thanks in advance. Sorry if there are mistakes in my writing.

Tmobile in rural NC

I moved out here to take care of my mom before she passed and decided to stay for a while. She had HughesNet which is/was hot garbage, especially at those prices, holy shit. There are not many options for the area so I've got a few questions maybe I can get help on answering. The sticky post says tmobile 5g isn't boostable, is that still true? I can get a decent signal outside, almost nothing inside. I'm wondering if a) a booster would work and b) if that's successful, could I not just add their home internet option onto my plan and be able to at the very least stream some things on other devices?

Tonve signal booster problems

My signal booster is not working as it used to. The problem is I get excellent 4 bars of fast signal when I adjust my antenna, but shortly after adjusting the signal drops to 1 bar

Its a Tonve signal booster and I had it working flawlessly for about 3yrs So idk if i should replace it or troubleshoot.

Some insight I live in between 2 hills semi rual area with a Verizon tower to the east and 2 in the south. Any advice is greatly appreciated thx.

Signal strength

My house is surrounded by trees in rural Texas, no cell signal. But 250 feet away on my property the tress clear and there is 200 mbs. Without paying Verizon extra what could I do to get (relay, transport, hotspot) that signal to my house?

Cheap Car Cell Booster

I wanted to ask the community here, are there any cheap boosters that provide a little boost for an individual cell phone?

For reference, when tailgating the local sports teams, I can get reception but it's not great. My network is admittedly not the best but I do get reception, just not enough to allow my hotspot to run properly (and watch sports on the TV). Is there anything out there that would give my phone an individual boost to allow the hotspot to be more consistent. Through my research it seems I would just be cheaper to upgrade my network & phone but figured I would ask here.

Commercial use, remote location

I am engineering a commercial solution for field units to send diagnostic data home every day. Can anyone speak to the practical limitation of range I can get from a cell tower, provided that I can

  • mount as high as needed

  • pay for licence to operate if needed

  • buy premium (commercial, industrial?) equipment

If I purchased commercial-grade equipment, how far could I actually expect to reliably communicate? 10mi, 50mi? I apologize if I am skipping anything, a lot of my research kept turning up marketing claims that I can't trust.

Edit: Throughput requirements are pretty low. If possible, I would choose to operate in a lower band to improve range at the cost of speed.

Coax cable to attic - use with Waveform QuadMini or Yagi?

tl;dr what equipment do I need and what is the process for connecting an existing coax cable in my attic to an antenna that can boost signal to my Verizon 5G home internet box?

Good day to you all. User u/sideshow_bob69 posted a thread some time back in a Tmobile subreddit, and in the comments they confirm that they got their attic coax line hooked up with an antenna with their Tmo gateway. Here’s that thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobileisp/s/0vfXjPKM1Z

I have a coax cable (RG6 I think) going from my attic down to my patch panel on the first floor. It’s labeled “antenna” already and I assume it was for TV as the house was built around 2004.

I would like to use this coax for something rather than mounting and running separate wires.

I have the Verizon 5G home internet box (the new tall white cube) where you have to run pigtails inside the box to the SMA connection points on the board. I’ve heard Verizon uses the millimeter band not what other carriers do for 5G so does this improve my odds of deriving value from that coax antenna line?

Any nudges in the right direction appreciated!

Thanks

Cell booster works for boosting 5G and LTE for Phone but not Verizon 5G Home Internet

Hi everyone,

I just bought this booster:

Amazon.com: Amazboost Cell Phone Booster for Home -Up to 2,500 sq ft, Cell Phone Signal Booster Kit, All U.S. Carriers -Compatible with Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint & More-5G 4G LTE 3G FCC Approved : Cell Phones & Accessories

It works beautifully for 5G and LTE inside my house for phones and LTE for the Verizon 5G Home Internet Gateway; however, 5G is not being picked up by the gateway device. I am at a loss as to what is causing this. Does anyone have any advice?

It would be greatly appreciated.

Cell booster usage in Singapore.

Curious about using amazboost that seems to come with an US based 110v plug on 220v with just an adapter. I know some power supplies have a range operating voltages and can be used on both. Having trouble finding this information.

n77 booster for straight talk home internet

I live in metal skinned house and it makes getting cell signal a pain. My current 5g willson booster works great for my phone but does not cover the n77 Verizon band that I believe my 5g home internet works on. Can anyone recommend a booster solution for me, thanks.

Mobile Booster for Verizon in Remote Utah?

We like traveling/camping in remote places of western USA. Cell service can be poor to non existent. Can someone speak from experience of an under $250 booster that will help for mobile cell service in remote areas? Prefer to not have to set up directional antenna, but would consider it for while camping. Ability to swap directional or omni antenna may be nice.

Edit: Something for only one phone is fine, like a booster that uses a cradle for the phone. Mostly wanted for text/data. I would think a cell modem better than my phone but don't really want a new monthly expense. But, open to inexpensive cell modem that I can buy a month of service only when needed.

Thanks in advance.

Best carrier agnostic cell booster for apartment with no outside equipment required?

Moved into a new apartment with low-e floor to ceiling glass windows that essentially blocks cell signal. When the windows are open, I have full 5G. When closed, I'm in SOS mode or 1 weak bar of signal.

