/r/cassetteunderground
A subreddit dedicated to showcasing underground music artists and cassette tapes that don't have much information tied to them.
Find a home for your recording. Post your Soundcloud and/or Bandcamp here and there's a chance a tape label will hear it. Good Luck!

I got this Bluetooth cassette tape and it’s stuck in my Chevy truck player, does anyone know a cassette that would fit or a way to get this out? I’ve tried ejecting it but it doesn’t work.

In keeping with the original Chainsaw ethos, the cassette is home dubbed on re-purposed 60 minute TDK-D tape. Limited to 25 copies only.

Hello, everyone. I’m sure you’re all confused as to what is happening with this subreddit, so allow me to introduce myself.
I am Chocolate Chip, and a few weeks ago I discovered the subreddit in an attempt to get more information about a cassette tape that I found out of nowhere. After discovering the abandoned nature of the sub, I decided I would reach out to take over this subreddit and help resurrect it.
In the few months, I’m also going to appoint other moderators (if there’s enough demand) to help run the subreddit, as I cannot do it all by myself. Thanks for your time, and welcome (back) to the subreddit!
Any suggestions for the subreddit will also be taken into consideration. Please feel free to voice your opinions on what you would like to see for the future of this subreddit!
--- EDIT ---
We have added a few rules (nothing crazy), and some new flares. The rules may be self explanatory, but allow me to explain the user flairs.
Artist - You may give yourself this flair if you have future plans to release music, or already have released music. This includes streaming services, or it can be on physical media, such as vinyl, CD, or cassette.
Historian - You may give yourself this flair if you like to uncover information regarding obscure and underground artists. You may be summoned a few times to help uncover information about obscure tapes if another user requests it!
Enjoyer - You may give yourself this flair if you just like to support underground artists and what they have to offer.
If there are any more flairs that should be added, or any questions that you may have regarding these changes, you may ask here, or send a message via mod mail. Thank you for the continued support of this subreddit as we emerge from the shadows once again.
