I’ve made the dean’s list twice already, and I don’t want to break my streak.🤣 Will it affect my chances of being on the Dean’s List for this semester? I’m scared.👀

hey guys, so I graduated from John Jay this past May with my bachelors degree in criminal justice. right after that, I applied for my masters right back at John Jay and got accepted… everything was going well so i thought. I took out a loan for school and a week before classes I realized that something wasn’t adding up, because they sent me an ebill and were trying to charge me $10K for one semester.. that includes three classes and i live in brooklyn lol and so when I finally got someone on the phone because no one was answering my emails, come to find out that I was programmed wrong in the computer and they had no idea what I was even studying… and I’m just now realizing that I never picked either the general track or the thesis track and now I’m panicking??? I don’t even know who my advisor is. Is this because i was programmed wrong from the start? idk what to do

ok so i made a post like 3 days ago about how much im getting back, i showed my ebill and everyone agreed on 2.6k. Well, now my ebill looks different and the second disbursement of my pell grant isn't on the ebill anymore. Is it because my TAP just came in and covered it or??...

I see a negative charge for summer does this mean a refund or do I owe?????

I’m currently a enrolled at a CUNY and I just can’t help but feel the CUNY and NYC itself needs college football.

1. You look at us when comes to sports and we have teams in almost major sport but yet we lack a college football team, sure we have Syracuse and Buffalo but that’s different, I’m talking about NYC not NY State, NYC lacks that CFB atmosphere that’s are in most cities and states

2. CUNY could have its own division amongst itself and play against other D-3 opponents that they would play against but maintain a CUNY division like they do with their regular sports

3. Some CUNY schools have their own field such as Queens College, York College, Brooklyn College, College of Staten Island where they can possibly play football in and overtime they can possibly improve their infrastructure and other schools can probably use other stadiums that are in the NYC Area

4. It can generate revenue for those schools overtime through fans and playing against other teams just like other CFB teams and eventually become good enough to make it D1 overtime

5. It gives chance to people from NYC who aren’t able to leave NYC due to reasons and other states who’ve played high school the chance to play CFB

So yeah that’s why I came on this community to say this, if you think there anyway I can convince CUNY to implement a football program such as creating a petition, please let me know and thank you for listening to me

For those IT fellow, anyone got a job placement? When and what time did you get the email? Do you think those who haven’t got the email won’t have chance?

Hello I wanted to ask is anyone here participating in CUNY Reading Corps or have had in the past? For anyone who has done this do you recommend it and how was your experience? I have this hold on my account but I still received my refund today, should I be concerned😳 am i gonna have to give money back or something? I only noticed today and it's already 3am, so I'll contact my bursar office soon but is anyone familiar with this?

I feel like I'm being played with by my Campus. The image posted is a hold I have had and when I poked the Financial Aid Office about it, they said I should ignore. When I poked Bursar they said I had a refund coming in for Friday, which has just passed.

I did get an email tell me they revised my Financial Aid but I'd still get about 1.2k.

What's the problem with this hold?

Hi, I am an international student in BMCC. I will start my semester this spring 25. I already completed 1 year in electrical engineering in Finland and transfered here to start in CS. I basically don't have any coding background and average in math. Any BMCC CS major hare can shoot out what and what not to do .... Let me know your thoughts 💬. Chao....

I was singed up for direct deposit and I got a new bank card. Disbursement was suppose to be sent out today and I think it got sent to my old(closed) bank account. What do I do?

Hi! I’m a computer science major at BMCC. I’m currently taking MAT 301. My class meets one day with the professor and one day we do lab problems with python.

So far the lab professor isn’t rlly teaching the class and just mumbles through the examples, so it gets confusing.

Anyone know if this python lab component is part of MAT 302 or PHY 215 as well?

I’ve applied for tap and I go to city tech and I have a chase bank account. I heard from people that chase gives the money on Fridays but the friend that i did my tap with already got her money and we both have a chase account. I don’t have any issues with anything on my cuny first. Please help.

It has been at least two months since I uploaded my income eligibility document but it’s still processing. Anyone in the same train as me? How long do they usually take?

I read online how some advisors are very helpful but mine seems either to be very new or just not taking her job seriously. Like this is my life and i need guidance.

Is there anyway to change asap advisor? Who would I need to talk to for that? Is there any management?

I don’t want to make any enemies or anything. I just want a proper advisor.

Hello All! Just wanted to share that I was just accepted as a fellow for the Civil Service Pathways from CUNY. It has been a good 2 weeks interviewing with 8 different city agencies for the role in their Procurement and Finance Division. Glad to be able to be offered a spot in this Cohort. More specifically, will be joining the Dept. Of Education - Division of Operations and Finance/School Facilities.

I applied to CUNY last year for the Fall 2024 semester and never went and now want to apply for the Fall 2025 semester does this mean I have to do a whole new application and does my CUNY First account still remain?

My aid has been disbursed since 9/23/24 but nothing going to the refund column. Is this usual? I have about $1800+ to be refunded after tuition and fees are covered.