WiFi calling is not reliable enough given clunky handoffs and I regularly don't receive incoming phone calls or SMS text (e.g. security text codes from bank or apps).

I have fast Fios internet so really just need reliable cell signal, not counting on cell signal for data.

My girlfriend has AT&T and I have Verizon - same issue. Would prefer to buy a carrier agnostic booster. I bought the Verizon LTE network extender but 1. it only works for Verizon phones and 2. it relied too heavily on GPS satellite signal. I only found the majority of satellites with the window open and antenna out the window which defeats the purpose for me. Additionally we'd need an AT&T one...

Understood carrier agnostic boosters are weaker given FCC laws (or something along those lines) but can compromise for the ability to just receive calls and texts.

Any help is appreciated!

Vanlife 4g to 5g router and booster upgrade?

Before I start, here's some background info I'm in Canada using Rogers bands. GSM MHz 850 (5) LTE MHz 700 (12), 850 (5), 1900 (2, 25), 1700/2100 (AWS) (4, 66), 2600 (7) 5g MHz 600 (N71 DSS), 1700/2100 (AWS) (N66 DSS), 2500 (N41)

I have a 4g/LTE booster by Amazboost 2100(4), 1900 (2), 850 (5), 700 (13), 700 (12)

The Router I am using is a Teltonika RUT240 I bought used for very cheap. Also, this system is in a camper van - so omnidirectional antennaes and good bandwidth coverage is ideal. Also, I feel that the booster is necessary because I spend alot of time in remote areas with weak signal, as well as the van is a big steel box - having 4 bars outside and no reception inside is common.

I understand that due to regulations the faster 5g bandwidths are not boost-able right now, and that the lower bandwidths overlap with 4g but the speeds are comparable.

I compared my speed tests between my Cell data (it's an old phone with no 5g) and WiFi, my cell was 15MBps, and my wifi was 5MBps in the same coverage area, both using the booster signal. Is the data speed of my WiFi being limited by my router? Would I be able to upgrade the exterior antenna of my Amazboost with a MIMO antenna to get faster speeds and better reception? If there's a better way to configure this I'm open to any advice, I'm figuring this out as I go!

Booster not boosting Mint

I have a Cell booster that covers bands 2/4/5/13/12 it can boost my Verizon phone which is on band 66 but does not seem to be affecting my Uncles Mint Mobile phone on band 2. Any advice on how to get better signal for him?

Just a topic for thought.

I've seen a few guys using these really cheap barely 4Dbi mimo antenna pointed at the focal point of an old satellite dish, repurposing the parabolic to narrow beam and get higher gains.

It seems to work but I have a better idea. Those cheap antenna are almost always labeled as Omni and not directionals.

I'm curious, what if you were to have a fiberglass poynting 2x12 mimo omni... The 4 foot version...

If you were to drill a hole at focal point and mount the fiber glass antenna there(as many LTE parabolic do)

Would you actually boost your gain with an Omni of that shape? Or do you actually need a weak Omni to do such things... Just curious.

I don't have the poynting but I do have the signal plus version.

Curiosity is killing this old cat, anyone want to chime in?

I literally have no idea what is happening to my connection.

Well, have been on T-Mobile LTE for quite a while now, from September 2023 and everything was perfect. But this Monday, 4rth march hell broke loose. It works fine, till 2pm. After 2pm my download goes to 6mb/s (from 30mb/s), ping from 50/60ms to 200ms and upload stays the same. Here are some properties i captured using LTE-H monitor. RSSI = -71 dBm RSRP = -94 dbM RSRQ = -15 dB SINR = 5 dB
Also tried changing Bands and Frequencies (tried LTE2600 LTE2100 LTE1800) but nothing changed.
What the hell is going on?

Edit: If anybody searches it and this pops up it was just t-mobile's bad the internet fixed itself after some time.

Will a booster help?

My current rental is two stories(Coomera), inside the house on the bottom floor i get no reception (texting seems ok) and on the top floor its really patchy, it seems better near a window i get long periods before calls connect. My phone bars vary a lot at jome i see them anywhere between 0 and full. This is causing a lot of problems for me, and i don't even get notified someone tried calling unless they leave a voicemail. I just want to have reliable call coverage, don't care about data rates or any of that.

I need reliable call coverage for working from home until we move, so hopefully just need a temporary solution.

Is a cell booster going to improve my situation? If so what should i be looking for? How do they work can i just set one up in a room with better reception and it will help the whole house? Or do i need to have it setup outside or somewhere? Do all phones just connect or is there some way to pair just mine? Are there portable options?

Thanks

Sure call Fusion5s vs Uniden Ui25

Good day,

Anyone have experience with either of these models?

Looking to use 4 indoor panels on a larger home ~30k sq ft. Both are similarly priced, looking to see what everyone thinks!

Thanks in advance

We boost

Is anyone familiar with weboost? I've installed mine, and all seems to be good. The light on my amp is green. But is there anything that needs to be done to connect to the antenna? My wifi hotspot signal doesn't seem to have improved when the weboost is turned on. I can't see a difference on my cell at the moment since I have all of my bars. It's just my hotspot that seems to have an issue.
