its probably way to late in the year for fishing but was curious if any sports are still hot this time of year in December with camping near by. thanks
People, myself included, that still visit, in particular, that beach on Lake Alice near Tomahawk, Wisconsin that is part of what used to be called Surewood Forest Campground (now Pine Pointe Campground) are noticing an extreme rapid increase of gang activity within the surrounding campground, as the new landlords, Tom and Dena Wulf, whom are known members of the Warlocks Motorcycle gang, have been evicting numerous people from their trailers and selling the vacated trailers and campsites to gang members, including the Warlocks, Black Pistons, and even a number of violent street gangs including the Latin Kings, Gangster Disciples, and Four Corner Hustlers. I have also witnessed numerous incidents this year of guns and firearms being pulled in the campground, people snorting cocaine and smoking marijuana at the Pine Pointe bar and grill and in the campground, people in wheelchairs getting overturned by the Wulfs and by numerous other gangs that have surged into the campgrounds.
Indeed, those new people running that campground belong even in East St. Louis, Illinois, where the entire community matches their lifestyles.

NewPort State Park, Ellison Bay, Wisconsin.
Hello Everyone, this is my first post so please bear with me.
I have a camping trip coming up (less than a month's time) to stay at Site 6 at New-point State Park.
I have been reading reviews due to being very excited, yet I feel like I have seen every site but Site 6.
I chose this site because my dog does not love swimming but I am worried that I have made a bad decision and should have chose something closer to the water.
There isn't even a photo on the parks website!
I understand I should have done more research prior to booking this site but I figured there would have been at least one photo out there to calm my nerves, that was already posted. Definitely have learned for future camping trips!!
If anyone can share their experience with this campsite and/or have photos please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it :)
We will be camping at site 16. I was wondering if you could get a wagon or cart down the trail? Also is there a good wood supply in the area?
Planning on going camping with some friends at or near Wyalusing State Park and looking for some cool things to do or see. ive seen some tubing activities and caves which seem awesome but looking for some more ideas.
also down for suggestions other than just that part of wisconsin, i’m from illinois so nothing over 6 hours away from downtown chicago.
Hey there! I am looking for a large group tent camping site near the Wisconsin Dells for around 30-40 people. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated!
I’m new to the camping scene. Are there any small group campers?
Hi everyone! We’re a university student-run start-up from Montreal passionate about making things easier for others to enjoy the outdoors, which is why we wholeheartedly believe in our goal of developing a new mosquito repellent that is all-in-one safe, effective, and eco-friendly. We’d love it if North American campers and hikers could share their thoughts and feelings toward the current repellents they use. We’ve created a quick 5-minute survey linked below and would be grateful to hear from you! As well, feel free to leave your thoughts below :) Thank you so much in advance!
Hi!
I stayed at the Pinewoods campground in Kettle Moraine South last year and I remember passing a campsite, I think in Loop 1 (the quiet loop), that was up on a hill among pine trees. I can't figure out which one it is on the map. Can anyone help me figure this out so I can go back and stay at that one?
Thanks!
Despite the wet morning we had an absolutely fantastic time this weekend. One of the best beaches I have been to on Lake Michigan! We will most certainly be back.
Hoping to stay at one of the hike-in sites at Newport State Park this year. I've heard that 12 and 16 are great, but I'm curious if anyone here has recommendations besides those. Would love to be as close to the water as possible.
