I drive a 98' Camry and with it getting colder they're starting to put salt on the roads. Will my car be fine going through a carwash? I just got her over the summer and I don't know for sure whether or not it's safe to run her through the automatic car washes.
I recently got some rgb Xmas lights and thought about putting them in my car and hanging them tightly on the headliner but I don’t know what I should use to do so. I was thinking maybe a Velcro hook or some kind of pin but don’t want to damage the headliner and cause it to sag. I’d even thought about sewing them on as a last resort but again I don’t want to cause it to sag. Any ideas or suggestions?
So I recently bought a winter beater, specifically with the intentions of just getting through the shitty part of the season, that's it, if it lasts longer than that's a fantastic added benefit that I would run with. However the $800 car I bought has a bit of a transmission issue, (old and shes gone far 314887 km) so I am already driving her as carefully as possible with the goal in mind of it not giving out this winter, yet. I put a post out looking for parts for 2000 Volvo v70 and was quickly returned with a few options and one happens to be the same; year, make, model, color and all. Main difference would be the audio system, roofrack, some slight minor imperfections and clearly the VIN. So the one I have just needs a transmission, and the other one I'm looking into purchasing ($800) just needs a new engine, I could put all the needed parts onto my currently insured car and scrap the leftovers, But what I am here to ask the internet is; if the only difference is the VIN, how bad of an idea do you think it would be to use two of the same vehicles under the same registered insurance policy? I am fully aware of the legal fallout that could result if I were to get into an accident while driving the opposing vehicle (the ones that vin is not registered on my insurance) but do you think aside from accidents would I need to be majorly considered about getting pulled over in the wrong one, without looking at the vin would an officer be able to recognize the problem, would I risk any jail time for insurance fraud or just totally fucking destroy my great insurance history? Please contribute any personal experience/information,
I know it is a poor idea, but what am wondering is how fuck will I be if pulled over, I know I'll be completely fucked if I case any accident

I am wondering what car to get as my first car I am fine driving a manual or a automatic the only requirement by my parents are it has to be able to drive in the snow as I live in New Hampshire and it snows in the winter and it has to be affordable, any suggestions?
Hello.
I have a car that needs $3k of work needed to keep it going, it has a few lights on the dash. KBB says it's only worth $900-$1000 for a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu with 170+ miles. I also owe $2100 on the loan. Is the car worth getting the lights on the dash fixed with the 2 things needed to turn those lights off or should I trade in the car for something else? -Note* A week after spending $515 on winter tires, I found out I needed a lot of work done on this car... that is currently just sitting in the driveway cause it's not safe to drive.
Please help
Thanks in advance.
Im 16 and I’m currently looking for something to get me from point A to B. My budget is currently $4,000. Any tips on where to look? Anything to be aware of?

Hello everyone, I'm asking for an opinion/facts which car I should buy. I am debating between a Nissan Rouge or a Honda cr-v, these cars will be between the years of 2003-2013.
