Hi everyone, I have been doing some research on the Kambah Village - and was curious if anyone has had issues in the Kambah Village Shopping car park - in particular, any accidents due to the rundown nature of the carpark and the Trees near the Woolies entrance obstructing visibility?
Any info would be appreciated :)
Hi all,
Id like to know how many of you suffer from eczema, and whether or not your symptoms get worse around this time of year.
Canberra has never seemed kind to those of us with extreme allergies. In my case, my eczema has taken a turn for the worst in the last couple of weeks. Im thinking it has something to do with all the pollen floating around at the moment.
Please share your experience!
Are there any streets doing Halloween tonight?
I feel like in previous years there have been some good spots to hit where most the houses on the street partake.
Does anybody know of any good spots, much appreciated 🙏
I see it's Diwali tomorrow. I worked in India for a few years and was always back in Australia on both Diwali and Holi. Gutted.
I live in Braddon. Would it be worth a tram ride up to Gunners tomorrow evening? Is there likely to be anything going on?
Does anyone have recommendations for a good relationship psych in Canberra? Ta!
Hi all. Anybody know of a decent cricket coach, inner North/ South? Looking to help my son improve his game. Thanks!
Hi all. Really enjoyed visiting the embassies in Canberra for "Windows on the World" in previous years. I can't find any information on it for 2024. Does anyone know if it has been cancelled/discontinued?
Hey everyone, I’d like to know if anyone knows of shops or places that offer to do gift wrapping in Canberra. Thanks for your time.
Or am I just being a wuss? I am not too bad with hayfever. But any visit to Gareema Place or City Walk absolutely smashes my eyes with debris and my nose runs a marathon.
Was it like this every year?
Just drove by a grass fire on the light rail tracks, looked to be 2-3m tall. I'd avoid the LR for a bit if you can.
Hello friends,
Been invited to a Diwali celebration on short notice. Wanted to do it properly so looking for somewhere to get some Traditional attire. Anybody know of anywhere? I'm on Northside but ok to travel.
Are there any gyms that have exercise physiologists on staff? I have a few injuries and I don't find regular PTs have the experience or knowledge to design a workout that helps me with them. When I lived in Perth, my local gym had an exercise physio which was brilliant. Southside preferred
looking for spots around canberra that involve a nice hike to a swimming spot
i’m sure there are some good places around tidbinbilla or the cotter, any recommendations?
As per title I'm here for two hours before I need to fuck off back to Sydney. Thoughts?
I often notice that when I turn onto the Majura Parkway from Fyshwick's Newcastle Street / Dairy Road heading north, that most of the traffic that gets on there, then exits at the next exit at Morshead Drive. For a short while, traffic banks up on Majura Parkway. I was thinking it would make sense for Dairy Road to be reopened one way past the Jerrabomberra Wetlands with a turn onto that exit. It would help alleviate traffic on Majura Parkway, especially in the morning.
It wouldn't be much work required, and could make the morning commute a lot easier for many people. It would also be fairly safe, as the Dairy Road traffic could merge into the left lane of the exit, and traffic coming from Majura Parkway could be directed into the right lane.
What do people think about this, and if I wanted to propose it to our government, what would be the best way to do it?
Hello. I'm coming to Canberra for a week and I plan to do all the typical holiday stuff - the mint, parliament, the war memorial and museum, the art galleries, probably Questacon too.
I'd like to hear from locals what sort of things you enjoy doing? Especially after 5pm? This is my first trip alone and I want to feel I've made the most of it. 😁
I'll be arriving early next week, staying right in the CBD. If any events going on other than Remembrance Day. Thanks so much! Appreciate it.
New to Canberra and just wondering if there is any local sheltie owners that get together so the puppers can nergle.
