Woof.

r/Capybara is dedicated to the capybara. Capybaras are a terminally chill animal, and they are pros at sleeping, snacking, and of course, chillin'. Fact: anyone who doesn't know about capybaras is ignorant.

Check out our other enigmatic animal friends at:

And our stumpy friends at r/corgi!

Also, of course there are our smaller brothers at r/guineapigs :D

  • /r/Seacows - Chubby like capybaras, but under water!

Can Pregnant Women Be Around Capybaras?

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a good day or night depending when you’re reading this :)

My girlfriend is finally 17 weeks pregnant and we have found out there is a place in our state that lets you hold and pet baby capybaras. We would LOVE to go and see them but we are just concerned.

I have checked google and found nothing, I even googled my question with reddit at the end of it and nothing came up, so I’m pretty lost.

We are going to ask her OB soon just to be sure, but they love taking their time responding to us unless it’s an emergency.

Thank you :)

An Artificially Intelligent yet genuinely cute capy

Hi, capy admirers. Our small studio recently made a short AI film about a girl and her pet capy on a quest to find the girl's father in a graveyard of abandoned ships. Lots of capy love went into production, so maybe some of you will enjoy it. The title is Intrepid and it's on YT. Here's the link, if they are allowed: https://youtu.be/3yF11FdSwC4?si=lEfp3Bf5VSHJJ4X7

We'd love it if you could check it out😊

Capybara? Nope. I'm a bench actually. Come sit on me and chill for a moment.
